The singer sports a signature style all her own: chic, edgy, and always comfortable enough to perform those hip shaking routines! And, let’s not forget her best accessory, her “sunshine,” Gerard Piqué.
We’re currently in the thick of summertime and you know what that means: sun’s out, toes out. And this year, the toenails are looking quite a bit different than usual. That’s right, the newest trend lighting up Instagram is one we never thought we’d see: extra-long toenail pedicures.
Fortunately for us, the toenails that are catching the most attention are super-manicured and appear to be acrylics. That means the length isn’t due to neglecting a toenail clipper (thank god), but due to paying someone to make the toenails longer with a little glue and some press-ons. So next time you take a trip to the nail salon, think about asking for the newest beauty trend: long toenail acrylics. You’re sure to be the coolest girl on the block.
We’ve compiled some of the most popular looks to offer you some inspiration.
We’ll start off gently
Yes, these toenails are long, but they’re relatively mild compared to what you’re about to see. This is the standard look for the long-toenail trend. The color is solid, the shape is square, and the length isn’t so long that you can automatically spot them as acrylics.
These ones are a little more intense
It’s not the big toe that’s the most surprising of this look, but rather, the length of the small toes. It appears that this woman invested in acrylics for her small toes because, as we know, growing out your smaller toenails usually just ends in a lot of painful in-growns.
These big toes look suspiciously like duck bills
We can’t say we’re a fan of these ones. While the previous looks (mostly) kept their biggest toes on the more natural side, these ones are so freakishly long that they’re obviously not home-grown. No one’s big toenail can get that long without curling over!
This is about as mainstream as the “long toenail trend” gets:
Here we have a perfectly lovely pair of feet (never thought I would write that sentence) with medium-long lengths for all her toenails. Yes, the length is a little longer than mainstream, but you wouldn’t be shocked to see these on the street. It’s also worth mentioning that this is one of the few pairs of feet not rocking toe rings, so it seems this person favors a more conservative look.
The long French pedicure
The people who say French manicures are making a comeback probably didn’t have this in mind. The number one rule of a classy French manicure is that the white tips aren’t longer than the pink base. It’s a no from us, dawg.
The “Real Housewife” Look:
Although this acrylic pedicure is pretty shocking up close, we could actually totally see it on a wealthy, married woman of a certain age.
Long and round pedicure
Here’s a look that deviates from most of the other looks. While the other women seemed to opt for a squared-off look, this woman decided on rounded toenails. This is definitely one of the more unique pedicures we’ve ever seen. But of course, there’s more…
The bird talons
The sheer length, width, and curve of these toenails are downright shocking. But what’s more shocking is about the number of fans this look has. The comments on this look’s post are very complimentary, to put it lightly.
The white claws:
Although we love the look of a white pedicure, they’re not known for longevity. Unlike nudes, pinks, or other more neutral colors, a white pedicure can become ruined really quickly because the chips are so noticeable. We’re sure that long toenails expedite the chip-factor.
This pedicure looks like it would scrape the ground while walking
You know your toenails are too long when they hang off the side of your open-toed sandals. It’s pictures like these that make us remember why short toenails are the go-to standard. They’re more livable and more convenient! This pedicure looks like it would be chipped by the sidewalk just from a brief walk.
The long red look seems to be the go-to style for pedicure acrylics
The reasoning behind that would make sense. Anyone who’s spending the time and money to make their toenails that long would definitely want them to stand out. And red polish is just another way to bring people’s eye-line down to your feet!
And finally, the long-nailed pedicure look that takes the cake:
If you were shocked by any of the previous ones, then this one is sure to send you over the edge. We’re not quite sure why anyone would be interested in getting toenail acrylics like this. But one simple Instagram search proves that there’s a market for this look.
When it comes to the big wedding day, every bride wants their look her best and Latina brides are no different. If anything we tend to go over the top with just about everything from the veil to hair and makeup, and of course, the dress. We have to stand out because, primero muerta que sencilla.
For some novias, the wedding dress or suit is the most important choice a bride makes, and for others, it’s all about the accessories, especially those who want to use accents to highlight cultural traditions.
If you’re a Latina looking for a unique look for your wedding this Fall, here is some inspiration to make sure you look anything but sencilla on your big day.
These dresses are beautiful expressions of traditional hand-sewn styles from Mexico to Peru and are unique ways to add color to a seemingly boring white dress. This is a special way to remind your guests how proud you are of your roots.
Not all queens wear tiaras. Channel your inner Frida Kahlo in a bright pop color and a beautiful flower crown to adorn your hair. These flowers can match your bouquet for a more cohesive look or you can go rogue and style a more earthy, boho look.
Elegant Vintage Goth
Today’s brides have no reason to play by the rulebook. Break the rules, rock your tattoos and wear whatever type of crown you want to wear. This bride walked down the aisle with a dark glam, gray hair and a stunning headpiece to complete her look.
Some of us are vaqueras and proud to show it. Many brides are incorporating a cowgirl theme into the wedding and the outcome is fun and picturesque. There are also many pros to having a cowgirl-themed wedding. For one, you get to opt for cowboy boots which means you’ll be square dancing to el Caballo Dorado all night in a great pair of comfy boots! Second, who doesn’t smile when they see a great pair of boots under a wedding dress?
Lacy, Sexy, Cool Jumpsuit
Big puffy dresses can get heavy and are not very practical. Brides have the option of rocking bridal jumpsuits like the one above. Some novias like to jump out of their dresses after the religious ceremony and party in a more relaxed outfit like this. And if we’re honest this is just as eye-catching as a big puffy dress.
A Succulent Bouquet
Bouquets composed of unexpected floral arrangements like wildflowers or succulents can make a statement. This is also another way to incorporate your culture into your wedding. You can use succulents, flowers from your country and even some nopalitos.
Crowns And Headpieces For The Reina That You Are
If you’re a reina and you know it, rock your crown. Forgo the traditional veil in favor of a crown or tiara to lend a unique elegance to your look.

Looking to sparkle from head to toe? Wearing gems on your feet are the perfect accent to a cool winter wedding (and an excellent “something blue”). Closed-toe shoes are a better option during the chilly fall temperatures.

Mixing traditional elements with versatile styles, flower crowns can pull a whole bridal look together. For many brides, using a traditional dress reminds them and their families of how far they have come and how they plan to continue growing forward their culture embedded in their new family.
Goth Glam Bride
White isn’t for everyone. If darker hues are more your style, black might just be the option for you. Black dresses are the default when it comes to glamorous events and a wedding does not have to be any different. With unique accents, you can bring out your glam or bruja style into play.
For those of you planning traditional religious weddings, the classic and elegant cathedral veil is always a gorgeous touch. These types of veils have been worn for centuries and they add an extra sentimental touch. In addition, if you don’t want your hair blowing in the wind, you can opt to have a light veil floating when you walk outside to make for a great photo opp.
If you are looking to incorporate a special element into your bridal look, consider wearing “something borrowed” from a family member like a shawl or jewelry piece that is meaningful and will give you confidence on your special day. Not everyone has their mother or grandmother around on their wedding day. Adding a piece that belonged to them can sometimes make the bride feel like that person is present.
Volume Fit For A Queen

For some brides, the bigger the dress, the better! A long veil and a wide skirt add the illusion of an hourglass figure. Plus, this is called a princess style for a reason.

If a suit is more your vibe, stand out in your own style with a dapper, well-fitted suit. Suits can be accessorized with a bow, tie, cool color accents and, of course, a great hair day.
If you choose comfort over style but also don’t want to look frumpy, a greek type of silhouette is the perfect option. Channel your inner goddess or fairy with flowy gowns and hairpieces that make you seem as though you stepped from a forest sanctuary and into your wedding.
Nails As Sparkly As Your Ring

Everyone will be staring at your hands on your wedding day. Some brides opt for a nude polish but if you’re the ultimate glam girl, you have the option to add even more sparkle to your hand. Most nail salons have gel polishes with glitter but there are others that offer appliques like mini stones or pearls.
No Such Thing As Too Much Lace

My mom has said that lace tends to look like you’re wearing a mantel. But traditional lace sheath dresses can be great for all body types and lend a romantic elegance to bridal looks. To avoid the tablecloth look, try a more delicate lace that isn’t bulky or heavy.
Flowy Beach Bride

If you plan to leave the cool weather for a beach wedding, you can do no wrong with a loose flowy gown, perfect for barefoot strolls and a seaspray ceremony. The style is effortless and the pictures are perfect — as long as you check the weather before.
Bring a touch of vintage romanticism into your look with a vintage mesh veil that reveals your beautiful face. This is a lighter option that is much easier to manage than getting tangled in a six-foot veil.
Geometric Dress Design

Show off your personal style with a dress that hugs the curves and has a pattern all it’s own. These cutouts are what can make a dress more memorable.
