Rauw Alejandro has broken his fans’ hearts for the third time. The Puerto Rican singer announced the cancellation of his concert at the Acrisure Arena due to a serious injury.

The first time El Zorro left his fans in the Coachella Valley wanting was on the second weekend of the famous Coachella Festival. They hoped for a redo of the first one, when the multitalented Puerto Rican star performed with his fiancé Rosalía, one of the headliners. Unfortunately, he had a show scheduled somewhere else and couldn’t go.

Now, Rauw Alejandro has fans even more concerned

As the singer announced on social media, a previous injury to his left groin seems to have worsened.

“Well, my Palms people, I apologize for being unable to perform tonight,” he wrote on Twitter. “I have been carrying a left groin injury for a month now, and after every show, I have had medical care so as not to let you guys down and continue with the tour.”

For its part, the venue announced that the singer did everything possible to make the concert happen.

“Though Rauw insisted on continuing the show, doctors ordered him to take time to rest and recover to avoid exacerbating the injury and risking further concert delays in the coming months,” Acrisure Arena officials said in a statement.

“El Zorro is, of course, devastated to miss this opportunity to connect with his fans, who have been undying in their support of him with the release of `Saturno’ and the subsequent Saturno World Tour,” arena officials said. “He promises to make up the date and deliver the performance fans deserve when he is back in physical shape.”

A break to keep going strong

Mitú contacted Rauw Alejandro’s team, who assured us that he just needs to rest and plans to keep the rest of his dates. He is scheduled to sing in Portland and Seattle, on May 5th and 6th, before going to Mexico.

The groin injury is Rauw’s second health issue during the tour.

During a sold-out concert at the Gas South Arena in Duluth, Georgia, he did a somersault in the air and fell on his right shoulder. As the professional he is, El Zorro kept playing and dancing.

Hours later, he wrote on his Instagram: “My shoulder popped out of place, but we finished the show. I love you, Atlanta, thanks for breaking it tonight with me,” while sharing a selfie from his hospital room.

Rauw kept his following dates on his tour, protecting his shoulder with sports tape. Let’s hope he can finish the rest of the shows in good health.
