The Debut Trailer For ‘Hustlers’ Opens With J.Lo Showing Constance Wu How To Pole Dance And It’s Already The Sexiest Scene I’ve Seen In A Movie In A Long Time

How badly do you want to see Jennifer Lopez, Constance Wu, Lizzo, and Cardi B dancing, stripping, and racking up pyramids of cash from unsuspecting dudes? A lot? Perfect: keep scrolling.

The sickening trailer for the badass film ‘Hustlers’ is finally here.

The trailer dropped Tuesday night at midnight and fans of strippers, fierce women, and especially Cardi B, we’re all totally here for it.

The film follows the story of a group of women who have formed their own extended family. They’re all strippers in the NYC area but then they decide to go bigger and start drugging and robbing ultra-wealthy Wall Street types.

The movie is actually inspired by a true story from a now-viral magazine story.

The article, titled “The Hustlers at Scores” by Jessica Pressler, chronicles the real-life, modern Robin Hood story of a ring of strippers who ripped off wealthy clients.

The film is centered on two badass women, Destiny (Constance Wu) and Ramona (Jennifer Lopez).

Destiny is struggling to make ends meet and is helping to take care of her abuelita so she turns to stripping. This is how she meets Ramona who takes her under her wing and teaches Destiny everything she knows.

I mean Jennifer Lopez, on a pole, showing Constance Wu the moves. I. Am. Here. For. This!

Together with their extended family, these women decide to rob from the rich to help care for their loved ones.

Based off true events, J.Lo’s, Constance Wu’s, Cardi B’s, and Lizzo’s characters step up their hustle to include drugging men and robbing them of thousands of dollars.

In one scene, J Lo’s character explains it away as simply taking money from bad Wall Street guys who stole money from everyone during the financial crisis.

Things start to get real cray cray real quick.

The women end up drugging many of their clients to complete their heists…so you can see how things could quickly take a turn for the unexpected.

The plotline is amazing but many fans are here to support this gorgeous, talented, diverse cast of incredible women!

The casting director for this movie 100% deserves some serious stanning.

In addition to Jennifer Lopez and Constance Wu in badass lead roles but fans will also see Cardi B, Keke Palmer, Lizzo, and Usher on the big screen. Like what did we do deserve this masterpiece?!

Some in the Bardi-gang took to Twitter to say they’re kinda disappointed by the trailer.

They wanted more Cardi.

But whoever is running the Hustlers’ Twitter account was quick to calm their nerves.

According to the ‘Hustlers’ Twitter feed, “Cardi B is this movie.” Apparently, they didn’t wanna give it all away so soon. So Cardi B fans better get ready for her big screen acting debut.

Overall, ‘Hustlers’ looks like it just may be one of the fiercest movies of 2019.

See you at the movies!

Just In Time For Gifting Season: JLo and ARod Dropped An Affordable Sunglass Collab Collection With Quay Australia

Just as there is a separation between the church and state, so too, we’ve been told to set strict boundaries in business. “Never mix pleasure with business,” goes the saying, as old as time. And we all know that keeping friendly, or even worse, romantic, relationships with people with whom you do business is not always a good idea —Unless you’re the ultimate power couple, then by all means, mix it up, finesse us all and show us how it’s done. J.Lo and ARod are just that couple. And their venture into business together is off to a pretty good looking start.

Jenny from the block mixed business with pleasure on her latest collab with her sportsman partner Alex Rodriguez, except for her, the partnership was more like a good idea than a bad one.

JLo and ARod teamed up with Australian eyewear brand Quay Australia to create a range of glamorous statement shades that won’t set you back more than $60.

The couple shot the campaign for their collection in Miami—a place they both call home.

The singer and actress posed with the former baseball shortstop in a series of sultry, tropical-infused images to promote the couple’s sunglass collection. The dynamic duo shot the campaign in Miami. “It was really special to be able to shoot in Miami with Jennifer, she was the one who introduced me to Quay Australia,” said ARod in an interview with Elle. Lopez, on her part, told People how shooting in Miami felt natural, since it’s the place she calls home. “I’ve had a love affair with Miami for many years, and now it’s our city—it’s our second home,” she added.

ARod and JLo are the only couple who can color coordinate their outfits and still look stylish af.

The series of photographs feature the powerhouse couple coordinating looks in bright, bold colors giving them that #couplegoals look that many of us have tried and failed at achieving. “It’s always easy when we get to do things together,” Lopez told People about shooting the campaign. “We always wind up laughing out loud.” —couple goals I tell ya.

The shades are divided into two collections, but all the styles are unisex.

The dual collection is already shoppable on Quay Australia’s website. None of the shades cost more than $60, and while Alex and Jennifer have ‘his’ and ‘hers’ product pages, both ranges work pretty well on both men and women.

JLo gave her shades, witty names in Spanish while ARod chose more classic styles and names.

Instagram @quayaustralia

Jennifer’s selection is tad bit flashier —to be expected from the queen of the Bronx— they feature fancier, bolder hardware. Another detail we loved, is that J.Lo gave her shades, names in Spanish, like “La Reina,” “La Playa,” and “El Dinero.” Alex’s options though, are more understated and classic, the shapes come with a thin wire rim and they feature names such as “Poster Boy” and “Apollo.”

“I’ve followed the brand for quite some time and love how they are disrupting the eyewear category. I’ve never had a pair of sunglasses that fit so well and the fact that you can get high quality, polarized sunglasses for $50 is pretty great,” Alex said —and we couldn’t agree more on that price point remark.

The ‘Hustlers’ star first collaborated with Quay in March.

Instagram @jlo

When her first collab dropped —on the same month that she announced her engagement to Alex Rodriguez after two years of dating— J.Lo took to instagram to share the news and her love for sunglasses; “Sunglasses are my accessory of self-expression. I can wear them from the gym to the red carpet, and this line perfectly captures the sporty, but also sexy and glam vibe that I love!”

The brand has always been great at teaming up with celebrities to create glasses people want.

Instagram @quayaustralia

Quay Australia’s most recent A-list partnership was with Chrissy Teigen, who told Harper’s Bazaar that she really wanted to ensure her looks worked for all kinds of different face shapes and preferences. “I tend to lean towards oversized sunglasses because I don’t love putting on a full face of makeup every day.” This idea seemed to be kept in mind for J.Lo’s second Quay launch as well. Though there are lots of different small options available, we have to say, the big ones are still our faves.

Comprised of 18 styles, the line offers a wide selection of chic glasses – featuring bold shields, flirty cat-eye shades and classic aviators. Shop the collection at quayaustralia.com.

This Is What Cardi B Thinks Of Instagram Taking Away ‘Likes’ And Here’s Why She’s Right

Earlier this year, Instagram began trialling the removal of likes in Canada. In a bid to reduce stress and anxiety surrounding the user experience with the platform, Instagram has announced that the social media will be test hiding likes in the US, too —And Cardi B had some thoughts.

Instagram announced that the platform will be hiding ‘likes’ in the US this week.

Instagram’s CEO Adam Mosseri, announced last Friday that the platform will be hiding the number of ‘likes’ on posts this week. The new feature is being met with strong backlash, especially many influencers and celebrities —among them, the opinionated rapper, Cardi B.

Cardi B took to Instagram to protest the feature, arguing that removing likes wouldn’t make Instagram any less toxic because “the comments affect more than the likes.”

The rapper posted a video on Instagram, explaining how she believes that the comments section is more toxic to users than seeing likes or not. She said: “If anything is affecting Instagram right now, I really feel it’s the way the comments have been done or have been changing these past few years.”

Cardi voiced her concerns of the comments section, pointing out how many trolls will post triggering comments just to get reactions.“That’s when I feel like when people started sayin’ nasty things … somebody would just say something so vile because … they want comments back,” she explained.“Because I feel people been saying the most weirdest shit, been starting the craziest arguments, been starting to race bait, all because of comments, because they want to get to the top, they want to get the most reactions.”

The feature was already been tested in other countries, and now that it’s coming to the US, celebrities are sharing their take.

The feature has already been tried out in seven countries including Australia, Ireland, and Canada in recent months. When it was rolled out there, influencers complained that hiding likes would give them less leverage over brand deals and sponsored content now, celebrities are calling out the app for experimenting with removing likes, with some threatening to stop posting to Instagram.

Nicki Minaj says she won’t be posting on IG anymore.

Another rapper known for not holding back on sharing her opinions, threatened to stop posting on Instagram if the feature were to take effect. What indeed would we do with all the time we’d have without Instagram?

Nicki has a sort of conspiracy theory to explain what’s behind Instagram’s new move.

Minaj went on to tweet about her speculation that Instagram is hiding likes to manipulate what posts users get to see in their feed, regardless of how much engagement posts are getting. Nicki’s speculations might have some grounds. She referred to the well-documented phenomenon of YouTube view counts fluctuating after videos are posted, which can happen when YouTube determines views come from bots or other fraudulent sources.

Juicy J also had something to say about the new IG feature.

The rapper predicts backlash against the change, tweeting that he expected people to leave Instagram and go “back to real life.”

Others however, think that the decision to hide likes is a good thing.

Despite having more than 151 million Instagram followers and the platform being crucial to making some of her $350 million personal net worth, Kim Kardashian West seems to agree with Instagram’s decision to hide ‘likes’. “As far as mental health, I mean it’s something that taking the likes away and taking that aspect away from it would be really beneficial for people,” Kardashian West said during The New York Times’ DealBook conference last week.

Tracee Ellis Ross also voiced her support for the change.

Everyone’s favorite person on IG right now, Tracee Ellis Ross, is also in support of removing likes. She said that the like count had “adverse effects.” “It creates a culture that isn’t helpful for well-being and isn’t fruitful for creative energy,” during a panel discussion with Instagram’s CEO Adam Mosseri.

The popularity-contest-style pressure associated with Instagram likes will probably just shift to another one of the many metrics measured on the platform —or who knows, maybe the move will actually make everyone happy? Either way, the social media platform will be rolling out the new feature on a small group of users this week, whether we like it or not. And we’ll be keeping our eyes open to see what the change brings.
