Bad Bunny is The Most Streamed Artist Globally on Spotify for Second Year In a Row
It’s El Conejo’s world and we’re just living in it. Spotify Wrapped was revealed today, and the number 1 artist globally on the platform is none other than Bad Bunny for the second year in a row, with over 9.1 billion streams in 2021.
While Benito did not release a new album this year, YHLQMDLG was the most streamed album last year and remains in the 20 Top Albums for 2021 globally. However, he released singles “100 Millones” with Luar La L, “De Museo” and fan-favorite “Yonaguni.” Bad Bunny was also part of massive collaborations like “AM Remix” with Nio Garcia and J Balvin, “Volando Remix” with Mora and Sech, “Volví” with Aventura, and last but not least, “Lo Siento BB:/” with Tainy and Julieta Venegas.
According to Spotify, over 870 million users have listened to at least one Latin song in the past year, and over 20.4 billion Latin songs were streamed last month. Artists like Bad Bunny, J Balvin and Karol G, to name a few, are talking La Cultura to new heights.
When it comes to genres, 8 latin music genres made it the Top 50 most streamed globally, including Latin at #11, Reggaeton at #29, Regional Mexican at #36 and Corridos at #42.

Karol G, Rauw Alejandro and More Artists in the Spotify Wrapped Global Top 50
