“Estas personas son maleducadas, y están peleando con un niño de doce años.”

The boy in the video above stood his ground when a grown man tried to verbally shout over him about his disdain for illegal immigration.

The 12-year-old activist from the video, Joseph Moreno, addressed the people in attendance at a city council meeting held in Huntington Park last Tuesday, where one notorious pro-Trump troll had to be escorted out by police. Afterward, another Trump supporter felt the need to shout at the attendees of the council meeting, while wearing a Trump flag and shouting anti-immigrant ideologies.

At one point, he yelled “American! American!” at the boy, who said, “Yes, I was born here, but my family is from Mexico.” The man continued to shout, “Do you even vote over there?” The boy had to remind the screaming man “I’d vote right now, but I can’t because I’m 12!”

The man claimed his mother “wasn’t upset” when President Trump said Mexico was sending their worst at the start of his presidential campaign. When Moreno quoted Trump’s hateful speech about Mexican’s being “rapists and drug dealers,” the unnamed man shouted back at him: “Are you a drug dealer and a rapist?” Moreno tried to get in a word, saying “I’m not…” before being interrupted by the adult man, who was recording him and pointing aggressively at him while shouting, “Then why are you putting that jacket on?”

This angle captured by someone else shows the man shouting “American! American!”

MUST WATCH! love this boy so much! ❤️. He gave an amazing speech at the podium at Huntington Park City Council Meeting. Mark my words.. he is a future leader! ✊??❤️

The video also captures a woman on the side both praising the boy for being smart and not understanding really at all what he stands for, saying, “He’ll make a fine conservative Republican some day.” I guess she and I were watching two separate videos because this boy was clearly not on her side.

This story was brought to the attention of mitú by someone in attendance at the meeting who said, “These Trump supporters are showing up to our council meetings and harassing us (Latino community) including this little boy, Joseph Moreno.”

Women In Mexico Marched For International Women’s Day And Things Got Violent

March 8 is International Women’s Day. It is a day to celebrate women but in Mexico it is a protest against the rampant femicide gripping the country. Women marched against the femicide this year and things turned violent when police clashed with protesters.

March 8 has a different meaning in Mexico.

Women in Mexico took to the streets to protest the rampant femicides that are devastating the country. According to the New York Times, femicides in Mexico have been increasing in recent years. There was a 10 percent increase from 2018 to 2019 with a total of 1,006 incidents of reported femicide.

In 2017, there were seven femicides a day and by 2019 the number had jumped to 10.

“Women are demanding a shift of paradigm and nothing less,” Estefanía Vela, executive director of Intersecta, told the New York Times. “These are not only hashtags. These are students protesting at the universities, and mothers demanding justice for their daughters.”

People on social media are amplifying the cause by sharing what is happening.

President Andrés Manuel López Obrador has made it a part of his presidency to downplay the extent of the crisis. At times, AMLO has gone on record dismissing claims of widespread femicide in Mexico.

“I’m going to give you another fact, which doesn’t mean that violence against women doesn’t exist, because I don’t want you all to misinterpret me,” AMLO said during a daily morning presser in May. “Ninety percent of those calls that serve as your base are false, it’s proven.”

Women are not allowing for the narrative of false reports to persist and are standing up to highlight the crisis. People are criticizing AMLO and his administration for seemingly turning a blind eye to the deadly crisis.

This year’s protest had more anger after the death of Ingrid Escamilla.

Escamilla was murdered in February 2020 by her domestic partner. Her body was mutilated by the attacker in a violent way. The press ran the photos of her body on the front page and sparked anger around the world. After being murdered, her body was displayed for the public to see and people are tired of women being treated so poorly.

“He was supposed to represent a change and it turns out that he is not,” Xóchitl Rodríguez, a member of Feminasty, told the New York Times. “The fact that you wake up in the morning and your president cannot reassure you on what specific actions he is taking to deal with the issue, is outrageous.”

Rihanna Hilariously Took A Jab At Trump While Taking Out The Trash On Inauguration Day— ‘I’m just here to help’

Rihanna Hilariously Took A Jab At Trump While Taking Out The Trash On Inauguration Day— ‘I’m just here to help’

Rihanna just proved that she’s capable of just about anything. Last week, the class act proved that she can class up even the trashiest of things. While on a walk to the curb with bags of trash the singer rocked diamonds and a pair of satin pink peep-toe heels and gloves in a pointed jab at former President Trump.

She might be a star but Rihanna isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty when it comes to taking out the trash on behalf of President Joe Biden.

Last Wednesday, the singer and fashion designer celebrated Biden’s inauguration and Trump’s exit with a silly post on her Instagram page. Dressed in stilettos, the “Love On The Brain” singer carried two bags of garbage out to the curb with a caption that read “I’m just here to help #WeDidItJoe.”

The comment was a clear nod to Vice President Kamala Harris and President Biden’s historic win and their ultimate swearing-in last week.

Dressed in a vintage tee-shirt reading ‘End Racism By Any Means Necessary’ Rihanna threw some shade and the trash away.

Continuing to throw shade in the caption, Rihanna added: ‘I’m just here to help.’ The singer has proven herself to be an ultimate fan of the Biden-Harris ticket. Last year when they won the election she tweeted about their win writing “The faces of history makers, boundary breakers, and WINNERS!!CONGRATULATIONS to you both, and mostly to the American people!! So much work to do, so much hurt to undo! Let’s GO! I’m so proud of you America!”

Fortunately, it looks like Rihanna is showing no signs of slowing down her celebrations this year.

On Sunday, the Savage x Fenty owner shared a video of herself dancing in a hotel room while sporting some of her own line’s lingerie.

After doing some twerks and showing off a Savage x Fenty dotted mesh skirt, and a set of matching gloves, RiRi gave fans a fun Valentine’s Day champagne toast.

“Cupid could NEVA!” she captioned her post. “#ValentinesDayCountdown.”
