Gallegos has been yo-yoing since she was 12 years old, according to her own words in “We Are The Champions.” The Netflix original series follows people in sporting events that are region-specific or off of everyone’s radars. Gallegos is a rising star on the international yo-yo stage.

The yo-yoing superstar is a 2-time Women’s World champion and is the current Mexican national champion. In 2019, Gallegos was looking to make history as the first woman to compete in the 1A World Championship final. “We Are The Champions” followed Gallegos on her journey to Cleveland, Ohio to compete against the best.

Covid came in just to take away 2020. The year that so many said was going to be their year. The virus postponed this years World Yo-Yo Contest and Gallegos is ready to get back to the stage in 2021. The sky’s the limit and Gallegos is unapologetically reaching for her piece of it.
