Cardi B Finally Finished That Mysterious Back Tattoo And Boy Is It Impressive
While everyone else is doing stick and pokes while in quarantine, Cardi B has been working something a little bit more intense.
Without access to proper tattoo artists, many have resorted to DIY tattoos-WFH style. Recently we compiled a list of all of the cool hand-poked tattoos being created during quarantine (which is important to note that we DO NOT want you to do this at home) and couldn’t help but notice when Cardi B didn’t do one herself. Nope, instead, she summoned a tattoo veteran to finish a tattoo we’ve long been obsessed with.
After teasing parts of her new tattoo to fans for months, the “Bodack Yellow” rapper finally finished the massive design over the weekend.
“Okay guys! Soooo here it is! It took me several months but I’m finally finished. This is my back tattoo! It goes from the top of my back to the middle of my thigh,” Cardi wrote in a caption to her Instagram. In a separate clip to her Instagram, she credited tattoo artist Jamie Schene of Union3Tattoo for the work.
“60+ hours, more than 10 cities, it was an awesome project and a crazy experience,” Schene wrote in a post of his own about the tattoo which features an array of flowers, butterflies, and a hummingbird. “Thanks for your dedication, strength, and hospitality.”
The Grammy winner’s fans were quick to praise her tattoo.
“So beautiful can’t wait to finish mines,” kkvsh wrote in the replies section of the Instagram post.
“Does it glow in the DARK too,” another user by the name of theshaunabrooks inquired while others cooed over the tattoo calling it “So colorful & pretty!”
No doubt when it comes to tattoos Cardi B is quite the pro.
Cardi B has multiple tattoos on her body including the notorious and large peacock print on her left hip. She also has her sister Hennessey’s name on her bicep, her husband Offset’s name on her leg. She’s also had the tattoo “Loyalty Over Royalty” written on her right bicep and on one of her wrists she has her ex-boyfriend’s name “Tommy G.”
