The show which was initially conceived as an educational intervention program directed at low-income, minority children gave kids of different colors and economic backgrounds a chance to learn numbers, the alphabet and speak rudimentary Spanish and English. Part of the show’s effort in this execution included featuring strong female characters that didn’t fall into regular female stereotypes.
