Italian Mayors Are Showing J.Lo A Lot Of Love After She Mentioned Wanting To Move To The Country

Jennifer Lopez has checked off more than all the bucket list life experiences “Jenny from the Block” could have even imagined, but there’s still one more she yearns for: to live abroad in a small town in Italy or in Bali and enjoy the simple things in life. The 50-year-old singer, actress, producer, and businesswoman has graced the cover of Vanity Fair alongside an in-depth interview that affirms the importance of Latinas gaining power in the U.S. and a long-held desire to leave it all behind for a “more simple and organic” life. In the wake of J.Lo’s recent Academy snub for her role in “Hustlers,” she confirms that she is very intentional about why she’s only hired female directors for all her productions to date. “It’s about breaking the mold of what people are used to,” she told Vanity Fair’s Britt Hennemuth.

It’s clear that J.Lo is committed to breaking the glass ceiling for Latinas and all women alike here in the United States, but that hasn’t stopped mayors across the Italian countryside from wooing Jenny from the Block to move to their idyllic town.

Lopez revealed that all she wants to do is “ride a bike, and buy bread, and put it in my basket, and then go home and put jelly on it.”

For Lopez, that kind of life may only be possible somewhere very far on the other side of the world, more removed from her celebrity. “I would love to live somewhere other than the United States, in a small town in Italy, or on the other side of the world, in Bali. Find another life where it’s a little bit more simple and organic and where I get to ride a bike, and buy bread, and put it in my basket, and then go home and put jelly on it, and just eat and paint, or sit in a rocking chair where there was a beautiful view of an olive tree or an oak tree and I could just smell. I have fantasies like that,” Lopez told the magazine.

“If you ever do move overseas don’t forget to take Arod with you,” one Twitter user implored of J.Lo. While it doesn’t seem like Americans are taking her fantasy too seriously, the rest of the world certainly is.

Several mayors around Italy have publicly reached out to the Puerto Rican Renaissance Woman.

The mayor of San Quirico d’Orcia, a town in the Tuscan countryside, announced, “We are the Italy that Jennifer Lopez is looking for. We are a small but beautiful town surrounded by endless olive groves and a landscape recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage area.” Mayor Bartoli didn’t forget to mention that “we have great bakeries that produce wonderful bread.”

Cagliari’s mayor, Paolo Truzzu, tossed his beloved town into the running as well. “Dear Jennifer, come and live with us in Cagliari” to enjoy “good things to eat, a slow rhythm of life, contact with nature and a lovely climate,” he said. The residents of some of these towns have reached out to Lopez to second their mayor’s invitation. “Hey @JLo! Did you receive the invitation from Cagliari’s mayor Paolo Truzzu to come to live here? He’s available to host you. Let us know!” one Cagliari resident tweeted at J.Lo. JLo, come to live in Italy there are many beautiful villages!! come on the Amalfi Coast or in Cilento,  I recommend also San Valentino Torio the land of lovers, 20 min from  Pompei,” another Italian Twitter user informed the superstar.

Lopez also emphasized the importance of hiring female directors.

Vanity Fair aptly acknowledged that Lopez had mostly been directed by men, but that she has an exclusively female line-up of directors for her future projects under her own production. “It’s about breaking the mold of what people are used to,” Lopez added, saying, “There are so many great female directors; why aren’t we using them more? It’s hard to break patterns, even in yourself, so we have to make a conscious effort to change the paradigm.” The 2020 Oscars snubbed all women when they only nominated male directors during a time when there are more female directors than ever before.

“It’s also a great time for Latina women to take the stage at the biggest all-American event,” Lopez said of her upcoming Superbowl Halftime show with Shakira, emphasizing its importance “with everything that’s going on in the country right now.” Lopez added, “I’m super-happy to represent my community, to represent women, and to represent everybody, you know? “

It’s 2020 and face tattoos are the new normal. While the distinguishing ink has a rich history that traces all of the ways back to Ancient Greece and China, today’s tattoo du jour is notably born from some mutual understanding that subversive acts like a spiderweb tatt on your elbow or bleaching your heard are no longer enough.

Amber Rose

The mother of two has said she truly took the death of Kobe Bryant to heart and was inspired to tattoo her children’s names on her forehead.

When Cindy Crawford’s son and model Presley Gerber tattooed the lower part of his eye fans were shocked. Mostly because as it turns out, no matter how much they liked him they were “misunderstood” about him. The young model’s choice to tattoo the word on his face was baffling decision.

Post Malone

Post Malone might just be the reason why face tattoos took flight this year. The American rapper has a number of face tattoos including the words “Stay Away” on his forehead, and “always tired” under both of his eyes.

Aaron Carter

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight in a recent interview, the pop star explained that his face tattoo was done in honor of his career. According to Carter his tattoo is an image of Greek monster Medusa who Carter sees as his protector.

Justin Bieber

Yep, the once cleaned up teen hearthrob also has face ink. Though his are a bit more discreet Bieber does have a small cross under his left eye and the word “grace” above his right eyebrow.

Halsey also has a small tattoo that is very difficult to recognize. It’s very discreet and hard to spot. Her face tattoo is made up of a red diamond with a “Q” above it. It’s just in front of one of her ears.

These are just some of your favorite stars who have face tattoos that mean something very important to them. They’re very unique and it is one of their ways of expressing themselves.

The Story Behind ‘To All the Boys’ Star Noah Centineo’s Scar On His Face

Netflix

Since it was announced that Netflix would grace fans of the wildly successful To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before with a sequel, we’ve all waited with bated breath. Now the second part of our beloved film is finally here and once again Peter Kavinsky is back on our tv screens.

Speaking Peter Kavinzky and his beautiful face…

The man behind the high school jock, Noah Centineo, has sparked conversations online once again about the scar on his face. Fans of the teen romantic comedy series, have begun to dig into the origins of the tragically beautiful scar that marks the side of his mouth and after some sleuthing, we’ve discovered the truth behind the scar.

Speaking to Buzzfeed in a 2018 interview that profiled the original “To All The Boys I Loved Before” Centineo (who has been described as having Puerto Rican ancestry, explained that he got his famous scar when he was a child. “I got attacked when I was six years old by a Mastiff,” he explained. “He ripped a hole in my face, so you could see my teeth, my gums, and all the way through my tongue to the other side. There was a massive, gaping hole.”

Centineo went onto emphasize his belief that the dog didn’t totally understand what had happened. “I specifically remember him lunging, being pulled away from him, and then looking back and seeing him cock his head like he didn’t really understand what happened. Some people were like, ‘Do you wanna put the dog down’ I was crying, like, ‘No, he didn’t mean to do it!'”

In response to Centineo’s story, Brandi Hunter, Vice President, Public Relations and Communications for the American Kennel Club explained to Teen Vogue that Mastiffs are typically a more relaxed and gentle breed of dog. “Mastiffs are one of the most laidback breeds,” she shared. “They are protective, but they’re a very sweet breed.” Hunter also explained that some dogs became dangerous when an interaction between humans can go wrong. She went onto explain to Teen Vogue that when it comes to interacting with any dog, it’s always best to ensure that a dog feels safe and not threatened by allowing the dog to approach and sniff you first.
