A Former Marine In Las Vegas Allegedly Pulled A Gun On A Latino When He Drove Down Her Street

Since President Trump’s election, there has been a well-documented uptick in hate crimes and discrimination against people of color and minorities. An employee called the cops on two black men for sitting at a Starbucks; a white woman called the cops on black people barbecuing at the park; a New York lawyer went on a rant against people speaking Spanish; and a border agent targeted two Latinas as undocumented because they were speaking Spanish in Montana. Now, there is a report of a woman in Las Vegas pulling a gun on a Latino man for driving down her street.

James Ochoa posted on Facebook about an encounter he had with a white woman while he was driving on her street in Las Vegas.

Ochoa says that the woman — who’s been identified as Summer Berlinger by The Root — yelled at him to get off her street. He alleges he didn’t do anything to her.

Some of the encounter was recorded on video.

Ochoa also said that they eventually called the police on her because he did have witnesses pf the altercation and now they have a court date.

“I am fighting against her cause I had to leave work for 2 days & it’s not right what she did,” reads his Facebook post.

The woman in the video — a former Marine turned party planner — posted on social media that the man is a liar.

According to Newsweek, the Las Vegas police said they are investigating the incident and did confiscate three guns.

At this time, no arrests have been made,” Las Vegas police Officer Larry Hadfield said in an email to Newsweek. “During the course of the initial investigation, three firearms were impounded for safekeeping until the investigation is complete.”
