These High School Soccer Players Are Going Viral After Choreographing A Quince Dance And It’s Actually Pretty Good

We all know that having a perfect quinceañera takes a hell of a lot of effort. And also, that Murphy’s Law is a thing, hindsight is 20/20 vision, so there’s probably many things that you think you would probably do differently if you were doing your quince a second time around. Chances are, the first thing you would do would be get this soccer team on the case for designing your quinceañera routine, since it’s pretty much the definition of fire.

First, let’s start with the soccer team in question.

How long does it take a bored soccer team to create a quince routine? And no, this isn’t the start of a joke, or a riddle. This particular boy’s soccer team took only two minutes to choreograph a full routine! We’re pretty sure there’s gotta be some real proper teamwork coming from these guys, to put together a dance so quickly. Our other theory is that at least one person on the team knows how to dance. But, we digress.

A video of the routine surfaced on Twitter earlier this week, and it’s already been viewed more than 500,000 times.

It shows the boy’s soccer team dancing to “El vals de las mariposas,” taking us through the quinceañero dancing with everyone on the court. And while they’ve definitely got skill, the real draw was the boys’ enthusiasm for the dance. At the end of the day, it’s not really a proper celebration without happy partygoers, right?

The reactions on Twitter said it all: the team definitely impressed.

Some knew that the team was onto something – and wanted to know why they just saw something that was better than most quinces they had attended.

Some on the team were upset they missed the now viral sensation.

One team member was left out of the whole affair, since he had decided to go home before the real fun started. Clearly he missed out! Here’s hoping the team can adjust the routine and include their last team member. Or even better – that all of them get to use their routine at an actual quince.

One word: flashback!

Other Twitter users had flashbacks to the days when their mom was yelling at her and her friends. Apparently the quince practice sessions were a bit too much for that family!

Others pointed out the strong message of confidence and security being shared in this video.

One sharp Tweet pointed out that this is exactly the sort of thing that we should be seeing from boys who are secure in themselves. We love a little commentary on gender.

Is there any way we can hire this soccer team to make a quince routine for us?

If you’re really starved for choice, then you could always review their version of a quinceañera dance floor after a few drinks! Which, okay, still doesn’t solve the problem of putting together a fire quinceañera routine. At this stage, we haven’t seen any offers from the guys to turn their dancing abilities into a fully-fledged business, but who knows! It may be just a matter of time.

That being said, there are a bunch of different ways you can mix it up at a quinceañera!

This father-daughter duo took the chance to show their waltzing skills to a haunting, mystical Enya tune. It definitely gave the impression of princess dancing in a fairytale! It’s definitely one way to keep quinceañera guests entranced.

Seriously, YouTube is full of Quince inspiration!

This crew knew one hundred percent what they were doing when they came up with this quince choreography. We can easily envisage the birthday girl getting in on a routine like this one – although the quinceañero in this case decided to sit it out and watch the show in this video.

Umm…can I go back in time and celebrate a quince like this, please?

It doesn’t get much more extra than this quinceañera routine! We’re guessing that everyone involved must have been either part of a hip hop dance crew, a cheerleading team, or spent hours putting together the dance!

So what was your quinceañera routine like – and how long did it take for you to learn it? Tell us about it on our Facebook page!
