All Six Members Of RBD Got Together For A Group Photo, And Fans Think They’re Teasing A Reunion Tour—Here’s Why It Might Be True
RBD members reunited and posted a picture of it on New Year’s Eve. Fans were left wondering whether the reunion meant that we might be getting another album? Perhaps a tour? Or maybe we’ll get a Rebelde remake this year? Here’s why we think the former band members might be hinting at an upcoming project together.
Every Latinx kid’s favorite band of the early 00s might be getting back together.
If you grew up Latinx in the early 2000s, you were probably obsessed with Rebelde at one point or another —like the rest of us. Fans hadn’t seen all members together since 2008, when Anahi, Alfonso “Poncho” Herrera, Maite Perroni, Christopher von Uckermann and Christian Chavez were on their farewell tour.
12 years later, the band got together again to tease their fans.

Dulce Maria was the first to upload the reunion photo with her old bandmates. “Que el 2020 esté lleno de sorpresas que alegren su ❤️! Feliz año!!!,” “May 2020 be full of surprises that cheer your heart,” she wrote on Twitter.
The picture shows Dulce in a group hug with her 5 former band members.
It is not yet clear why the former RBD members were together, whether it was just a regular chat, maybe their working on an upcoming documentary, or a reunion and world tour. What’s true is that seeing the six of them in the same room, sparked the public’s anxiety. And they have thoughts.
2020 is BLESSED
Needless to say that the reunion photo sent fans into overdrive, with them expressing their excitement all over twitter and the comment section of the Instagram photos posted by band members themselves.
A lot of fans are getting their hopes up already
It is important to remember that many of the members often said that this meeting would not happen due to political differences and past discussions. The artists themselves talked about some dark times they went through during the period of time when RBD was at it’s most popular. Others remember the time with affection and say they would come back, if this happened by mutual agreement —and fans don’t even know what to expect anymore.
Seeing all the members together after more than 10 years has sent twitter into a frenzy.

Eff #WorldWarIII give us an RBD reunion tour!

The reunion actually took place before Christmas
That RBD reunion actually took place around Dec. 23 when Anahi and her bandmates uploaded a similar photo featuring the band in a group hug that didn’t show their faces. “Para siempre,” she captioned it.
Interestingly enough, all band members uploaded the same group hug on December 23.
Poncho posted the photo and dismissed all reunion rumors, saying that the 6 were only getting together as friends, with no “pesos signs,” “no interests,” “just friends getting together”: “11 años después… Citando a Mai Este es el verdadero reencuentro, no el que evidentemente se esperaría anunciar, no es el de los números, ni es un negocio de otros , ni tiene signos de pesos , el reencuentro de los seis.’ Reencuentro de amig@s, mas no de intereses.”
Christian and Christopher also posted the same photo just before Christmas
“6 souls that will never be apart!! 11 years later, the love is still intact, this is the real reunion. December 2008-December 2019” was his caption.
To add even more layers to the mystery, they all posted another group photo on the same date again.
All 6 RBD members posted a group photo again on the same day —December 31. “Cuando una no es ninguna,” said Poncho. The bandmates previously regrouped in a photo in 2015 sans Herrera. With all of them present this time around, and with all of them timing the publication of their images on the same dates, we can’t help but suspect that this was more than just a friendly get together.
Here’s to hoping we get an RBD reunion in 2020 —or at least a fun documentary. All of us rebeldes are dying to sing the nostalgic tunes of our adolescence, as was proven when #RBDForever became a trending topic on Twitter after the photo’s release.
