Cardi B is hopping on the TikTok trend train. Recently, a new TikTok trend called the “Silhouette Challenge” went viral in which users dance sexily to “Put Your Head On My Shoulder” by Paul Anka and “Streets” by Doja Cat while emphasizing their body’s silhouette with a red Snapchat filter.

Never one to be behind the times, Cardi recently joined in on the Silhouette Challenge, but one-upped the entire internet by showing off her pole-dancing skills.

At the start of the video, Cardi enters the frame as her usual playful self, dressed in a robe with her hair in pin curls, “Put Your Head on My Shoulder” playing in the background. She makes a funny face at the camera before making her way to the pole in the middle of the room (side note–who knew Cardi B had a stripper pole installed in her house? We didn’t).

The video then transitions to the sexy song “Streets” by Doja Cat, and the filter changes to the requisite “Vin Rouge” filter. We’re then blessed with seeing Cardi spinning and dancing on the stripper pole–a site that we didn’t know that we needed.

Fans immediately went crazy over Cardi’s interpretation of the silhouette challenge, writing comments like: “ITS OVER YALL SHE WON AND OWNS THIS TREND” and “Cardi went back to her old days”.

Needless to say, the challenge makes you look hot–a department that, let’s be honest, Cardi has never struggled with.

Cardi has always been open about her past history as a stripper and is a pro at pole dancing–an artform that is not as easy as it looks (as JLo will tell you).

“Would people feel some type of way if I was a cashier-turned-rapper?” she said in a 2017 interview with The Guardian about her past life.

“People want me to be so full of shame that I used to dance. I would never be ashamed of it. I made a lot of money, I had a good time and it showed me a lot – it made me open my eyes about how people are, how men are, about hunger and passion and ambition.”

Cardi has also been outspoken about how being a sexual being and being a good mother aren’t mutually exclusive.

When she was criticized for being “hypocritical” for turning off “WAP” when her daughter came into the room, she defended herself from the haters.

“Ya needs to stop with this already!” she wrote on Twitter. “I’m not Jojo Siwa! I don’t make music for kids, I make music for adults. Parents are responsible on what their children listen to or see. I’m a very sexual person but not around my child, just like every other parent should be.”

Romeo Santos Streaming Historic MetLife Stadium Concert Next Month

ERNIEL RODRIGUEZ

For those who missed Romeo Santos’s historic MetLife Stadium concert in 2019, the king of bachata is going to release the show to streaming next month. The former Aventura frontman will also release a documentary on his meteoric rise.

Romeo Santos broke many records for his MetLife Stadium concert in 2019.

Starting with the announcement of his MetLife Stadium concert, Santos broke record after record. First, he became the first Latin artist to headline the massive New Jersey Stadium. After tickets went on sale, Santos became the first Latin artist to sell out the venue.  When the concert kicked off on Sept. 21, he then broke the record for the highest-grossing show in the stadium’s history. Before Romeo, the top-grossing record belonged to the Irish band U2.

Aventura and Cardi B joined Romeo Santos during that show.

Santos’ MetLife Stadium concert was not only historic for the records. The concert was also major for his reunion with Aventura. The guys came back together to perform “Inmortal” live from Santos’ Utopía album. That night Cardi B also joined Aventura to perform the band’s classic “Obsesión.”

Fans can see the MetLife Stadium show and a Romeo Santos documentary next month.

Santos is teaming up with Sony Music Latin, Endeavor Streaming, and iNDemand to release Romeo Santos: Utopía Live from MetLife Stadium on June 25. On the same night, Santos will also release his documentary Romeo Santos: The King of Bachata. Fans can buy their tickets to both pay-per-view events on his official website.

“These films have been such a special project for me and I’m honored and eager to show it to the world and pull back the curtain on the history of bachata,” Santos said in a statement. “For the film to showcase my upbringing and build up to my performance at MetLife Stadium, it gives me the opportunity to relieve one of the most incredible nights of my life while also bringing it inside the homes of my fans across the world.”

Guests appearing in the films include Daddy Yankee, Emilio Estefan, Marc Anthony, Tommy Mottola, and Thalía. It’s because of that iconic MetLife Stadium show that Santos is nominated for Latin Touring Artist of the Decade at this year’s Pollstar Awards.

Meet ‘Padre Cheke,’ The Mexican Priest Combining Religion And Tech On TikTok

Padre Cheke / Instagram

A Mexican priest has turned to social media to meet young people where they are – on TikTok. He’s using the popular social media app to help “bring young people closer to God” and him becoming an actual influencer in the process is just a coincidence. But a very successful one at that.

Known as Padre Cheke, the priest from Puebla already has nearly one million followers on TikTok and has gained millions of likes on his videos. So just what does a Catholic priest upload to TikTok?

Padre Cheke is a massive hit on TikTok for uploading religious content.

Ezequiel Padilla is “Padre Cheke,” a Catholic priest and rector of the Chapel of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and San Cayetano in Puebla. He is also a new star of TikTok. He currently has almost 700,000 followers and 3.2 million likes on his platform.

Padre Cheke has become famous for using TikTok trends and using them to give religious messages to his followers and anyone who comes across his videos.

With the onset of the pandemic and confinement, Father Cheke decided to implement new strategies to keep people from turning away from religion. After returning to Mexico following a formation meeting in Italy, the priest became interested in this platform.  “In those days was that I downloaded the application, because I saw some stories on social networks and from there I started to make TikToks. I did not know how but little by little I was learning,” said the TikToker.

At 48 years old, the priest pointed out that when he noticed that one of his videos went viral and went from 60 followers to 10,000 followers in a very short time, he understood the power of social media.

Ezequiel feels that religion is not at odds with daily life and he uses TikTok to share that message.

Father Cheke does it all for TikTok. He dances, sings and interprets his videos with a lot of ease. He also lip synchs to dubbed videos, follows trendy choreography and viral songs, sometimes alone and sometimes with members of his congregation.

I mean who wouldn’t love a padre doing TikTok?!

Due to the great impact of social media, he has become a viral character and even has his own hashtag,#ChekeTokers, which has already been and will probably continue to trend throughout Mexico and, if he has his way, around the world.
