Thanks To Your Latino Family Full Of Procrastinators, This Is Why You Can Never Make It To A Family Party On Time
When you live with a family full of unorganized procrastinators, your chances of making it on time to a dinner reservation, doctor’s appointment, wedding, or anything at all, are slim to none.
No matter how hard you try to be prompt, this is what ends up happening…
Party planners should be warned: Latinos don’t really do RSVPs very well.
Sent out invites & got 2 RSVPs. I'm ordering 1 table with 5 chairs & dinner for 5. I guess the other 95 are busy???? #HispanicFamily never RSVP

They basically don’t exist.
Since your family doesn’t really understand how RSVPs work, people should be prepared to have a few extra guests show up…just in case.
This is especially important when it comes to ordering food.
Failing to send in an RSVP is sometimes the result of losing the invitation, which can lead to last minute gift shopping.
And if you don’t have the time to go buy a gift, then you’ll end up having to scribble something onto a birthday card on the drive over there and throw in a $20 bill.
But if you’re not late to the party because of last minute shopping, then you’re late because your family decides to start getting ready 10 minutes before the time you’re supposed to be there.
This is me. And my family hates me for it.
So no matter how hard you try to get organized, chances are 99.9% of the time you and your family will be late. Very, very late.
This is why making dinner reservations is always a fail.
So party planners, if the party starts at 3, tell everyone it starts at 1:30.
Then for once, your family might actually show up on time.
