Lizzo Fans Did Some Digging And Found Out That Lizzo Once Did A Holiday Song And It Totally Slaps

Mariah Carey has dubbed it official, the holiday tunes season is here and it’s time to blast al of the jingle bell rocks and adoring songs about Santa. On the heels of the chanteuse’s announcement, Black queen and power songstress Lizzo has announced that she is ready to have her music inducted into the Christmas canon.

In a post to her Twitter page earlier this week, the “Truth Hurts” singer informed fans that she has a Christmas Song.

In celebration of the Christmas season, Lizzo shared with friends on Twitter that she intact has a Christmas song by writing “I HAVE A CHRISTMAS SONG.”

Sí mi gente, it turns out the maker of some of the best lyrics gone viral this year has an actual honest-to-god Christmas album. The sad news is that your sorry ears are kind of late to the game. It’s true, the singer released a delightful song for the cuffing-season anthem, a song called “Never Felt Like Christmas,” way back in 2015. The festive and romantic song contains sees Lizzo sing about “Sugar plums and candy canes, they did nothing for me / You could find me home alone and ordering Chinese / But now I save that old fruit cake ’cause there’s enough for two / It never felt like Christmas ’til I spent it with you.”

PLEASE SANTA let Lizzo release a 2019 Part II of the song because we need the holiday beats!

The holiday bop might not be particularly new, but it is new to fans who have only recently come to adore the singer this year.

In her 2015 song, Lizzo shares a song that speaks to the charming and exhausting aspects of the Christmas season including “carolers singing off-key” and “50-something street.”

Speaking about the song, Lizzo shared with fans on her Youtube Channel her reason for originally writing the holiday beat.

“I’ve always loved Christmas music. Working in retail deferred my love for it, but time heals all wounds. Ricky Reed and I really enjoyed ourselves in the studio trying to reimagine the modern-day Christmas love story. Not everybody’s in the Christmas spirit these days, but love can give even the biggest Scrooge a little holiday cheer.” the singer wrote. ”

Fans of Lizzo are already rooting for her song to be a classic, just like a certain Christmas Queen who came before her.

“Best Christmas pop song in a long time! Brilliant! I’m fa-la-la-la-ling in love with this song!” one user wrote in the comments section of her song’s post.

Still waiting for this gem to be on spotify. Also waiting for Lizzo to come to Montreal ????,” Shadey.xo said in another comment.

Another sweet post commented I like this song. But I don’t know the lyrics. Please tell me the lyrics for studying English. Thank you..” Which TBH listening to Lizzo to learn English is the sweetest thing.

There’s no doubt, Lizzo has a knack for turning words into a number one hit.

Not long before Lizzo took a DNA test that revealed she was in fact, 100 percent that b*tch, sis left her heartbroken like the rest of us mortals. Turns out that shitty ex-boyfriends happen even to the best of us.

In case you missed it, Lizzo got personal with Billboard and revealed that the song actually came from a bad breakup. The singer-rapper-flutist disclosed that “Truth Hurts” —an anthem against good-for-nothing men—came from heartbreak and tears; “That’s how hit records are made. They’re made from the heart. They’re made from tears. They’re made from fears. And they’re made from happy endings.”

Lizzo went into the studio after receiving an upsetting voicemail and didn’t even want to be there.

The singer told Billboard that when she went into the studio to record, two years ago, she had just been dumped…over the phone, and didn’t even want to be there. “I was so upset and depressed and sad,” she remembers. The singer went on to retell how she had just received a voicemail from a guy telling her not to call him anymore because he was getting back together with his ex. Gives more meaning to the words “Don’t text me, tell it straight to my face,” right?

As Lizzo was telling producer Ricky Reed all about the Minnesota Vikings player in her DMs and having to wash her ex out of her hair, she noticed as she was talking, that Reed was writing. When she asked what he was doing, he replied, “I hope you know you just wrote a song.” Everything fell into place from there.
