1. Olaplex Hair Perfector No 3 Repairing Treatment

Translated: “In the hairdressing salon they spoke highly of this product but its price was high, so I did not take it with me. I found it on Amazon at a very good price and decided to buy it. I read some opinions that it could be false and it scared me a bit, to see if the remedy would be worse than the disease, as they say … I did a little research, I saw all the comparisons they made with the real one and with the fake. Today mine just arrived and it is the original: on the front label it says “take home”, on the back it comes with its QR code, on the base it is laser engraved (if it were false they would not have bothered to do so), It came with its protective plastic as it was new and its consistency is firm, it is not watery because it does not spread by hand. So I am very happy. As for how to use it, they told me to put it on before washing the hair or leave it to act at night, but always remove it. You have to moisten the hair, the amount to apply is a coin, mix with water and apply through the strands. A knot and wait a little while, the longer the better. Then shampoo, conditioner and / or mask and voila. Olaplex is a treatment, it should not be replaced by a conditioner or mask, it is a supplement. I hope it works for you.

2. Fortifying Protein Hair Mask and Deep Conditioner

Promising review: “This product actually does what it says. Instantly, you will feel the difference in your hair moments after you apply the product you will noticeably feel the protein binding to your strands. My fine hair had a good weight to it after the product was applied. I have never used a protein treatment where in, i could actually feel the weight of the protein binding to my strands. INCREDIBLE! After washing the product out of my hair, i noticed an immediate difference in my hair. Instantly, it reduced my shedding by around 90%. I normally use nexus emergency in my hair but decided to give this product a try based on consumer affairs product rating for BEST protein conditioner treatment. It was considered one of their top 5 protein treatment based on their testing. I am so happy i tried this product. I will trade in my $40 nexus emergency protein treatment for this product. I am african american with type four hair and after using this product, my fingers glided through my hair. I hardly had any shed hair. My hair was breaking so much from moisture overload and this product stopped my breakage by 90-95%. This is by far the best protein treatment i have ever used. Normally, i am protein sensitive but with this product, i had no issues of tangling or matting. I hope this review was helpful.- site review

3. Brazilian Blowout Acai Deep Conditioning Masque

4. Rejuvenating Hair Mask and Deep Conditioner

Promising review: “I’ve been using this product for about 6 months and am hooked. My hair is very long, color treated, and heat styled. This stuff is magic for keeping my hair healthy.
Here’s what I like: product is thick and fully saturates my hair. It is effective quickly – you can feel a difference after leaving it on just 7 minutes. For added penetration, I add a hot towel, wrapped around my head in the shower and leave it on 10-15 minutes. This is excellent for use after coloring and as a weekly deep conditioner. It is an economical, no frills product – you’re no paying extra for a name here. But it’s every bit as good as the stuff I used to get at the beauty supply store. I buy this on the subscribe and save program, which saves a bit more on cost. One jar lasts me one month – I use after color treatments (every 3 weeks) and as a weekly deep conditioner…. so that’s about 5-6 applications per jar for my very long hair. It would probably last 2 months if you have shoulder length hair, maybe even 3 if you have very short hair.
The scent is very neutral, which disappointed me at first, as I love the smell of good hair products. But this is probably a good thing for most people, as the scent won’t compete with your perfume or lotion.
Overall, I highly recommend this product.”- Amazon user

Translated: “This mask is really good, it has repaired my hair in an incredible way after a double bleaching process, for more than a year I was looking for a treatment for my hair that would restore its smoothness and shine and I tried many brands but none did anything good for my hair. From the first time I used this brand I was delighted because the results of hydration, protection, softness and shine were immediate, that’s why I did not change it and I have been using all the next Brazilian Blow-Out for 6 months … !! I really recommend”

5. Like A Virgin Hair Masque

Coco & Eve

Promising review: “I’ve been purchasing coco & eve since day one. Their hair mask is my life. I can’t take a shower without it. My hair smells AMAZING for days AND is the smoothest thing I’ve ever felt!!!! My favourite time to use the hair mask is after a long day at the beach.” – Coco&Eve reviewer

6. SheaMoisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil Reparative Leave-In Conditioner

Shea Moisturizer

“JESUS MADE THIS LEAVE IN CONDITIONER HIMSELF!!! I tried the curl enhancing smoothie back in college and that was honestly hyped up to me. I was disappointed. So I was turned off from shea moisture. I have 3c & 4b hair and tends to get dry so I find myself moisturizing too much or not at all because of school, work, sleep, boyfriend…. and LIFE. BUT when I saw the “JBCO” line I HAD to buy it. I started out with the leave in and was drooling the moment it touched my hair. It glided on my curls and did not leave a residue. My hair was so moisturized and soft and defined. SOOOO.. I wanted to test it with my baby, Cantu Coconut Curling Cream & Olive oil. I flat twisted my hair & I ALMOST CRIED A THE DEFINITION. (I did tear up some lol) and I was late for work admiring my curls. I’ve put many friends and my sisters on to this leave in conditioner and my sister actually cursed me out for holding out on her lol! When I have box braids, I no this leave in, water and Olive oil in a spray bottle to create a cream and spray/rub it into my braids. I said all this to say that if you purchase, you WILL repurchase and repurchase and spread the word. This product does not disappoint. The masque gets the same praise. JBCO is GREAT for more course hair textures or hair that dries out too often. This leave in will save you at LEAST a day or 2 with moisturizing. And if you REALLY want moisture???? Try that cantu curling cream, JBCO leave in and Olive oil and see what happens to your hair and life…. TRY IT!!!!!!” – Amazon user

7. ArtNaturals Argan Oil Hair Mask

International Pharmacy

Promising review: “BACKSTORY: I have mixed long curly hair. My mother is white and my father is black. I have been coloring and flat ironing my hair since I was 14. Throughout the years, my hair has lost its beautiful tight springy curls that I have had since I was a child. My ends were straight while the rest of my hair was somewhat curly. My hair was super dry and starting to thin because I was bleaching it and trying to get it light enough to color it grey. Well, after two failed attempts to bleach it, my hair was coming out in handfuls. Right then and there I was like :yeah, I need to stop this and worry about strengthening it”. I tried natural masks put on it, I tried organic olive oil, and I bought expensive shampoos and conditioners.
All of this effort did help somewhat but, I was running out of patience. I came to Amazon and saw all the reviews and figured it couldnt hurt. On the FIRST application I could LITERALLY feel my hair drinking all of this mask in. It kinda freaked me out to tell you the truth. As soon and I rinsed out the mask, my hair felt beyond amazing! After I dried my hair, I noticed a MAJOR difference! The ends were no longer strait, due to heat damage, and my childhood curls were finally back! Im talking Curly Sue back hunny!!!! Once my hair dried, oh boy talk about fierce!
I get sooooo many compliments on my hair. I use to favor strait hair over my naturally curly hair but now, I favor my curls over everything. I have NEVER wore my hair down so much in my life! I always telling people this hair mask and I know without a doubt that two people have bought this because of my suggestion.”- Amazon user

8. It’s A 10 Miracle Deep Conditioner Plus Keratin

Amazon.com

Promising review: “This conditioner doesn’t mess around. Assuming your hair needs conditioner, or you wouldn’t be buying it, this is the one. For years I have gone through many conditioners along with their promises, and It’s a 10 Haircare Miracle Deep Conditioner Plus Keratin comes through with what they promise! It really IS a Miracle!” – Amazon user

9. Deva Heaven In Hair Intense Moisture Treatment

Amazon.com

Promising review: “I love this treatment. I warm it up before applying it and my hair loves it. it feels softer and definitely looks more hydrated, should probably buy the small to try it out if you haven’t . If you do end up liking it I suggest buying the bigger size bottle if you do weekly treatments. It has a fresh and clean scent, it’s not fruity. It’s not buttery it has a nice soft creamy consistency. You can even put some in a spray bottle with a bit of water to have around on those dryer days. It has a nice slip when applied, overall a good deep conditioning, one of the better ones I’ve used.”- Amazon user

Even if you were taught to embrace your natural hair from Day 1 navigating the world of natural hair will always be a journey. Mainstream brands rarely consider curly-headed beauties and when it comes to catering to people with coils that are of Afro-nature their support gets even murkier. Finding products that keep your hair moisturized while insuring health and growth can be tough. Fortunately, if you’re looking to stock up your hair products supply, you’re in luck.

We scoured message boards and review boards for top-rated and promoted products to try out and keep your hair thriving!

Palmers Olive Oil Formula GRO Therapy

Amazon.com

“It’s a miracle product and a must buy I grabbed it randomly thinking that even this would be an addition to my shelf without any benefits but this actually works. I use this after my hair is dried and just a little bit otherwise it gets a little greasy wait for some time and the hair feels real good. Not for the wet hair though,”- Amazon review.

SheaMoisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil Intensive Strengthening Masque Hair Treatment

Amazon.com

One user by the name of Soleil on Amazon gave the product 5 stars and boasted that she’s been using this product for years, “Despite the propaganda, I’ve always loved and used SM products. Their masques are typically A1 for my mixed textured 3c-4b, mid-back length curly coils. I also henna on a semi-regular basis so I like to use SM masques to deep condition or leave-in afterward to style my hair. I loved and used the super fruit masque, but with the henna, I was getting protein overload and needed something that was pretty much ONLY moisturizing. I love their Raw Shea & Capuacu masque for a leave-in, but was still open to other moisturizing DC’s.I used this line’s leave-in and it did absolutely nothing for my medium-thick or mid-porosity hair. My hair drinks the milk so I don’t even mess with styling milk and leave-ins for the most part. I didn’t really pay this masque much attention since it says “strengthening” and I didn’t want to deal with protein overload again. But after a friend who also has thick curly hair shared she used it as her leave-in since it’s ultra-moisturizing, I had to try it. I LOVE this masque! I honestly think the “strengthening” piece is a misnomer, as it’s far more moisturizing than anything! Definitely recommend to anyone who’s looking for an awesome deep moisturizing conditioner to add their regimen. If you’re one who loves an ultra-moisturizing, thick leave-in, you’ll love this one for that just as well.”

Camille Rose Naturals Curlaide Moisture Butter

Amazon.com

“This whole product is great, from the color to the smell, to the way it just moisturizes your hair. This was a great deal for the money for 2 products which is very close to the price you pay for 1 product that they charge at target. Get it, spend the money they fill the product to the top and a little bit goes a long way when using the cream,” one user, who gave this moisturizing product a five-star review as well approval of the entire line, said.

Aunt Jackie’s Don’t Shrink Flaxseed Elongating Curling Gel

Amazon.com

“This is my favorite *affordable* natural hair product. there is slip, shine, and great curl definition. I use it for wash n go’s or to freshen up my curls after a few days. I’ve also had some successful twist outs. the product doesn’t make me or my hair feel sticky and it smells amazing too,” a Black reviewer with natural hair and devoted to the product shared.

Kinky-Curly Knot Today

Amazon.com

“Let me start by saying I read reviews for everything before I buy it. That being said, bad reviews always stick out more than positive reviews and reading the negative reviews for this product I was hesitant to buy it especially considering the price,” a user wrote on Amazon about this styling leave-in conditioner. “So I went to Target to stock up on my Shea Moisture products. I saw this and I’ve heard a lot of good things about kinky curly from the natural hair community. I decided to read the Amazon reviews for it and went ahead and bought it even though I was hesitant. I went home, got in the shower used Shea Moisture moisture retention shampoo, conditioned with Shea Moisture Manuka honey conditioner, washed my body, then rinsed the conditioner out. When I get out the shower I squeeze the excess water out, dry off and wrap my hair in a cotton t-shirt while I get dressed. After all this, I put the KC Knot Today in, a good-sized glob for each half of my head, and just let it air dry. It is AMAZING. I actually get the curl definition I want and very minimal frizz. My hair is extremely dry and even on the second day my hair still feels moisturized.”

Olaplex No 3 Hair Perfector

Amazon.com

“Talk about a drastic difference!” a writer for the blog Naturally Curly wrote about the product “Because I didn’t know what to expect, I was completely blown away, by the way, OlaPlex elevated my hair color! It went from a dusty blonde color to a more vibrant copper tone. Imagine what this product could do to severely color-damaged hair? It is suggested that you use this treatment in your weekly hair regimen or twice a week if your hair needs to recover from extreme color damage. Personally, I think I’ll be adding this extra step to my routine. I love that my hair looks and feels stronger. That dusty layer that my hair held onto seems to have disappeared and I couldn’t be happier.”

Babassu Quench Leave-In Curl Primer

Amazon.com

“This is my holy grail,” a reviewer from the review pages of Tepadora wrote. “My hair just is not right without this curl primer. Curls are glossy and defined with just a single pump. You can layer other products on top or just use alone. Nothing else compares.”

White Peony Leave-in Conditioner

Amazon.com

“Love this product and the pump. Works great for my really dry hair. The only thing that prevents me from giving a 5-star rating is the size. For the amount paid we should receive more ounces per bottle,” another user who gave this leave-in conditioner a five-star rating on the review boards of Naturally Curly gushed.
