Make Your Super Bowl Party The Talk Of Your Friends With These Delicious Snacks

If you’re like me when the Super Bowl rolls around, you only care about two things: the commercials and the food. So let’s get down to business. Whether you are hosting a Super Bowl party or bringing a dish to a hangout, unless you don’t mind everyone thinking you’re tacky as heck, you better not just come in with a six-pack and Dorritos. Spice things up by bringing an impressive dish.

The Super Bowl isn’t a random football game; it’s the game of all games, so you have to wow everyone around you with amazing food. Not just any type. Say goodbye to deviled eggs and buffalo wings. I’m talking delicious Latin cuisine that is easy to make and even better to eat.

Taquitos

Kiwilimon

You cannot go wrong with a fried tortilla. These taquitos, however, are made with potatoes rather than meat, so your vegetarian friends won’t make a fuss. Make sure you use Mexican cheese and crema for the topping.

Individual 7-Layer Dips

Old El Paso

Parties are infamous for including the 7-layer dip. This recipe, however, isn’t served in a big grandma style casserole but rather in individual cups. This way people can take the dip and watch the game, and it’s less messy.

Nachos

Nachos are probably the best thing to eat at any game. Create these nachos with carne asada, beans, tomatoes, and Mexican crema, which is available at any grocery store.

Salsa

The Chunky Chef

There’s no way you can be at a party without serving salsa. It is an easy recipe that anyone can make. Why not try your hand at creating a guaranteed show stopper at this year’s Super Bowl party.

Carne Asada Fries

Pinterest

One of my favorite things to eat when I visit San Diego is scarfing down some mean carne asada fries. That area is famous for it! This recipe is relatively easy to make. You have a nacho recipe but without the chips. Also, you don’t want to include beans in this recipe because it’ll make the fry soggy.

Guacamole Dip With Lemon

How Sweet Eats

The texture in which you like to consume guacamole is an individual thing. Do you want it chunky, smooth, spicy, or mild? I love all kinds of guacamole, but mainly I like it with lots of lemons.

Taco Buffet

Pinterest

If you tell people that you’re going to be serving Latin food during the Super Bowl game, they’re certainly going to think that you’ll have tacos. Instead of serving tacos the old fashion way (already made), why not let them make their tacos? But each topping in its bowl, serve various kinds of meats, and you’re done!

Sweet Plantains

Pinterest

Your Super Bowl party will need something sweet. Instead of serving cookies or boring brownies, why not cook some plantains?

Frijoles Borrachos

Pinterest

I love beans, but sometimes they can be kind of dull. So rather than serve pinto or black pins, why not serve them drunk? Okay, that sounds weird, but frijoles borrachos — or frijoles charros — are so much better, especially for a party. They have so much more flavor and can be eaten with chips or a spoon. It’s up to you!

Queso Dip

Chew Out Loud

Your Super Bowl party must have a side of queso — melted Mexican cheese — which is very different from typical nacho cheese that you’ll find at a baseball game. Remember to spice up your queso, so it stands out. Add jalapenño, red pepper, and green onions.

Mexican Chili Beans

Pinterest

Here’s another way to serve up tasty beans. This recipe takes regular chili beans and kicks up a notch (with corn, various kinds of beans, and lots of spices).

Nacho Bites

Pinterest

If you’re already serving nachos, don’t bother with this recipe. However, if your guests are a little more sophisticated, these nacho bites are the way to go. They’re not as messy and so cute! Even better to eat.

Ceviche With Crackers

If you have time on your hands to create something extraordinary, I highly suggest giving your guests some seafood via a tangy and flavorful appetizer.

Mini Quesadillas

You cannot fail with quesadillas. If you serve them in small triangles, people can eat them as chips, or top them with all sorts of toppings. I suggest you make the quesadillas with Oaxacan cheese.

Mexican Potato Chips

Pinterest

Alright, if you want to bring something super easy or if you don’t want to fuss with much, serve chips. Not any kind of chip, obviously, but Latino chips that are extra spicy or full of lemon.

Cucumbers Con Sal Y Limon

Pinterest

For a healthier kind of treat cucumbers with salt and lemon are very tasty. So tasty in fact, you will have someone drink the leftover juice from the plate. It’s effortless to make.

Mini Tamales

Pinterest

Again, if you have time to cook something more special these mini tamales will undoubtedly be a hit at your Super Bowl party. Think of the tamales you eat during the holiday, but smaller.

Fresas Con Crema

Pinterest

For those people who love sweet things, this easy to make strawberries with cream dessert is so yummy. You need heavy cream, strawberries, and sugar.

Burrito Bowl Bar

Pinterest

If you’re on a low-carb diet like me (ugh!) and still want to eat your heart out, come Sunday, this burrito bar will be your best friend. Put every burrito ingredient you can think of in its bowl (onions, lettuce, tomato, meat, cheese, etc.) and let people create their burrito bowl. They can add chips if they want!

Mini Burritos

Pinterest

Now, of those who don’t mind eating a tortilla, you can also serve mini-style burritos, making them easier to eat. All you need is your burrito toppings and the mini flour tortillas.

Now enjoy the food— and the game!
