A Man Got Into A Fight While Waiting In Line For An In-N-Out Burger And Then Got Heinously Pantsed

Are the Double Double and animal-style fries really worth it?

In-N-Out Burger might suggest and easy breezy, quick in and quick out process but the infamous California chain failed to live up to it hype last week. The burger joint recently opened up its first location in Colorado and quickly met a a 14-hour-long line. Of course, it didn’t take long for tempers to flair and for customers hoping for a quick bite of relief to lose their patience.

Two locations opened in Colorado over the weekend, one in Colorado Springs and one in Aurora.

The Aurora location saw a wait of up to 14 hours.

The wait got so bad that at one point the Aurora Police Department tweeted a warning about the drive-thru wait times. “It’s gonna be double-double traffic this week on E. Alameda at Sable & Abilene as many descend upon us for their first Colorado bite of In-n-Out burgers! Check out the not-so-secret menu for those rookies out there. Plz avoid this area to avoid traffic delays in the coming days.,” the department wrote in a tweet.

The wait reached 12 hours by the time it came around to 4:30 p.m. on the opening day. Ultimately, police waited for issues to occur as the thousands of eager eaters waited in line. And they weren’t let down.

A video shared to Twitter revealed that a group got caught up in an all out tussle next to their cars while enduring the wait. Things got so bad that at one point a man involved in the fight lost his pants. According to the person who recorded the video the fight occurred after one of the drivers refused to let a car in front of him in line. The car snuck in anyways.

It didn’t take long for Double Double trouble to break out.

In the video shared to Twitter the group can be seen fighting next by their cars. Punches or thrown kicks are delivered and at one point one of the men loses his pants. A fifth person (identified by the person who captured the video as In-N-Out security) eventually came up to break up the fight.

No other fights reportedly occurred that day and by Saturday police tweeted that lines subsided to nearly 8 hours. Still, we can only hope killer fast food cravings don’t continue to erupt into all out violence. You might remember that last year in November a similar brawl occurred at a Popeye’s in Oxon Hill, Maryland, when two customers got into an argument over line-cutting. Both has been waiting to order the restaurant’s popular chicken sandwich and one man was fatally stabbed.
