21 Funniest, Savage Memes About Trump’s Precious Wall

Fam, nobody is emotionally prepared for another presidential campaign season, but nobody is unraveling in such spectacular fashion as President Trump. Of course, everyone expects him to be the Republican pick (if he isn’t impeached or indicted first), and Trump is doing everything he can to appeal to the base that elected him. We’re two years into his presidency and there has been no progress on his biggest campaign promise: Build The Wall.

In order to get congressional approval to build the most useless piece of infrastructure our country needs, Trump has created a fake crisis at the border. He’s gone so far as to declare a national emergency, quickly followed by a weekend spent golfing at Mar-o-Lago. The internet quickly spit out the most ruthless, hilarious memes our world deserves. This is how we cope.

First, we point out the obvious:

@DarthContinent / Instagram

Photoshop is our friend. When reality is fugly, at least Adobe makes it funnier. Honestly, though, a majority of Americans are against the building of a border wall along the southern border.

Then, we romance:

@RobertoOrona91 / Twitter

Yup, that would get me, too. “I’m going to write our names in The Wall.” *shiver* No one wants their legacy attached to an ancient system of border security that has failed time and time again. Move on, Trump. The border wall is an ill-conceived solution to a problem that does not exist.

While Americans are screaming over our taxes, Mexicans are chilling. ????

@political_progressive / Instagram

Remember when Trump said he was going to make Mexico pay for The Wall? ????Now that that’s over, the joke’s on Trump and the world is laughing.

Because, truthfully, The Wall does nothing to address the reasons people are seeking asylum in the first place.

me.me / Facebook

Oh, and all of this is pure populism and nationalism at its worst. Every era has a scapegoat and this era of authoritarianism is targeting Muslims and immigrants, especially Central American immigrants.

It is a laughable (and very expensive) bandaid solution to a fake problem.

We’re in peak low years of illegal immigration. All of this is fake news to the max. There is no crisis at the border other that the crisis being created at the border by the Trump administration. All this presidency has been able to do is tell people they aren’t allowed in breaking international asylum laws.

The best memes point to the hypocrisy of it all.

@Mikey_Immuno / Twitter

Liiiike, Flint still doesn’t have clean water and we’re going to use billions of tax dollars to essentially fuel a political campaign for Trump’s re-election? Nope, no thank you, te boté.

Some of the most viral ‘memes’ are just the American consciousness at full blast.

@RichardAngwin / Instagram

Forcing Americans who serve the federal government to have to go to work without getting paid until POTUS ends his tantrum is not in the service of the American people. That’s right. Trump forced a government shutdown to get his wall funding, the longest shutdown in U.S. history, and lost. All he managed to do was make people’s lives worse, over the holidays, for his vanity project.

Let’s never forget the exposé on Trump’s own undocumented employees.

@LenParis1 / Twitter

The New York Times did an excellent exposé that featured Trump’s personal house cleaner, an undocumented immigrant from Central America who he was on jovial terms with until he launched his campaign. They eventually fired her after he became President.

TBH, some of the best memes play off Trump’s childish temperament.

@Bill_Maxwell_ / Instagram

The American people and the rest of the world cannot stop laughing at Trump and his administration. Honestly. Look up major international speeches the president has made and listen closely for all the laughs and uncomfortable silences. They are aplenty.

We laugh at any meme comparing Trump to a Cheeto though. ????

@Milliennial / Instagram

Quiere llorar! Quiere llorar! Quiere llorar! Poor man is sad because the American people continue to be against his border wall. It is not okay. It is not going to work. It is a waste of taxpayer dollars and there is no emergency.

The frailty of Trump’s ego is in open season.

@christineelisemccarthy / Instagram

Bruise Trump’s ego? He’ll assert his power to get you fired, deported, or just straight mock you in front of crowds of people.

The bottom line here is that Trump’s campaign promises are all a fallacy.

Deniszim / Facebook

Points to him for pulling out every possible card and failing anyway. Max, this is what we can expect for a wall.

So liike, what has POTUS even done?

Guy has the highest turnover rate than any other President, meaning he can barely accomplish the bare minimum of his presidential duties.

Sofia Vergara’s face says it all for Internet America.

It’s like, we know you exist because, DONALD TRUMP IS PRESIDENT. But it’s different when we come face to face. It makes my face do crazy things.

We good, now. We good.

So much cheaper. AOC, you going to submit the proposal o que?

These whales helped us all transcend the metaphysical.

What about someone who is clinically obsessed with turning a social construct into an actual physical structure? I’m weary.

So gun control isn’t a national emergency, even though children are now routinely practicing ‘active shooter’ drills along with natural disaster drills? That should not be a naturally occurring event.

No walls on stolen land.

@tireishanicole / Instagram

This is all colonialism at its best. White people stealing land, stealing power and pointing to brown people as ‘the other’ and the threat. Plot twist: America is a threat to humanity.

And then there are the pragmatists who truly have no f*cks to give about a wall.

@coritamexi / Instagram

There are people who exist who have lukewarm feelings about immigration and are raging about the pothole they’re driving over cada mañana. Fair enough. At least that pothole is real.

Then there’s this pot of gold:

@latinorebels / Instagram

A video was uncovered of Trump giving a commencement speech in 2004 during which he literally says, “If there’s a concrete wall in front of you, go through it, go over it, go around it. Do whatever you have to do, but get over that wall.” ✊✊✊We can’t even credit Photoshop. That was all Trump.

It’s safe to say we’re all safe from this national emergency.

@lauramask / Instagram

But not so safe from Trump’s delusions. He won’t acknowledge climate change or California burning up in flames, but he sees a Mexican and orders ICE to pepper spray them. We are not a threat. You are, POTUS.
