“I feel like I’m looking into the faces of the future and it gives me deep hope to see how open, how alive and how positive that future could be,” Nyong’ o said, according to ABC. “When I look into this room I see problem solvers. I see creative thinkers. I see activists. But most importantly I see women who are learning how to learn and learners change the world.”

The girls have been nurturing quail and selling the quail eggs to people in their community. It’s a way for them to provide fresh food and also raise money for their program.

“Being a quail guardian has taught me respect and responsibility and just how to be a better person in general,” student McKynzie Spearman said, according to ABC.

Check out the moment that Nyong’o walked to surprise the students.

Her words will remain with them forever. You can see in the faces of the girls that their life changed by being praised by someone they have immense respect for.
