Canela.TV Is A Free Bilingual Streaming Service That The Whole Family Can Enjoy

Streaming is the most common form of media being consumed right now. Whether it is Hulu, Amazon, Netflix, or Disney+, there is always something playing in the house. Canela.TV is entering the game to give bilingual families shows and movies that they can all enjoy.

Canela.TV wants to serve as the streaming platform for the bilingual family.

The entertainment streaming platform is offering people more than 8,000 hours of Spanish and English movies and tv shows for free. The streaming platform is a branch of Canela media, a minority and female-owned digital media tech company.

Canela.TV isn’t just about the language, but about the relevance of the programming for Latinos.

According to Mintel, Latino households are a major market for streaming services. Seven out of 10 Latinos stream movies and tv shows as part of their weekly habits. Canela.TV is hoping to become part of that weekly habit by curating movies and tv shows that speak to the larger Latino experience.

Canela.TV partnered with various production houses to provide the kind of television and movie experience it has to offer.

Atr3s Media, Caracol Television, and Legendary are three of the production houses offering their shows and movies on Canela.TV. Some of the titles offered include the documentary “Chavela” telling the story of one of Mexico’s most celebrated musicians and her alleged affair with Frida Kahlo. “Flamenco Flamenco,” a movie from 2010, is also available to teach viewers the history of Flamenco dancing.

There is a category dedicated to the hot and saucy movies that can make an at-home date night muy caliente.

Corneador” is the wild tale of an attorney who ends up working as a gigolo. He is hired by men who want to see their wives enjoying another man. It is 2020 and the traditional dynamics in a lot of marriages have shifted considerably so this could arguably be considered an educational film.
