Gerardo Ortiz & Piso 21 – “Fino Licor”

Gerardo Ortiz is giving regional Mexican music a new spin with his single “Fino Licor.” And for this he’s teamed up with Colombian pop group, Piso 21. And this isn’t their first rodeo, the bands previously collaborated with Christian Nodal on the global hit “Pa’ Olvidarme De Ella.” Piso 21 gives Ortiz’s corrido a Latin trap twist. Both acts commiserate over exes that have done them wrong — something many of us can relate to. They give equally passionate performances about drowning out those memories with alcohol. Ortiz and Piso 21 are the dream duo that we didn’t know we needed. – Lucas Villa, Contributor

Feid – “VACAXIONES”

Ask, and you shall receive. The strategy from Feid’s fans for months on TikTok, Instagram and Twitter was to bombard the Colombian singer with comments to release “VACAXIONES” and El Ferxxo did not disappoint. The final version of the song was produced by Noize, who added an obscure and upbeat introduction which then transitions into the song that fans know and love. – Luciana Villalba, Executive Director, Crema

Lauren Jauregui – “Prelude” EP

Former Fifth Harmony member Lauren Jauregui released her debut EP “Prelude.” It’s also her first release as an independent artist, so she’s wearing her heart on her sleeve. Jauregui opens up about her struggles with mental health in songs like “Scattered” with Vic Mensa and “Falling” that was produced by Timbaland. This personal and powerful EP is a prelude to Jauregui’s first album that’s due out next year. – Lucas Villa

Bruno Mars, Anderson .Paak, Silk Sonic – “Smokin Out the Window”

The vibes are immaculate in this song. “Smokin Out the Window” by Bruno Mars, Anderson .Paak and Silk Sonic is bringing the 80s groove back, and the trio’s undeniable chemistry in creating pop hits that are timeless. November 12 can’t come soon enough for us to fully immerse into the Silk Sonic world. – Luciana Villalba

Chesca – “Tu Weekend”

Chesca is not stopping anytime soon. The Puerto Rican singer is back with “Tu Weekend” produced and composed by Panamanian hit producer Dimelo Flow. The music video is a 2021 version of Grease of sorts, featuring Chesca and influencer Tayler Holder as leads. Micro TDH & Pablo Alborán – “El Lobby”

Venezuelan artist Micro TDH shows a vulnerable side to his music with his new single “El Lobby.” He teamed up with Spanish singer-songwriter Pablo Alborán. Via the gentle strumming of an electric guitar, Micro TDH and Alborán trade verses about a hotel romance that lingers on their minds. It’s a beautiful love song that’s powered by two heartfelt performances. – Lucas Villa

Akim – “TUSI”

Panamanian singer-songwriter Akim is giving us a taste of his upcoming album “Haters y Fanáticos” through Farruko’s Carbon Fiber Music label with his new single, “TUSI.” After the release of “DIME” with label mate, Milly, Akim enlists producer Rike Music for a romantic dancehall and R&B fusion so catchy that you’ll be saying “tú sí, tú sí” all day. – Luciana Villalba

Sinego, Laguna & Marrón – “Huellas”

Colombian DJ Sinego regrouped with Laguna for “Huellas.” The two previously collaborated last year with the song “Lost Time.” Now they’re tackling the classic song “Huellas” by Chilean rock star, Joe Vasconcellos. The duo puts a tropical house spin on the beloved track that’s re-imagined with vocals by Mexican singer, Marrón. Sinego has a gift for giving timeless sounds a refreshing spin. – Lucas Villa

Ankhal, Jhay Cortez – “Holy Shit Remix”

San Juan’s number 1 song at the moment is a trap-meets-drill, or as Ankhal calls it “Drillyakeo,” which holds the essence of drill and the underground vibe Ankhal brings to the table that reggaeton was missing. The Carbon Fiber Music signee is taking over Puerto Rico by storm with the remix of his single “Holy Shit” alongside Jhay Cortez. Ankhal is sure to be the next rising talent without a doubt, seeing that he already has a Bad Bunny cosign under his belt, and we can’t wait to see what’s next for him. – Luciana Villalba

Georgel, Diamante Eléctrico & Marco Mares – “Supersad”

Mexican singer-songwriter Georgel is back with his new single “Supersad.” He teamed up with Colombian rock group Diamante Eléctrico and fellow Mexican artist Marco Mares. Georgel is known for his Latin R&B grooves and channels that into this angst-driven kiss-off anthem. Diamante Eléctrico and Mares give the collaboration an alternative edge. “Supersad” is the latest single from Georgel’s “Oscuro” EP. – Lucas Villa
