Lin-Manuel Miranda Sang Trump Tweets And It’s As Terrifying As You’d Think

Lin-Manuel Miranda’s “new musical” sounds like a horror movie.

GQ teamed up with the brain behind Broadway sensation “Hamilton” to bring to light the ridiculousness that is Donald Trump’s Twitter feed. The Puerto Rican genius rode around New York City in a double decker bus and sang the GOP’s frontrunner’s most ridiculous tweets. And because this is Trump we’re talking about, Lin-Manuel Miranda had a lot of source material to draw from. Like that time Trump wished everyone a good day on this “special day, September 11th.” The video ends on a very solemn and totally terrifying note that the U.S. might have to endure a Trump musical on November 8 if we don’t get out and vote. Who wants that? *crickets* Precisely.

But that’s not all of the Miranda news today. The trailer for “Hamilton’s America” is also out!

In case you didn’t know, the musical “Hamilton” is all about immigrants contributing to the founding of this wonderful country. The PBS documentary will take you behind the scenes of “Hamilton.”As the Puerto Rican native said in a commencement speech at the University of Pennsylvania:

“In a year when politicians traffic in anti-immigrant rhetoric, there is also a Broadway musical reminding us that a broke, orphan immigrant from the West Indies built our financial system. A story that reminds us that since the beginning of the great, unfinished symphony that is our American experiment, time and time again, immigrants get the job done.”

¡Dale, bro!

Hello, would you like to take a quick break from the smoldering dumpster fire that is the world we live in and just watch something kind of nice for a short slice of time? Me too. Here, then, is “The Voice” contestant Lauren Diaz performing Alicia Keys’ “If I Ain’t Got You.”

It takes guts to perform in front of people, period, but Lauren takes it one step further by performing Alicia’s song IN FRONT OF Alicia. Fortunately, Lauren has the voice of an angel singing lullabies to precious little puppies, and Alicia was the very first judge to swivel around, and even sang along. Here she is the very moment she thought, “Oh, hell yes”:

Miley Cyrus and the dude who poses with Gwen Stefani also turned around and cheered Lauren on, and the audience basically went wild. All of which inspired this amazing response:

The judges got competitive and pretty creative in their attempts to woo Lauren over to their teams, but it was basically all won and done when Alicia began serenading Lauren:

It was beautiful, and Lauren’s family, including her son, basically went wild cheering for their girl. And, of course, she went with Alicia (even though she admitted her son’s favorite is Blake). TOO MUCH CUTENESS ALL AT ONCE.

In conclusion:
