The Hola Mexico Film Festival Is Mexico’s Biggest Film Festival And It’s Almost Here

If we’ve learned anything in the last few years, it’s that Mexico knows how to make great movies. Earlier this year, ‘Roma’ dominated many Academy Award categories and took Oscars home in Best Director and Best Foreign Film categories.

Want to experience some of Mexico’s movie magic? Well, you’re in luck.

The Hola Mexico Film Festival is the largest Mexican film festival held outside of Mexico.

This year’s festival is taking place in Los Angeles — the heart of the film industry. This year’s festival begins June 1st through June 9th. Purchase your festival pass to gain access to the opening night screening and party as well as the closing night screening and concert. Both events are for 21 and over audiences and can be enjoyed at Regal Cinemas at LA Live, Cinépolis Pico Rivera and The Montalbán Theatre.

The 11th edition of the Hola Film Festival will open with the Los Angeles premiere of ‘The Good Girls’ (Las Niñas Bien).

The film, directed by Alejandra Márquez Abella, is a satirical critique of Mexico’s bourgeoisie class. The event takes place at the Montalbán Theatre in the heart of Hollywood and is followed by a star-studded afterparty.
