Most likely, your first brushes with wedding planning began with Disney movies. Long before the age of Pinterest, you also likely used the gowns worn by Ariel and Cinderella for your inspo. Welp, your wedding plans just got leveled up thanks to a new plan by Disney and it involves a whole heck of a lot of white lace and magic.
Over the weekend, the company behind some of the most romantic weddings in movie history announced they’re getting into the bridal business.
Pairing up with Allure Bridal, Disney is set to launch Disney Fairy Tale Weddings collection.
The collection is set to feature 16 different designs. All of which will be inspired by your favorite Disney princesses. Yep, including Ariel, Aurora, Belle, Jasmine, Cinderella, Pocahontas, Rapunzel, Tiana, and Snow White.
If you didn’t already guess, Ariel’s gown is 100% mermaid-style.
In a statement to the brand’s homepage, Allure’s CEO called the new line “inspired.”
“So many brides grow up admiring their favorite Disney Princess characters and are inspired by their journeys, gowns and stories of the classic films,” Kelly Crum, Allure’s CEO announced in a statement shared on the brand’s website.
In a separate post of their own, Disney shared sketches of the designs for beloved princesses Ariel, Belle and Princess Tiana’s dresses.
According to the Allure announcement, the Disney-inspired wedding gown collection will be available sometime after April. Allure also plans to unveil the entire collection during New York Bridal Fashion Week. The brand plans to sell seven of the 16 gowns through Kleinfeld Bridal in New York and Toronto exclusively as part of the Disney Fairy Tale Weddings Platinum Collection. For this line, dresses will be priced between $3,500 to $10,000. For the other dresses included in the collection, prices will range from $1,200 to $2,500 and will be available at select boutique stores across the country.
So it’s official, there will be quite a bit more Disney Latina princesses in the world!
