Salice Rose Awkwardly Introducing Her Girlfriend In A Video Is One Of The Most Endearing Things On The Internet

YouTuber and poderosa extraordinaire Salice Rose just gave the Rose Family a very vulnerable inside look at her love life, and fans are freaking. Completely out of the blue, Salice posted a video to her Twitter account with the caption, “The wait is over. I’m shaking I’m so nervous. You guys…..MEET MY GIRLFRIEND!”

Girl, we had no idea we were waiting for this and the Rose family loves seeing Salice be the most awkward she has ever been.

At first, we just see Salice in a trench coat in a closet confessing how nervous she is to introduce us to her.

“I’ve never posted someone I was with in my life on social media… This is a very, very big step of me to do, but I feel like you guys deserve that part of me,” she opens up in the video. She tells us that she loves us at least six times during what is obviously a very brave and nerve-wracking moment for the star.

Then, Salice has a wardrobe change and introduces her bae!

Salice just announced that her fanbase is officially known as “The Rose Family,” and everyone has their own reaction. Speaking on behalf of all singles is @torixgiselle who laments, “the world really is ending if salice is showing off her bae ????????”

Bae is so nervous she forgets to give us her name.

According to her brand new YouTube channel, already at 6,350 subscribers, she goes by Brilynn Ford. “I’m scared. I hope you guys trust me enough to accept this part of my life into your life and come on this journey with me and with us,” Salice tells us.

Brilynn is promising to publicly prank Salice, and she’s ready for it.

Salice tells us that Brilynn is very gullible and gets surprised so easily. Salice thinks she’ll be easy bait, but we’re not buying it.

The two are just dating right now, but Brilynn wants to lock Salice down.

When the camera holder asks them to talk more about their personal life and less about franks, Salice makes this face. Brilynn says, “She’s so anti-dating. I can’t even say we’re dating. I don’t even know what we’re doing right now.”

Salice says, “F*** it, I’m down,” and Brilynn gets SO excited. “We’re dating?!” Brilynn asks. “Noooo, yes, we’re dating but we’re not together.”

They’ve known each other for three years and just recently started dating.

Salice Rose / YouTube

They would talk a couple of times a year like no time had passed, and just recently, it just happened. Salice tells us that if they were to ever “get together,” we would know about it and they would “film the whole thing.”

“Everything we do we’re going to do on camera now.”

Salice Rose / YouTube

Brilynn keeps trying to go in to kiss Salice and she gets so awkward. This is obviously love, y’all. After Salice left the room, Brilynn turns to us to reveal it all: “Now that she’s gone, I can tell you guys that we’re actually dating. She’s just in denial.”

Salice shouts, “That is not a fact.” Brilynn is like, “I didn’t know that she could hear me. It’s definitely a fact okay.”

Salice might be afraid of committing to the title but has the cojones to declare her likeship of Brilynn to the world.

Fans are coming in with the truth like @judycabrera_ saying, “She’s dope like her personality alittle awkward but you guys will get better.”

@0kayVania speaks for the rest of us when she says, “my heart is filled with warmth. my happiness for you is so huge, you deserve everything. i’m glad you are able to feel comfortable sharing these news and i wish you nothing but the best.”

Felicidades, Salice! We ship this awkward baby love.

Here Are Some Queer Films And Shows To Watch To Start Pride Off Right

Pride Month is here and that means it is time to highlight the already celebrated LGBTQ+ shows and movies that have made a mark on us. Since Pride and the COVID pandemic are coinciding, it is a good time to watch some of the best examples of LGBTQ+ Latino entertainment.

“Moonlight”

Winner of the Academy Award for Best Picture, “Moonlight” brought Afro-Latino, Black, and queer storylines together. The movie follows a young Black man in Miami and his own trials and tribulations growing up with a mother who is addicted to drugs. His life is changed thanks to an Afro-Cuban man who takes him under his wing and shows him how to make it through his adolescents.

“To Wong Foo, Thanks For Everything! Julie Newmar”

One of the most popular classic films in LGBTQ+ cinema. “To Wong Foo, Thanks For Everything! Julie Newmar” follows three drag queens who drive from New York to Los Angeles for a national drag beauty pageant. Chi Chi Rodriguez, played by Joh Leguizamo, convinces the two competing queens to let him ride with them. Along the way, Rodriguez learns what it means to be a drag queen and the queens all learn a lot from a small, rural community filled with unexpected love and understanding.

“Pose”

“Pose” brings the ballroom culture straight to your living room. Set at the beginning in 1987 New York City during the peak of the AIDs epidemic, “Pose” empowers the queer people of color of the time. Ballroom culture is an underground dancing culture that has jumped into the mainstream because of “Pose.” The show takes the narrative of HIV-positive people of color in the time and empowers them rather than tears them down.

“Tangerine”

“Tangerine” is the story of a prostitute on a mission. The main character gets out of jail and learns that their boyfriend and pimp has started a new relationship with another woman. So, she and her friend set out to find him and teach the two a lesson for straying from her while she was incarcerated.

“Gentefied”

“Genetfied” is the latest Netflix hit and it is all about gentrification and the fight to keep Boyle Heights Latino. In the overall story, there is a lesbian relationship that is leaving everyone with all kinds of envy.

“One Day At A Time”

Netflix really misstepped here when they pulled the plug on their production of “One Day At A Time” but Pop TV saved the show. The first three seasons are currently on Netflix so you can still watch all of those episodes and enjoy the growing openness of Elena as she comes out.

“La casa de las flores”

This telenovela is truly one of the most incredible projects with LGBTQ+ characters today. Even Valentina, the famed drag queen from “RuPaul’s Drag Race” is in the latest season solidifying the shows LGBTQ+ status.
