Shakira has been widely known for her amazing dance skills, vocals, and of course her signature hip movements. But her music in the 1990’s and early 2000’s was so much more than “Hips Don’t Lie.”

1. Magia, 1991
Released in June, 1991, “Magia” was the song Shakira named her very first album after. At 13 years old, Shakira’s amazing vocals gave us an indication of the pop star she would soon become. Check out the full music video here.
2. Necesito De Ti, 1991
Also on her very first album was this fun and upbeat song called, “Necesito De Ti.” And if you can’t already tell by her album cover, it had a very hip, 90’s feel to it.
3. Eres, 1993
Just two years after the release of “Magia,” Shakira was back at it again with her second album release, “Peligro.” Here she is at 15 years old, representing Colombia at the International “Festival de la Canción de Viña del Mar” competition.
4. Antologia, 1995
As Shakira started gaining recognition worldwide, she immediately released her third album, “Pies Descalzos.” Check out her spot-on vocals as she performed “Antologia” live, in front of hundreds of people.
