A Trump Supporter Tried To Come For Cardi B After She Said She Wants To Be A Politician And Failed

The 27-year-old queen of rap, Cardi B, announced to her Twitter followers Sunday that she’s thinking about becoming a politician. “I think I want to be a politician,” the rapper tweeted, adding, “I really love government even tho I don’t agree with Goverment.” Since then, the rapper has expanded on what she’s thinking she’ll do next to make those dreams come true, including returning to school. Since announcing her interest, Cardi B’s already started expanding on the issues that matter to her. She wants to represent the vast majority of Americans who don’t want war. Cardi B wants gun screening to look more like screening to join the military. Cardi B says she believes “we have the right to bear arms,” but she also believes in raising the minimum age limit to own a gun, requiring “mental check-ups” and “proper training” to screen for gun owners.

Of course, Trump supporters have come to drag Cardi B, using coded language to attack her intelligence, education and slut-shame her. Good thing Cardi B is self-secure enough to combat classism.

First, Cardi B says she wants to go back to school “a couple of years” to “shake the table.”

“I deadass have sooo much ideas that make sense,” Cardi suggested, saying, “I just need a couple of years of school and I can shake the table.” A few minutes later, Cardi B recalled all the war documentaries she’s been watching lately. “No matter how many weapons a country have you need people! How are you trying to go against a country and possibly start a war when this country lacks patriotism? I barely see people claiming they LOVE being American,” she tweeted.

Trump supporter and internet personality Mindy Robinson decided to try Cardi B.

You’re going to need more school than that.  ????????,” Robinson tweeted, along with a proofread version of Cardi B’s tweet and the subversive white supremacy symbol. “Your spaces are off too…but hey, how can we hold you accountable for kindergarten level sh*t, am I right?” Robinson asked of Cardi B.

Cardi took the bait and clapped back with a warning: “don’t want to dog walk you ❤️”

“Sis your lips ashy and you barely have none …Leave me alone,” Cardi responded to the MAGA right’s internet poster child. “I didn’t insulted your party or your believes so please don’t try me and let’s keep sweet OK….don’t want to dog walk you  ❤️,” Cardi added. Of course, Robinson soaked up the attention and responded to essentially assert classism. “I went to college for both American History and Political Science,” Robinson tweeted, adding, “although to be fair…even my cat is more qualified to run for Congress than Cardi B. ????????”

Robinson concluded her tweet once again with the controversial “????????” emoji, which was initially used by a small set of white supremacists who thought the hand gesture symbolized the “w” and “p” in “white power.” It’s since grown into an internet sensation for the right as a way to “troll” liberals. The “????????” is so ubiquitous that it’s easy for someone who uses it maliciously to just say they’re making an “okay” symbol. From MAGA far-right supporters, it’s become a well-protected microaggression to people of color.

In response, Cardi followed through on her word and dog walked the mierda out of Robinson.

“You really mad cause you stay takin pics like this and mention Trump 20 times a day to get his attention,” Cardi B tweeted back along with a photo of Robinson in an American flag bikini. “HEY! Don’t take your anger out on me cause he don’t wanna fuck you sis  ????????‍♀️ ????????,” Cardi B added. The MAGA-supporting right has been consistent in retweeting photos of Cardi B stripping or wearing bathing suits along with captions like, “she and ole AOC can compare how their cup size is inversely proportionate to their IQs.” A “Women for Trump” account with over 5,000 followers shared the news along with calling the rapper “Low IQ Cardi B.” We don’t even need to explain why “low IQ” is a racist dog whistle.

“Cardi B for Congress” has started a conversation on classism and has already generated campaign banners.

The irony of suggesting someone couldn’t be a member of congress because of their grammar despite the fact that the president you so vehemently support uses nothing higher than 3rd-grade level diction ????????‍♂️grammatical skills ≠ intelligence,” another supporter tweeted at Robinson and Cardi. “Let me tell you something cause every time I post anything political I get attack all type of crazy,” Cardi later tweeted. “If you are a conservative & if you support a opposite party that’s OK( unless you racist)we can get into friendly debates on here voice your opinion… And I’ll voice mines HOWEVER don’t try me and don’t take my kindness for weakness.I BE VIOLATING!!! I don’t really like being on that type of time. We grown! Let’s be grown. Lets teach and learn.”

In conclusion, in the words of another Twitter user, “If Donald Trump is the president of the United States right now I don’t see why Cardi B can’t be a politician.”

Tiger King’s Carole Baskin Just Shaded Cardi B For Using ‘Big Cat Pimps’ For ‘WAP’ Video —”people won’t even see the cats because it is so sexually explicit”

WMG

Just about everyone has something to say about Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s steamy “WAP” music video. The project, which dropped last week, has gained all kinds of attention and feelings. From thoughts about Kylie Jenner’s appearance to viewpoints on the outfits, just about everyone has drawn their own conclusions about “WAP”. We just weren’t expecting “Tiger King” star Carole Baskin to be one of them.

That’s right Tiger King’s Carole Baskin has seen “WAP” and the big-cat rights activist and CEO of Big Cat Rescue ain’t happy.

When it comes to the trending music video, you can color Baskin unimpressed.

The video, which features cameos from Kylie Jenner, Normani, Rubi Rose, Sukihana, Rosalía, and Mulatto, has a big cat and a few snakes to boot.

“My guess is that most people won’t even see the photoshopped cats in the scenes because the rest of it is so sexually explicit,” Baskin said of the video in a statement to Entertainment Weekly. “I was happy to see that it does appear to all be photoshopped. It didn’t look like the cats were really in the rooms with the singers.”

Despite this, Baskin says she’s not happy with Cardi or Megan’s decision to feature wild animals.

WMG

A big cat is featured in the “WAP” music video alongside Kylie Jenner as she walks down a long hallway and notices it watching her from behind an open door.

“That being said, you have to pose a wildcat in front of a green screen to get that image and that doesn’t happen in the wild,” Baskin explained. “It can happen in sanctuaries like ours where cats have plenty of room to avoid a green screen (or would shred it if offered access and could die from ingesting it).”

Baskin went onto point out that they “probably dealt with one of the big cat pimps, probably even one of the ones shown in Tiger King, Murder, Mayhem and Madness, who make a living from beating, shocking and starving cats to make them stand on cue in front of a green screen in a studio. That’s never good for the cat.”

But Baskin says her big concern is that the WAP video will encourage other artists to use big cats in their own work.

Netflix

“That makes every follower of these artists, who doesn’t know better, want to imitate by doing the same,” she continued. “After tigers are too old for pay to play sessions by people like Joe Exotic, Bhagavan ‘Doc’ Antle, Marc McCarthy, Mario Tabraue and others, they become a liability instead of an asset.”

“While I think most [big cats] are destroyed behind closed gates at that point, some end up being given away to people who want to have a tiger to show off,” she added. “That never works out and the cats either die or end up dumped in sanctuaries or worse yet, breeding mills. There have been some accounts of tigers just being turned loose on communities when they no longer served as ego props. No matter how you cut it, it’s always abusive to the cat and dangerous to the public.”

Speaking about her decision to feature other artists and women in “WAP” Cardi told New Music Daily on Apple Music that she was eager to show that women can support other women.

“I feel like people be wanting to put female artists against each other. … You know what I’m saying?” Cardi explained. “Every single time I feel like there’s a female artist that’s coming up … I always see like little slick comments like, ‘Oh, they taking over your spot. They taking over this. They taking over that.’ And it just makes me feel like, damn, why it had to be like that? Because I actually like shorty music a lot. Why does it even have to be like that?”

Sheriff Joe Has Lost His Race To Get Back His Old Job But How Was He Able To Run At All?

Things That Matter

America’s ‘toughest sheriff’ and blatantly racist law enforcement officials has been defeated in race for sheriff. But what’s shocking is just how close the race was for a man who was arrested and convicted of racially profiling Latinos only to then be pardoned by Trump.

And it appeared that Arpaio had zero remorse for his controversial and damaging policies. In the run up to the election, he vowed to continue his controversial policing tactics with policies that included housing county jail inmates in tents and regular immigration sweeps.

Running to get back his old job, Joe Arpaio has lost his primary bid for Maricopa County Sheriff.

America’s self-confessed “toughest sheriff”, Joe Arpaio, was narrowly defeated in his bid to win back the sheriff’s post in metro Phoenix that he held for 24 years before being voted out in 2016 amid voter frustrations over his taxpayer-funded legal bills, blatant racism, his penchant for self-promotion and a defiant streak that led to his now-pardoned criminal conviction.

In the latest count from Tuesday’s primary, announced on Friday, Arpaio lost the primary to his long time aide, Jerry Sheridan. Mr. Sheridan had secured about 37 percent of the vote in a three-way race, compared to Mr. Arpaio’s 36 percent — a difference of 6,280 votes out of more than 420,000 cast, with only 2,385 ballots remaining to be counted.

For Mr. Arpaio, 88, the loss on Tuesday was his third electoral defeat in four years. After losing his 2016 re-election bid, he suffered a resounding loss in a three-way Republican primary for a U.S. Senate seat in 2018.

Mr. Arpaio said in an interview on Friday that this year’s race was his last run for public office, adding that his age and record as sheriff were working against him.

“They were tired of me and tired of my office,” he said.

So who is the Republican who won the primary?

Voters instead backed Jerry Sheridan, Arpaio’s former chief deputy, who promised to revive many of the sheriff’s racist and anti-immigrant policies but without the showmanship.

Mr. Sheridan was found guilty of civil contempt of court and a judge referred him for criminal contempt charges, though prosecutors later said the statute of limitations prevented them from bringing charges. A related complaint with the state board that certifies police officers languished until Mr. Sheridan’s certification expired this year.

In November’s general election, Sheridan will face current Sheriff Paul Penzone, the Democrat who beat Arpaio four years ago. And most political observers say Penzone is the favorite in the general election.

His campaign put out a statement after Arpaio’s defeat.

“With the primary race for Maricopa County Sheriff officially concluding tonight, Arizona Democrats reaffirm our commitment to protecting the Latino community from the likes of Joe Arpaio’s former number two, Jerry Sheridan, who was found in contempt of court and will double down on Arpaio’s disturbing legacy that embarrassed our state and cost taxpayers millions of dollars,” said Matt Grodsky, spokesman for the Arizona Democratic Party.

“Arizona’s largest county is better off under the leadership of Sheriff Penzone, a leader with a legacy of accountability, committed to building community trust,” he added. “We know voters will stick with him this November.”

Arpaio rose to national prominence thanks to his blatantly racist, anti-immigrant, and illegal policies as ‘America’s toughest sheriff.’ During his tenure, he housed inmates in tents, forced them to wear pink underwear and brought back chain gangs. His department conducted sweeps of undocumented immigrants in Hispanic communities and detained Spanish-speakers under suspicion of being in the country irregularly.

Then in 2011, Arpaio was convicted of deliberately violating an injunction halting his practice of detaining migrants who are not suspected of having committed a state crime. Only federal officers have jurisdiction over immigration. He faced six months in jail but was benefited by President Donald Trump’s first presidential pardon.

This year’s primary by Arpaio exploited racial tensions and pushed a tough-on-crime message amid a nationwide movement to stop police abuses against people of color. His rebuke from Republican voters could be an ominous sign for the president, who is trailing Biden in the polls in Arizona.

Arpaio is a close ally of Trump’s and was one of his first supporters in 2015, and his fall from grace mirrors the struggle that the president faces among suburban Republican voters in Arizona, a traditionally conservative state that is seen as up for grabs in this year’s presidential election.
