No doubt the Coronavirus pandemic has completely shaken up how people across the globe are living their day to day lives. Whether it’s wearing gloves, slathering yourself in hand sanitizer or more extreme like not having a job– times are tough. But if you’re one of the lucky ones who have managed to still keep their jobs, you know that making the adjustment to working remotely has been a bit clunky.

Lizet Ocampo, the political director for People for the American Way which is an organization that encourages Latinx voters to vote, knows this well.

During a recent video meeting with her colleagues, Ocampo ran into some trouble.

While taking part in a virtual happy hour for community leaders Ocampo downloaded some funny filters to use but forgot what she’d done.

During her recent meeting, Ocampo accidentally added a potato filter and then ran into trouble when she could not figure out how to remove it.

“I was so confused as to why I was a potato,” Ocampo told Buzzfeed in a recent interview. “Of all the things I could be, why a potato?”

Fortunately, Ocampo’s colleagues found humor in the mistake.

“As a progressive organization, we fight for justice for all and access to opportunities, and in the last three-plus years, it’s been a little tough,” Ocampo explained said.”I just kind of gave up and stayed as a potato for the rest of the call.”

What Ocampo didn’t know was that the screenshot of her potato face was shared on Twitter by a colleague.

The tweet went viral and now has over 900K likes.

Fortunately, Ocampo’s colleague told her about the news sending her message that said “Are you awake right now? I have something hilarious to tell you and I hope you think it’s as funny as I do because I’m also scared. I tweeted about you as a potato today and it’s VIRAL.” And Ocampo found the news funny.
