A man in Seattle recently built a 3,000 pound coffin from scratch for future generations to find a single bag of Flamin’ Hot Cheetos.
The artist, who goes by Sunday Nobody, revealed his process in a TikTok video currently blowing up online.

Sunday Nobody is an artist whose work extends beyond the traditional canvas. Earlier this year, he set up a vending machine dispensing fake IDs in New York City, New York.

The creator describes himself as a “meme artist” putting hours upon hours of work into his pieces, as revealed by his videos chronicling his process. However, his latest work might be his most involved one yet.

Using the Flamin’ Hot Cheetos meme as a jumping-off point, Sunday Nobody built a 3,000 pound coffin by hand to immortalize a single bag of the popular snack.
Like all of his work, this one has something to do with the current zeitgeist. In doing so, Sunday Nobody could be suggesting that Flamin’ Hot Cheetos are an artifact worth preserving for future generations. Another theory is that he’s just making a joke and going to extreme lengths to make his point.
In a three-minute video, the artist shows viewers creating a sustainable coffin that can safely store the bag of Flamin’ Hot Cheetos until somebody eventually opens them in 10,000 years.
Long story short, he built a container for the Cheetos that could endure something as small as a rainstorm to something as intense as an earthquake. He encased the bag of Cheetos in a glass box filled with resin before stabilizing it with wires that keep it elevated.
He spray painted the ingredients to Flamin’ Hot Cheetos on the actual coffin.
Even though part of it is a joke, commenters think there is value in preserving one of the most popular snacks of an entire generation.

Although some commenters on the original TikTok struggle to understand why someone would go to such lengths for a bag of Flamin’ Hot Cheetos, others think the project has some real value.
