Here’s What You Can Do If You’re Feeling Helpless Over The Las Vegas Shooting

Just after 10 p.m. last night on the Las Vegas strip, a gunman unloaded multiple rounds into a crowd of thousands during a music festival, killing more than 50 people and injuring hundreds more. The death toll as of now is at 58, but that number is expected to increase. The gunman has been identified as Stephen Paddock, a 64-year-old white male who killed himself before authorities could get to him. It is being reported that this tragic event is now the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history.

Authorities raided a room at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, which is where they found Paddock dead among “in excess of 10 rifles.” The shooting occurred during the set of country singer Jason Aldean at the Route 91 Harvest festival.

While the investigation of this horrific event has clearly just begun, authorities have said that the shooter acted alone and that the motive is unknown.

If you have yet to hear from your friends and loved ones that were at the festival, here’s the number to call for information:
