Canadian Coffee Chain Tim Horton’s Updated Their Lids And Justin Bieber Is Not Having It, “It’s A D*** Outrage And Needs To Be Changed Back”

Have you ever wondered, ’How does Justin Bieber take his coffee?’ Well, the answer is, seriously, very seriously. The pop super-star took to Instagram just a few days ago, to slam the Canadian coffee chain, Tim Horton’s, because they had the audacity to change their coffee cup lids! Needless to say, The Biebs was not happy about the change. here’s what went down.

Justin Bieber is not impressed with Tim Hortons coffee cup lids.

https://www.instagram.com/p/B2_h6cagTff/ The Canadian fast food chain, Tim Hortons, has received criticism over their leaky lids in the past, so they completely revamped them this year —but Bieber was not having it. The Canadian singer posted a poll on Instagram asking his followers: “Who’s Canadian and misses these lids at Tim Hortons like I do?”

After posting a poll about the lids on his Instagram story, Bieber posted the results.

Bieber posted the poll results on his Instagram page, showing 70 per cent of the people who voted miss the lids and 30 per cent did not. “@timhortons I know they could leak but it was easier to drink out of.. the coffee would come out better.. these new lids are uncomfortable on the mouth, and you get very little liquid each drink,” Bieber captioned the poll results.

Bieber was also upset that the lids were made out of plastic.

“It’s a damn outrage and needs to be changed back. Tbh [to be honest] it shouldn’t be plastic find a way to be recyclable let’s change the world 1 lid at a time,” Bieber added.

Bieber posted a response from Tim Hortons on Instagram.

The ‘Love Yourself’ singer then took to Instagram to post the response he received from the coffee house ‘“We’re making a a change one lid at a time. Thanks @timhortons,” the singer captioned it . The Canadian chain wrote: “Hey @justinbieber thanks for your feedback. Sorry you aren’t loving our new lids, but the good news is that they’re made with 100 per cent recyclable plastic. We’d love to have you join our team that’s working to make them even better! DM us.”

Bieber posted a photo of the old lids on Instagram, writing: “This is where it’s at @timhortons.”

The saga didn’t stop there. On Sunday, Bieber posted another photo of his Tim Hortons coffee with the old lid design. He captioned the post, “This is where it’s at @timhortons.”

But wait! There’s more..

While at a sporting event with his wife, Hailey Bieber, the chain gifted him with an entire bag of the old beverage covers, and of course he had to update us all on the status of the coffee lid debacle. “We lost but I got a bunch of lids so there’s a win out of the night somewhere :(“ he boasted on his Instagram Stories as he showed off his unusual gift.

And there’s even more tea (or should we say coffee?)

Justin responded to a random girl’s comment on the original lid outrage post, and we just thought it was pretty funny. So here you have it, because sharing is caring, here’s the shade thrown by Bieber to a random fan: “What would you do if I was in a hotel room alone?” read the fan’s comment. “Leave you there,” was Bieber’s shady response.

The Canadian chain redesigned the lies to avoid spillage.

Starting in the summer of 2018, Tim Hortons gradually replaced Justin’s preferred lids in restaurants across Canada. The new lids, which he obviously dislikes, are taller, with a raised dome and tabbed closure, and are embossed with a maple leaf. According to Huffington Post Canada, they’re made of polypropylene — a recyclable plastic.

It’s not the first time the Biebs has taken to social media to complain about a product.

While Justin eventually did get dozens of his beloved old lids at the hockey game on Saturday, the singer has a previous history of making requests for brands to improve their stuff on social media. In May, he tweeted about the “need” for Popsicle’s Double Stick Popsicles to find their way back on to supermarket shelves. Though the brand teased a possible return for the large frozen treat in July, it has yet to make a permanent comeback, he did get his own custom made batch of popsicles.
