Ricky Martin Says That It Is ‘Super Sad’ For Him To See Latinos Voting for Donald Trump

Ricky Martin says when it comes to the Latino support of Joe Biden for president, voters bang. He also says those who are voting for Donald Trump completely bomb.

In an interview with The Big Ticket podcast, the “Livin La Vida Loca” singer highlighted the importance of voter turnout and laid out his reasons for giving former Vice President Joe Biden his own vote.

Speaking to The Big Ticket, Martin underlined his efforts to see change this year.

“I’ve been supporting Biden forever,” the singer shared on the podcast. “I think he is the only option we have and he is great. He has been in politics all his life. This is the moment. We all need to get together and be loud about the course of this nation.” For Martin, it seems that the backing of Biden by the Latino community is especially important and seeing anything less is something he truly cannot understand. Martin went so far as to highlight his disbelief in seeing Wanda Vázquez, the current governor of Puerto Rico, endorsing Trump this year.

“Who is that? Next!” he exclaimed during the podcast. “She doesn’t even exist. She wasn’t even elected by the people. She’s not part of this conversation.”

Trump went onto call Latinos in the United States who support Trump “really scary.”

When asked about Latinos in the United States who support Trump, Martin said it’s “really scary” to see but he remains positive that the majority of Latinos will vote him out of office.

“It’s really scary,” he said, before commenting that he does think that the majority of Latinos will vote for Biden. “It’s super sad. I think. Trumpeters make a lot of noise. And it’s scary to see their enthusiasm but us, we’re doing what’s right, the right way and we’ll see what happens in November. But I’m very optimistic.”

“I am a Latino, gay, married to an Arab living in Trump’s America,” he said about his husband Jwan Yosef, a Syrian-born, Swedish painter Marin married in 2017. “We check all the boxes.”

Martin’s comments come at a time when Trump continues to receive support from Cubans in Florida.

The battleground state has seen Cuban Americans, who often vote Republican, make last-ditch efforts to reelect Trump. “Florida’s Cuban American voters remain a bright spot in Trump’s effort to retain his winning coalition from 2016,” ABC reported. “Polls show his strong support from these key voters may even be growing to include the younger Cuban Americans that Democrats once considered their best hope of breaking the GOP’s hold. For Trump, that support could prove essential in a tight race in a state he must win to beat Democratic challenger Joe Biden.”

Referring to the increase in early voters this year, Martin says he’s happy to see voters turning out. “For that, I’m extremely happy,” he explained. “We’ve had plans of if we might leave the country. No, we have to stay here and fight for our rights and for what we believe.”

You can check out Martin’s full interview with The Big Ticket on Nov. 3.

This Pathetic Christmas Tree Is The Ultimate Symbol Of 2020 And Goes Viral For All The Wrong Reasons

This Pathetic Christmas Tree Is The Ultimate Symbol Of 2020 And Goes Viral For All The Wrong Reasons

It’s beginning to look a lot like the holidays. Despite the Coronavirus pandemic, the holidays are fast approaching and with it: Christmas trees are going up in cities across the country.

Though, it looks like 2020 is also taking it’s toll on these annual traditions.

From New York to Cincinnati, these holiday icons aren’t exactly living up to their expectations, with many saying they’re sad, pathetic appearance is peak 2020.

Cincinnati’s Holiday Tree goes viral for looking like the sad symbol of 2020 we all expected.

It all started over the weekend in Cincinnati, when a picture of the Macy’s holiday tree setup in the city’s Fountain Square started going viral for all the wrong reasons.

The photo looks like an after photo of a wood chipping incident, according to one Twitter user. Many of the branches were still tied up and the tree looked to be missing giant patches of greenery and limbs.

Of course, photos of the sad, sad tree quickly went viral with many relating to it’s 2020 feels.

Many compared it to the tree from A Charlie Brown Christmas.

The Cincinnati tree was quickly compared to the tree in A Charlie Brown Christmas, for its truly pathetic appearance. Even Stephen Colbert got in on the Christmas tree roast. “OK. Yeah. That’s me. That’s got the feels,” Colbert said when we showed a photo of the sad tree.

He said it looks like the tree went on its last march into Isengard, a “Lord of the Rings” joke about the Ents marching into battle in The Two Towers.

Colbert went on to poke fun at officials who said the tree looked that way because the branches were still tied up with twine.

“Can I start using that excuse?” Colbert asked. “I know it may look like I haven’t exercised since March, but it’s just the twine. If you untwine me I’m harder than a Hemsworth.”

However, city officials promise the tree will look great once it’s “fluffed up” and decorated.

Acknowledging it’s less than ideal appearance, Fountain Square officials also poked fun at the tree.

“2020 has been a rough year for all of us, including our tree. Our team is hard at work making this 65’ Norway Spruce beautiful for the holiday season,” they wrote. “Stay tuned for transformation photos as we get her fluffed up and beautified after her long drive into town.”

And it seems that they’re following through with their promise. Since the weekend, it does seem like the tree is being upgraded: most of its branches have been untied and “fluffed out,” leading to a more polished look.

Even the actual tree spoke up about the controversy.

The tree even put out its own statement through a Twitter account, @TreeFountain. A pinned Tweet on its profile page insists that the tree is “just doing the best (it) can in these trying times,” and under Owsley’s photo, the page insisted that the tree had just been missing some personal care sessions.

But it wasn’t the only sad tree – New York’s Rockefeller tree also didn’t look great.

This year’s Rockefeller Christmas tree, which comes from Central New York, is reminding many people of Charlie Brown.

The 75-foot Norway spruce, donated by Al Dick of Daddy Al’s General Store in Upstate New York, arrived in New York City on Saturday for the annual holiday tradition. Many social media users complained it didn’t look very full after being lifted into its spot by a crane, and compared it to the sad-looking tree from “A Charlie Brown Christmas.”

A tree-lighting ceremony is scheduled for Dec. 2 at 7 p.m. on NBC’s “Christmas in Rockefeller Center” special. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, there will be no public access to this year’s event, but the lighting will be broadcast on television to continue the tradition.

One Twitter user summed up the whole debacle perfectly.

Although many on Twitter were pointing out just how similar the trees look to how we all feel in this cray cray year, one user set it perfectly.

“The Rockefeller tree. The Cincinnati tree. You know what? ALL 2020 Christmas trees should be Charlie Brown trees. Every dang one. I wouldn’t have it any other way. On New Year’s Eve, we can light them all on fire and pretend none of this ever happened,” another tweeted.

Brazilian President Bolsonaro Distances Himself From Former ‘Friend’ Donald Trump

Brazilian President Bolsonaro Distances Himself From Former ‘Friend’ Donald Trump

As we previously reported, different world leaders gave very different responses to Biden’s win and Trump’s loss of the recent presidential election.

While Mexican President López Obrador is making headlines for refusing to acknowledge Biden’s victory “until all the legal matters have been resolved,” another Latin American president is grabbing the media’s attention for a recent remark he made.

Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro surprised everyone by recently telling a group of students that Trump “isn’t the most important person in the world.”

“I’m not the most important person in Brazil, just as Trump isn’t the most important person in the world,” he told a graduating class of police cadets. “No one is more important than God.” This statement raised eyebrows because up until this point, Bolsonaro acted like Trump was, indeed, the most important person in the world.

Throughout his presidency, Bolsonaro has made a public display of his respect and admiration for President trump. In fact he was so complimentary of Trump that the media dubbed him the “Trump of the Tropics”. He went so far as to tell Trump “I love you” at a meeting between the two world leaders in at a United Nations conference in 2019.

The similarities between the two blustering leaders are numerous.

They both practice populist, nationalistic, authoritarian tendencies. They both have placed their children in high-ranking government positions. They both love to use the term “fake news”.

Since Trump’s defeat, Bolsonaro’s son Eduardo has continued to publicly voice his support of Trump. He recently Tweeted out a statement implying that Americans are “naive” and “puppets” of social media conglomerates who are dictating to us what is “real or fake” based on their selfish desires. He also Tweeted out that “disinformation is the weapon of the left.”

But sources close to President Bolsonaro say that he has adopted a “more pragmatic tone” since his advisors told him that Trump wouldn’t be the next President of the United States.

Although Bolsonaro appears to have distanced himself from Trump he, still, reportedly has not congratulated Biden on his win. But nevertheless, he no longer seems to be as head-over-heels with Trump as he did when Trump was at the height of his power. Bolsonaro’s attitude reversal begs the question: if he can forsake his “friend” and role model Donald Trump, we wonder what other former sycophants are next in line to cut ties with the sitting duck president.
