The Lincoln Project Is A Conservative Organization Trying To Get Donald Trump Out Of Office

As 2020 drags on, the campaign for the U.S. presidency is still going. President Donald Trump is hoping for another term though polling shows him far behind Joe Biden as the months go on. One Republican organization is pushing for President Trump to lose the election. The organization is called The Lincoln Project.

Republican organization The Lincoln Project is going after President Donald Trump.

A group of Republicans, Kellyanne Conway’s husband among them, have joined forces to go after President Trump in the 2020 election. The organization is using Trump’s own actions and words to create ads to criticize his actions. One ad goes after his willingness to downplay the severity of COVID-19 leading to thousands of preventable deaths.

“We are Republican, and we want Trump defeated,” reads the website.

Some people on social media have compared The Lincoln Project’s videos to President Trump’s own energy when he attacks opponents. Supporters of The Lincoln Project, according to YouTube comments, appreciate the organization’s willingness to go low when Trump goes low.

They have attached his legacy to the argument over the Confederate flag.

The ad calls out the history of the Confederate flag and what it represents: treason. The flag was flown by people trying to destroy the U.S. and leave the nation. The Lincoln Project asks why Trump would support a flag flown by losers and treasonous people, especially since it is often seen in his rallies. The wide use of the Confederate flag at Trump rallies is not only attaching Trump to that legacy, but also the Republican Party.

The organization is really not holding anything back.

The economy, rapid unemployment, and a bungled response to COVID-19 are all anchors The Lincoln Project is putting on the Trump campaign. The president is in trouble in the polls with Biden leading in several reputable polls. Even notoriously conservative polls have placed Trump behind Biden in the race for the White House.

COVID-19 is spiking across the U.S. with 32 states watching as new cases of the virus continue to climb day after day. California, Arizona, Texas, and Florida are among states that have set daily new infection records. With this backdrop, a federal judge has ruled that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) must release children, with their parents, by July 17.

A judge ordered Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to release children in detention by a certain date.

U.S. Judge Dolly Gee ordered ICE to act quickly in response to the rampant COVID-19 spread in detention centers to protect the health of migrants. Judge Gee is giving ICE until July 17 to comply and release all children that have been in the agency’s custody.

U.S. Judge Gee ruled that the threat of the pandemic is great where the children are being held.

“Given the severity of the outbreak in the counties in which FRCs are located and the Independent Monitor and Dr. Wise’s observations of non-compliance or spotty compliance with masking and social distancing rules, renewed and more vigorous efforts must be undertaken to transfer (children) residing at the FRCs to non-congregate settings,” Judge Gee wrote in her order.

Concerned politicians and public figures are celebrating the judge’s order.

The order is aimed specifically at the Family Residential Centers (FRCs) and Office of Refugee Resettlement camps across the country. The virus has been running rampant in detention centers and prisons and, according to the judge, unsurprisingly the virus has made it to the FRCs.

She continued: “The FRCs are ‘on fire’ and there is no more time for half measures.”

National leaders are calling on ICE to follow the ruling by a federal judge.

The judge’s order is aimed at the three FRCs in the U.S. Two are in Texas and one is in Pennsylvania. Unaccompanied minors in various shelters are also included in the order.

“Although progress has been made, the Court is not surprised that [COVID-19] has arrived at both the [Family Residential Centers] and [Office of Refugee Resettlement] facilities, as health professionals have warned all along,” Judge Gee wrote.

This story is developing and we will update as new information arises.

When it comes to Kelly Anne Conway, it turns out her apples are falling far from the tree.

That’s right, Kellyanne Conway counselor to President Donald Trump, the
“alternative facts” spin doctor, and Republican nutcracker, has a liberal daughter. Claudia Conway is the teenage daughter of the controversial Republican and it turns out that while her mother very well may be a fan of the extremely problematic president with White nationalist ties, she is an ardent Trump critic.

Recently videos and posts shared from Claudia’s TikTok and Instagram posts revealed at least one out of four of Conway’s children isn’t a fan of her mother’s political party.

New York Times reporter Taylor Lorenz thrust Claudia into the spotlight earlier this week when she shared a string of videos taken and posed by the teenager which feature her ribbing Trump supporters for their politics. In several posts, Claudia encouraged TikTok followers, which the Times has said clocks in at 16,000, to leave one-star reviews of the president’s businesses. She has also used her pages to make fun of the difficulty of having political opinions different from that of her politically polarized parents.

“Believe it or not you can have your own opinions simply by educating yourself,” Claudia said in one video.

In another TikTok post, Claudia wrote “why do people hate on trump supporters… like why can’t we just respect everyone’s opinions? SIKE nah block me pls and then educate yourself.”

Note: Ivanka Trump DOES follow Claudia on Instagram which means this teen has some cajones.

Claudia has also expressed support for Black Lives Matter protests.

In the bio section of her TikTok account, Claudia writes, “it’s a great day to arrest brett hankison, john mattingly, and myles cosgrove.” The post is a reference to the death of Breonna Taylor who was shot and killed by Louisville, Kentucky police in her own home. According to The Washington Post, Taylor’s family has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the officers. As of today, only Brett Hankison has been fired from the Louisville Metro Police.

Claudia isn’t the first Conway with liberals to cause some trouble for Kellyanne.

Conway’s husband George Conway, whom she married in April 2001, has been vocal about his negative opinions of Donald Trump. Throughout Trump’s presidency, Conway has questioned the president’s mental health, judgment, and intelligence. He has also drawn criticism from the president directly.

In 2019, Trump tweeted about Conway’s marriage to George Conway writing “George Conway, often referred to as Mr. Kellyanne Conway by those who know him, is VERY jealous of his wife’s success & angry that I, with her help, didn’t give him the job he so desperately wanted. I barely know him but just take a look, a stone cold LOSER & husband from hell!”

In a comment to Claudia’s recent post about having different opinions than your parents, one follower wrote “Hello sis welcome to the left,” to which Claudia replied. “Hehe I’ve been here girly.”
