After Beyonce Fans Dragged Carlos Santana For Throwing Shade At Her, He Kind Of Backtracked With A New Statement

Legendary musician Carlos Santana is scrambling to clarify the comments he made in regards to Beyoncé’s Grammy snub. ICYMI, here’s how it went down:

When Adele accepted the Grammy for Album of the Year for 25, she told the audience it was Beyoncé who deserved the award for her album Lemonade.

And Beyoncé couldn’t hold back the tears.

Most people seemed to agree with Adele’s statement – except for maybe Carlos Santana, who said this to the Australian Associated Press:

“I think that Adele won because she can sing, sing,” Santana said. “With all respect to our sister Beyoncé, Beyoncé is very beautiful to look at and it’s more like modeling kind of music — music to model a dress — she’s not a singer, singer, with all respect to her… Adele can sing, sing. She doesn’t bring all the dancers and props, she can just stand there and she just stood there and sang the song and that’s it, and this is why she wins.”

As expected, the Beyhive came swarming after him.

People were afraid something had happened to him.

Others were basically warning him before something did happen.

People were *done* with him.

Someone pulled up the facts to remind him he performed onstage with Queen B in the past.

Following all of this, Santana came forward to clear the air:

Hmm… think the Beyhive will forgive him?
