The “Clout” rapper” deactivated her Twitter account over the weekend after criticizing her fans on Instagram Live for involving themselves in her private life, namely her relationship with Migos rapper Offset. Speaking to fans during the Livestream the rapper she claimed that she was departing from the platform for a while because âa whole bunch of 15-year-olds telling me how to live my life like I’m motherf***ing ArianaGrande or something like I came from Disney or something.â
The Twitter departure comes one month after the rapper filed for divorce from the rapper and one week after they were locking lips at her birthday party.
Her reaction also comes at a time when Cardi B appears to be back together with Offset and fan disapproval.
“I’m so tired that because of y’all I’ve gotta continuously explain myself,” Cardi continued. “I didn’t put my divorce out there, a fucking court clerk put it out there. And because people are making rumors up, âOh, this guy has a girl pregnant,â this and that, I have to address it.” She added that she doesn’t understand why if she’s able to work things out with her husband people still feel entitled to harass him on social media. âTo be honest with you, my marriage is one of the least worries that I have right now,â she said. âI love my fans and I’m thankful and I’m grateful for everything you do, but some of you really be acting like I sleep with ya.â
Cardi went on to complain about what her fans have said about Offset online.
“You guys want to be harassing this n—-. Bro, if I work things out, why are you going to this n—-‘s Twitter to harass him? That s— don’t make no f—ing sense,” she said.
Three years have passed since Cardi B and Offset got married and quite a bit has happened for them in the interim. They’ve had a child, they’ve both managed to make Billboard music hits and come out with multiple albums. They’ve dealt with public spats, accusations of infidelity, breakups and reunions.
Earlier this month, Cardi announced that they’re officially ending it.
In a post shared to her Instagram LIVE in early September, Cardi B confirmed reports that she’d filed to divorce Offset.
Surprisingly, she even opened up about why. The rapper revealed that after being with Offset for four years, she âgot tired of not seeing things eye to eye” and that she has “not shed not one tear” since making her decision.
Further referencing her decision to file, Cardi explained that “Every single time that this guy has been so crazy, so f—ed up and it hits the media, I’m always crying, always sad because I don’t like that type of s—,” she explained before going on to assert that “this time, I wasn’t crying. You want to know why? The reason for my divorce is not because of none of that s— that ever happened before. It’s not because of cheating. I’m seeing people be like, ‘Oh, he has a baby on the way.’ That’s a whole f—ing complete lie. That’s the second time people are trying to pin babies over here. No, that’s bulls—.”
Ultimately, the rapper admitted to growing tired of the dynamic of her relationship with her “Clout” collaborator.
“I just got tired of f—ing arguing,” she confessed. “I got tired of not seeing things eye to eye. When you feel like it’s just not the same anymore, before you actually get cheated on, I’d rather just leave.”
âNothing crazy out of this world happened, sometimes people really do grow apart,” she admitted. “I been with this man for four years. I have a kid with this man, I have a household with this manâŠsometimes youâre just tired of the arguments and the build-up. You get tired sometimes and before something happens, you leave.â
Speaking about life after her announcement, Cardi B says she has prospects.
Speaking to her OnlyFans subscribers, the rapper said it’s not at all dry out there for a WAP. In a report by Billboard, Cardi admitted that she could âdate any man I wantâ but that sheâs not at all interested in starting anything new at the moment.
âI donât actually want to date nobody. Iâm so focused on my business that itâs crazy,â Cardi admitted revealing that her DMs are âfloodedâ with messages from prospects. She also commented on the stigma she might endure as a result of her decision. âYou cannot hurt my feelings trying to throw the divorce in my face because, at the end of the day, I decided I wanted to leave,â she stated. âI didn’t wait until he cheated on me again. I didn’t wait [for] another controversy with him being involved. I decided to leave. If I wanted to stay, I could have stayed. I decided to leave.â
The “WAP rapper” filed for divorce from Offset earlier this month
Cardi filed for divorce from the Migos member on September 15. The divorce petition was filed with the Fulton County Superior Court in Atlanta, Georgia.
âOffset and Cardi both continue to put Kulture first through this troubling time,â a source reportedly told Us Magazine. According to reports, the couple has a hearing set for Wednesday, November 4.
In December 2018, Cardi confirmed that she had split from Offset in an Instagram video where she claimed they âgrew out of love.â
âSo everybody been bugging me and everything and you know Iâve been trying to work things out with my babyâs father for a hot minute now,â Cardi said. âWe are really good friends and we are really good business partners â you know heâs always somebody that I run to talk to, and we got a lot of love for each other â but things just havenât been working out between us for a long time. Itâs nobody fault I guess we just grew out of love, but we are not together anymore. It might take time to get a divorce and Iâm going to always have a lot of love for him because he is my daughterâs father.”
At the time, Offset begged to be taken back and gave her a long apology on Instagram.
âI only got one birthday wish and thatâs to get my wife back Cardi,â Offset revealed. âWeâre going through a lot of things right now, a lot of things in the media. I want to apologize to you Cardi. I embarrassed you. I made you go crazy.â
Soon after, the couple reunited and made things official at the 2019 Grammys. As part of an interview with Vogue this past January, Cardi opened up about forgiving Offset’s infidelity.
âEverybody has issues,â Cardi explained. âI believe in forgiveness. I prayed on it. Me and my husband, we prayed on it. We had priests come to us. And we just came to an understanding like, bro, itâs really us against the world. He has my back for everything, I have his back for everything, so when you cheat, youâre betraying the person that has your back the most. ‘Why would you do that?’ We have come to a clear understanding. For me, monogamy is the only way. Iâll beat your ass if you cheat on me.â
Itâs no secret that when it comes to navigating and thriving in a work environment, women have it particularly difficult. Especially when it comes to climbing up the corporate ladder. For Black women, however, the challenges of this climb are especially strenuous. According to LeanIn.org and McKinsey & Companyâs 2019 Women in the Workplace study, “Black women and Latinas are more likely to be held back by the broken rung.”
Not surprisingly, Black women have a lot to say about the lack of equal opportunity in the office space.
âI still get some of this shit on occasion, but I’ve worked at my place long enough that people know to keep out of my business unless we’re talking business. I’m also fortunate to work for people who only care about your numbers and what you close on (finance) and crack down quick on racist/sexual harassment bullshit.
Imo, being great at your job gives you a lot of leeway, and women don’t often take advantage of it enough. Like when a co-worker implied I got my degree because of affirmative action, I set him straight quick with photos of my college acceptance letter and scholarship for academic performance.
Then I told my immediate rep and added that I’m just here to work and do good work, while casually dropping the fact that my sales were ~350% above the floor average. That perked him up enough to deal with the situation right then and there and bump the guy down a level.
Obviously being assertive doesn’t always work out in your favor, and sometimes it can even get you burned. But there’s something to be said for flexing the muscle you’ve built up and using Capitalism, your own generated value, as leverage. Even if it’s not your immediate boss, odds are there is someone in the hierarchy of your company who doesn’t fuck around and recognizes the problem perverts and bigots generate for employee performance (and litigation).â- Quixadashani
âHead. Phones. As soon as they start up with the problematic conversations in the office, slip them bad boys on and listen to a podcast or playlist.
I also had to learn to mind my ps and qs. Meaning be on time and make sure I’m doing everything by the book. Make sure I’m great at my job. They can’t come for you when they don’t have any dirt on you. Being able to check people in a nice way is paramount. I’m still working on that part. They pulled some mess last week when they tried to kick me off a volunteer charity team because they don’t like me or whatever. I called them out saying, “Why are y’all acting funny?” Oops, not the best way to handle it.â –leftblane
âWhere do I start. First off my story is going to be a bit of a one off. Alot of the issues I faced in my office were actually caused by other people of color (Asians and Latinx, specifically). I’m one of four African Americans that work in a small company, and the only one on night shift. I’ve been there for two years. During those two years I have been there I’ve been called degrading names. I hear dehumanizing “black jokes” aimed and told directly to me on a daily basis. Most of the time these little shenanigans are pulled once upper management leaves or when they are not around. My tipping point was realizing that HR was useless because a lot of the things I was getting ready to report have already been reported for years.
The icing on the cake was in the beginning of November 2017. I overheard the companies president, a white guy in his 60s, use the N-word three times in a span of 10 minutes. So then I knew, I couldn’t go to anyone in the company to get any of these issues resolved. I personally have taken a radical approach to solving the issues for myself. I started recording everything they said to me. When there try to pull some of their racist games on me I threaten them. When one decided to try and pet me like I was some sort of dog, I told him I was going to break his hand, and I wasn’t kidding. I don’t recommend taking that approach, but it’s gotten them to stop bothering me. Shit most don’t talk to me anymore or dare stand next to me, which I like.
The company recently promoted a new person to night shift supervisor, he’s been with the company for 15 years. I’ve been helping him transition into his new role, as I know about a lot of the policies and technology we deal with. All while still taking care of my own workload. He’s been begging me to stay because of the help I’ve been giving him. When I told him about the things that I have had to put up with, he said he would address it immediately. The next day he sent one of the perpetrators home early for their antics, and that’s just the start. So who knows, maybe I might stay a little longer since I’m planning to move out of the state next year. But other more appealing I.T. jobs are out there that I’m eyeing. Plus my second job is trying to offer me full time, although it’s retail and not I.T. related. So it’s good having a backup plan.
Oh, I also go to the gym, I actually recommend it. Takes your mind off a lot. My particular gym needs a punching bag though. Sorry for the essay and long read. Probably the longest post I’ve ever typed on a phone, and posted on a site.â –DarksideImperialist
âI really get where you’re coming from because I work in a specialist field too. I sit and wonder if I were in another field would they have had the balls to try some of the crap that they have.
The gym is a good shout to go vent out some frustration, it’s next on my summer list of things to do. I’m slowly starting to make my way back out because all the stress had caused me to retreat into myself and hardly leave the house except for food or work because it essentially because my safe haven. I’m hoping your situation gets a lot better soon!â- beautynerds
âIf it’s that bad, I’d leave. Few jobs are worth all that discomfort.
That being said, I’ve been in toxic work environments that have had black women stay employed there for long periods of time. They either cut out all social contact with everyone so no one feels comfortable enough to do the microagressions and things are always awkward with them or they do their best Ben Carson impression. Neither really pans out well for black women, so again, I say find a new job and try to get a raise out of it.â- Worstmodonreddit
âI work in the nuclear industry so it’s quite a unique job, so although I have been looking it’s been difficult to find something of a similar calibre, let alone better. I’ll also admit that there’s a bit of a fear factor over the devil you know, but I’m getting over that now. My mentor managed to organise a move of departments for me so I could have a bit of a reprieve but it’s only made me realise that living in the boonies gives folk an excuse to be ignant. It’s a work in progress.â- beautynerds
No doubt the current quarantine has been desperately tragic at times. Still, many are choosing to find the bright and positive aspects of life in seclusion. From picking up new hobbies to finding time to save money and work on home projects, Reddit users are finding the bright side of these current times.

âI got to spend a lot more time with aging pets. I had to put down a cat this fall but for seven months he got to lay on my keyboard and interrupt zoom calls all day. I also have a 12 year old lab and spending this year with her all day every day has been awesome.â-Santos_L_Halper_II
âA lot of restaraunts have really upped their online ordering and drive through game. Like a well oiled machine.â- Wilhelm_Amenbreak
âAnd some shockingly haven’t. I got take out from one of my favorite restaurants the other day, and it took so long to order on the phone, that next time I’m just going to go down there and place an order in person. I had to speak to three different people to accomplish it – being put on hold each time – and give my credit card over the phone. And before you ask, yes, they advertise take out on their website and menu, so it isn’t as if it’s a service they don’t normally provide.â- Amelaclya1
âI got 6 to 8 hours a week back in commuting time. That’s, like, about a whole extra work day every week that’s mine to do with as I please. It’s been incredible. And I hadn’t realized how stressed my commute makes me. I don’t have to be careful not to forget anything before I leave for work (or when I’m leaving the office at the end of the day), I don’t have to pack lunch, I don’t have to make sure I’m dressed for the weather both now and in 8 hours when I’m coming home. I don’t have to get wet when I get that wrong, and I don’t have to spend a day at work with my shoes and socks wet, or all of me wet. I don’t have to wait at a bus stop for forty minutes waiting for a bus that should have been here thirty minutes ago.â –S_thyrsoidea
âNo Commute =
Well no commute
No commute people
No delayed trains
No weather … less health issues (even just less colds) from constant changing temps
Time
Morning – 2 hours extra sleep and not having to get ready
Day – generally chores, laundry, cleaning, dishes get done on work down time. So this frees time on the weekends
Afternoon – 1.5 hours of me time.
Money
Communing total costs for my household (just for work) was around $500 a month. The added cost of heating / cooling, electricity, etc from being home is nowhere near that.
Food – I can cook all my own food
Dont need to replace going to work stuff. (clothes, shoes, beauty products, etc)
Health
I can workout more regularly, get sleep, eat better.
Also getting stuck at work by 5 minutes, no longer means getting a train 30 minutes later …. it actually means 5 minutes.â- 424f42_424f42
âYeeeeep…
I’m not only saving close to 4h a day by not having to commute, but also the costs of public transportation and overpriced lunch near the office. In practice, it’s like having my shifts reduced by 20% and getting a pay raise at the same timeâ –SchrodingerSemicolon
âI am a recovering alcoholic. Spending most of my time at home exploring my hobby’s, attending virtual counseling, and rebuilding relationships with my loved ones has helped me to realize that no substance has ever given me so much contentment, and I honestly never want to give up what I have now. In 4 weeks, I will be celebrating my 2 year sobriety anniversary. The grass (underneath the foot of snow) has never seemed greener!â- artgirl483
âCorollary: Not needing to act like you want to talk to anyone while you wait for the coffee machine in the morning. And the overall unhealthy coffee culture offices breed, in general.â- dontFart_InSpaceSuit

âIf it wasn’t for the pandemic, my dad would be dead right now.
He likes to come over to our place while I’m at work and spend time with my dogs. My papillon got away from him and wanted to play chase in our garage, which is basically a storage unit right now, and she was bobbing and weaving through boxes. When he caught her and took her inside, he noticed he was having a hard time catching his breath.
My brother, who lives with me, offered to let him use his new oxygen meter, which he bought after he developed some temporary sleep apnea after he had covid. The meter was frighteningly low, so he told our dad to go to the walk-in clinic. They told him as soon as he explained his oxygen level that he needed to go to the ER.
He tests negative for covid at the ER, but they found MULTIPLE blood clots in his lungs. They kept him a few days in the hospital, and he made a complete recovery with no permanent damage.
I know my dad very well. Under normal circumstances, he would have gone home, tried to relax, gone to bed that night, and possibly never woken up the next morning. But covid has us all on high alert, especially when it comes to breathing troubles. I NEVER thought I’d be thankful for it
Also after he got out of the hospital, he gave said papillon an extra special doggy treat for, “saving his life.â- faerytheft
âSimilarly, if not for remote doctors and virtual visits, I would have let a potentially bad infection fester. I was too embarrassed for years to see a practitioner in person, and while the infection was very recent, I was dreading an appointment. And then, like angels heralding on high, I got an email from my insurance about scheduling remote consultations. Iâve now talked to more doctors this year on my own than ever before, and even made some progress with a therapist.â –cavepainted
âPlaying board games with my teenaged kids. We got away from it as they got older. I still kick ass on Scrabble, but they smoke me on Backgammon. Ticket to Ride is a blast. Yahtzee too.
Edit: Well this certainly resonated with the community. To answer a few questions: We don’t play every night. A couple of times a week is where we’re at now. We have more modern games, but Backgammon and Yahtzee- especially Yahtzee- is the one they like to play the most. Monopoly, when played without ‘house rules’ is fun. It probably won’t last when things go back to normal, so I’m loving it while it lasts. Thanks for the awards!â-2leewhohot
âI have two teens (and a spouse). We really enjoy Spoons and Bullshit. Easy, fast paced card games. We also play blackjack as a family. We have a whole set of cards and chips. We keep a running tally of our chips on paper. My husband gets so mad because our daughter plays her gut and he plays by the ârulesâ and she is like a fake billionaire now and heâs always panhandling for fake money to get him back in the game. Itâs a riot. Our son is always the dealer, our âcasinoâ is named after him and itâs a good exercise in social skills and self control.â –dualsplit

âIâve been asking, no, begging for WFH for 2 years prior, filling in medical reasons, etc. My boss agreed. HR & management basically ignored me. Like, dream on, never gonna happen.

They still send regular âcovid emailsâ thanking us for our incredible adaptability in these difficult times, and they hope we will soon be able to return to ânormalâ.

âMe too! I lost 17 lbs and I just was discharged from therapy because my depression is officially, clinically at a zero. Go us!
To answer some questions:
Weight loss: I initially did a wellness challenge called 75HARDâa 75 day challenge that requires two workouts per day and sticking to a diet of your choice, among several other daily tasks. That kicked my butt into gear and got me into the habit of regularly exercising and eating well, so Iâve lost a few more lbs since I completed it in September. This also helped my mental health a lot, but not completely.
Mental health: I did Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, which is a form of CBT that focuses on accepting your feelings and mindfully working through them, rather than avoiding them. My therapist had me fill out a questionnaire every time we met and based on my answers, he was able to calculate numbers on a depression scale. I canât go into more detail about that, cause I donât know, but I started at a 42/100 and last week was at a 3 on one scale. And on another I started out at a 7/10 and last week was at a 0. So Iâm clinically not depressed I guess. Plus, the last several weeks Iâve come to him feeling great and having little to talk about, which meant it was time for me to be discharged.
Why was I discharged? My therapist works out of a medical facility, rather than private practice, so they go based on a medical model. Itâs more of a âletâs give our patients the tools they need to cope and once they no longer NEED us, weâll let them go,â so they can make room for more patients with acute needs, rather than a âweâll see patients as long as they pay us.â I couldâve been referred to someone like that, but, like I said, I didnât have much to talk about by the end.
What specifically helped me? Mindfulness exercises and writing down 5 good things about myself each day. My negative self talk was the biggest factor in my depression. I donât do that anymore. I am a badass!â- yojothobodoflo
âMan I feel totally the opposite. I’ve gained weight and feel totally anxious and depressed. I think I was before but now feel like deffff am. Considering therapy but feel overwhelmed by the different options. Like there are so many different titles and qualifications and methods and the insurance is even more confusing than finding a primary care. Which I also need to doâŠ.â- Pficky
âNo pressure to go somewhere on my days off. I don’t feel like I’m wasting time when I have days off and don’t spend them traveling or seeing people. I love staying at home and just hanging with my two cats. Sweat pants on, messy bun, junk food and games. I’m content with that.â- not-a-real_username
âYes. I think I have learned to accept my homebody nature instead of feeling like I “should” be going out and doing things. There’s nothing wrong with making a home for yourself and then enjoying being there.â-notreallylucy
âMy employer now knows for sure that working from home is completely doable and really doesn’t fuck up productivity.
I’ve also learned that I like going into the office once or twice a week just to break up the monotony of working from home all the time.â- AcrolloPeed
âFor me personally, online learning. It just clicks with my brain somehow. Iâve gotten the best grades these past few semesters of my whole time in college. Iâm off academic probation, I got an A in a class I failed twice before (required for my major), and I am able to do a second major I really wanted. Iâm so much less stressed about exams and it feels so good to be able to show my parents grades Iâm proud of. I donât know how I wouldâve been able to do this without online classes. I had a lot of trouble with attendance, and my bad memory, and now Iâm able to go to class from my room and re-watch lectures and have some notes for exams. I felt so low my first few years of college and I finally feel good about myself as a student. Itâs still hard to believe that itâs me getting these grades and graduation is scary but Iâm so glad I get to do it.
Edit: thank you so much for all of the support and the really interesting discussions people are having! And a special thank you to the people who gave me awards, that’s very kind of you all!
I think the big takeaway here is that neither online nor in-person classes are objectively better, and that different learning formats work for different people. Hopefully colleges will be able to offer all or most classes in either format post-pandemic so that students can choose which version works for them. Good luck everyone, I believe in you!â-pastelkawaiibunny
âSeconding this. I can pause the recording to think through something I don’t understand, or work through a proof that clearly isn’t trivial despite the lecturer’s insistence so it won’t distract me for the rest of the lesson. The easy parts I can juat fast-forward through.â-Vampyricon
âYou learned something important about yourself.. Several somethings, actually. You now know where and how and under what conditions you thrive.
The world has also learned several somethings too. “Out of the box” is no longer a metaphor. There are many ways to achieve. Remote employees can and will deliver. Embracing all this improves the bottom line!
Put these two things together: You now know what place you seek, and that place now EXISTS! Enjoy the finding of it, friendâŠâ-JuliusVrooder
