Pedro Pascal is quickly becoming one of the strongest and most unapologetic defenders of the trans community. This is no surprise, as he has been one of the most supportive brothers for his trans sister, Lux Pascal. He made a beautiful post celebrating her coming out and has been a fiercely public ally for the trans community since then. He is also taking the fight to his social media.

Pedro Pascal has zero time for transphobic people, and it’s wonderful

Pedro, the star of everyone’s dreams, isn’t backing down from his acceptance and love of the trans community. In a recent Instagram post, the actor posted a photo of a sign. The sign reads, “A world without trans people has never existed and never will.” The slogan has become a rallying cry during the second term of President Donald Trump.

He commented on his post, saying: “I can’t think of anything more vile and small and pathetic than terrorizing the smallest, most vulnerable community of people who want nothing from you except the right to exist.”

Pedro is taking a stand for people like his sister Lux, who have been targets of federal policy. The Trump administration has focused on the trans community since before the inauguration, and the attacks are unending. It takes allies like Pedro to stand up and start calling attention to marginalized communities under fire.

Pedro’s Instagram post uplifting trans people ruffled a lot of feathers

The post received comments both celebrating the actor’s position and others denouncing the message. In true social media fashion, several of those offended made it a point to say that they were unfollowing. Just a friendly reminder that you don’t have to announce when you are unfollowing someone. It just feels like you’re chasing clout.

It is how Pedro handled the trolls that really makes him shine. He responded directly to the people commenting in opposition to his stance and didn’t hold back. Any time someone commented that they were leaving his page, he personally wished them a farewell.

His responses oscillated between pure childish humor and righteous disdain. He simply uses kissing emojis to wish the poster well in some responses. In one, he reminds the poster that he “doesn’t give a shit.”

People assuming they could bully the protective brother of Lux is just unhinged behavior

Pedro has been overwhelmingly and unapologetically supportive of his sister Lux when she came out as trans in 2021. He took to social media to celebrate her bravery in coming out. So, this does beg the question of what people think would happen when they show anti-trans sentiment towards Pedro.

The trans community is the current target of vitriolic behavior from right-wing politicians and supporters. The Trump administration has drafted and implemented multiple executive orders directly attacking the trans community. Actions have included changing gender markers on government IDs back to genders at birth, banning trans women from participating in sports in federally funded schools, and the federal government only recognizing two genders.
