Republican Radio Personality Fired For Telling People To ‘Speak English’
Dianna Ploss is a New Hampshire Republican who is ready and willing to defend President Donald Trump at every turn. His presidency apparently emboldened her to try to police what language people speak in the U.S. and it cost her her job.
Dianna Ploss was on her way to her radio hosting job when she confronted Spanish-speaking workers.
On her way to the studio, Ploss comes across a group of construction workers and proceeds to start a Facebook Live video. In the video, Ploss can be heard yelling at the workers to speak English since they are in America. Though, you probably already guessed that. Ploss claims that the situation shows Communism happening in the U.S. simply because the workers were speaking Spanish.
During the video, a man comes from across the street to defend the working men from the woman’s verbal assault. When confronted, Ploss started to ask if they were speaking Spanish because they are “illegal aliens.” She then goes on to ask why he is wearing a mask and implying that COVID-19 is not a real thing.
Ploss ends the video by making it about race. She states, “He’s a Black man and he’s going to protect the brown man from this white woman who is practicing white privilege because she happened to walk by and heard this guy talking to all of these guys doing this work in Spanish.”
The offensive tirade got her fired from her radio hosting job.
A statement on the WSMN1590 website announced her termination.
“Dianna Ploss is no longer associated or affiliated in any way with WSMN or Bartis-Russell Broadcasting, LLC. We at WSMN value freedom of speech, freedom of expression and assembly,” reads the statement. “We will not tolerate discrimination, racism or hatred. We continue to present and offer on air opportunities for discussion, education and the exchange of opinions and ideas.”
Ploss had deleted the video of the confrontation but has continued to make videos to amplify her beliefs.
During this rant, Ploss doubles down on her hatred of all things that have a non-English option. She is very upset that she has to press one to hear English instructions. Don’t even get her started on the inconvenience of calling customer service for help.
Some people on social media who are familiar with Ploss are happy the radio station took action against her.
Ploss remains undeterred and has started to create talk show videos pertaining to her views for her audience on social media.
