Chrissy Teigen’s Photos Of Her Breast Implant Removal Scars Are Pretty Dang Brave
It is a truth universally acknowledged, that when Chrissy Teigen decides to be forthright she does so without shame.
When it comes to her role in ensuring body positivity, this truth goes double. In recent months the actress has made the decision to be vocal about her choice to have her breast implants removed. She’s been open about the process, sharing her experiences with pain and healing. Recently, she even shared her daughter Luna’s reaction. “Have fun pulling your boobies out,” she wrote in a message to her mother just before her surgery.
Teigen has continued to show off pictures of herself on her social media platforms proving that despite the process she is not only doing amazing she also looks it! The stellar images have caused some to doubt whether she actually followed through with the removal of her implants in the first place.
To set the record straight, Teigen shared images of her scars while wearing a yellow bikini.
To confirm her surgery, Teigen took to Instagram on Sunday to show the scars now located on the bottom of her breasts. The fresh scars run vertically down each of them making it pretty dang clear the surgery actually happened.
“A few of my friends keep having to tell people that I really got my implants out, ’cause no one believes it,” Teigen explained in an interview. “These are the scars.” She followed up the photo with images of herself in an operating room that had been taken just after the procedure. “Trust me lol,” she wrote over the image.
The model announced her plans to have her implants removed earlier this year back in May.
“I’m getting my boobs out! They’ve been great to me for many years but I’m just over it,” she wrote in an Instagram post. “I’d like to be able to zip a dress in my size, lay on my belly with pure comfort! No biggie! So don’t worry about me! All good. I’ll still have boobs, they’ll just be pure fat. Which is all a tit is in the first place. A dumb, miraculous bag of fat.”
