There’s A New Video For ‘Havana’ And It Feels Like A Private Video Camila Cabello Shot With Her Friends
Momentum behind Camila Cabello’s hit “Havana” has been getting hotter by the minute. Back in August, the former Fifth Harmony member released the song ahead of the debut of her first solo-album. “Havana” has seen a slow but steady growth amongst fans ever since. At end of October, the singer dropped a music video for the song and its popularity erupted. As of this week, the song is topping the Billboard Hot 100 Charts at the No. 2 spot. And just when we thought it couldn’t get any bigger, Cabello released an additional video for the song. In just 24 hrs, the vertically-shot video has garnered over 1 million views.
Here’s a *very* brief breakdown of the video.
The video starts with a close shot of the singer in front of a red background.CamilaCabelloVEVO / YouTube
It’s eventually revealed to be an actual ad for “Havana.” And how did we not figure this out?
Soon, Cabello and her squad make it on the train and do some good old-fashioned synchronized seated dancing.CamilaCabelloVEVO / YouTube
Who hasn’t done this before while riding the train with their friends? Usually it is at 2 a.m. after the clubs are out, but the theory is still the same.
By the end, the whole thing leads into a random dance break on the train featuring Cabello’s suave dance moves.CamilaCabelloVEVO / YouTube
The rest of the video includes more dancing, shots of Cabello staring out of train’s window, and her walking up and down the platform dancing to the rhythms of a street performer. All in all, the video makes a nice addition to the continued collection of “Havana” content.
