Lawn Mowing Company Issued Racist Business Cards, Now Claims They’re Getting Death Threats

The increasing percentage of Latinos who work in the landscaping and lawn mowing business has become a positive factor for a progressing economy in the United States. However, with the continuing negative rhetoric against Latinos that comes from the Trump Administration, these landscapers and gardeners are now more openly being discriminated against. One company in particular is attempting to stop the domination of Latinos doing yard work.

A Texas-based lawn mowing company is facing backlash after their business card with the quote “Your Alternative to Illegal Lawn Services” went viral.

The card in question went viral on social media and was posted to their Yelp business page. People got upset over the racist tagline and also because it says “Taking back Carrollton — One lawn at a time.”

Mijente — a grassroots organization — urged their followers to leave negative reviews on their Yelp page.

Due to an overwhelming response, Yelp is now reviewing every comment left on the page and will delete any they find is not a truthful review.

The business owner says the picture of the business card is from three years ago and was never meant to be released to the public. Here’s an image of their most recent card.

Jeff Hinkle, the owner of the lawn company, says he and his family have gotten death threats over the old business card.

“Many card samples were made up to determine which wording would be used to let customers know there are legitimate, honest, tax paying lawn services with excellent credentials and verifiable backgrounds,” Hinkle said in a statement to a CBS News affiliate.

However, Mow Masters is also receiving support for their business motto.

While their website is now out of service, and the number on the card is not working, Hinkle did respond to a negative review on Yelp in which he said that he has a son with “brown skin.”

“If you read the entire card, it has to do with Honest American Business [sic] who operate within the law,” Hinkle said, according to The Dallas Observer. Customers want verifiable credentials when hiring. BTW, my wife is Hispanic [deceased] and my son has brown skin.”

He goes on to say: “The race card is over played and doesn’t work anymore. Most people don’t want to hire people who don’t exist on paper.”

White Couple Goes Home Shirtless After They Tried To Come For Latinos By Calling Them ‘Beaners’ During Road Rage Incident

White Couple Goes Home Shirtless After They Tried To Come For Latinos By Calling Them ‘Beaners’ During Road Rage Incident

We’ve all experienced road rage at least once in our lifetime. If you commute every day, then it’s probably more of a daily occurrence. The way you choose to deal with the road rage could result in damage to your mental state, to your car, or the other driver. We’ve seen countless of stories in which a simple case of road rage can turn deadly, or plain ugly.

A white couple pulled over to confront a Latino couple in a terrible case of road rage where things escalated quickly.

We’re not sure what transpired before the passengers in the video began recording. What is clear is that the white couple pulled ahead of them (on the freeway), stopped the car and began to come at the Latino family aggressively.

You can hear the passengers calling the police way before the white couple even steps out of the car.

The white woman approached the Latino family and it seemed things only got worse after the white lady referred to them as “beaners.”

That is when all hell broke loose. It’s as if the white couple had no idea that this Latino couple would retaliate against them, and did they ever.

The white couple backed off only after the Latino couple went after them physically after calling them beaners.

This is a new fighting tactic we have never seen, at least when it comes to road rage. The Latino couple was not going to let the other family get away without a proper fight.

Here’s how people on social media reacted to the instance of racism that led to this point.

So it’s officially true: women have the first and last word, always.

The white couple sure had a loud bark but not much of a bite.

The fear was clear once they got close enough to see who was in the car. Before that, it was clear that the first couple to get out of the car was ready to throw down.

Whoever was recording could be the next Martin Scorsese.

The 911 operator was trying his best to find out what was going on but it is hard to understand the person giving directions.

When you get pushed to the edge so often, you will break at some point.

At least they have a recording that proves the other couple started it.

In the end, people on social media are siding with the Latino family caught up in the road rage incident.

Violence is never the answer but it is important to be ready to defend yourself. Honestly. this father was ready to defend his family.

A lot of people saw the whole situation as a no-win situation given the current state of our government and distrust in police.

That is why we have to keep recording at all times.

Here’s the entire video below.

What would you have done in this situation?

Georgia Clark allegedly thought she was sending private tweets directly to President Trump. The educator was trying to alert the president to what she perceived as a take over by “illegal” students in her school district. Now, the teacher with enough time to tweet about students she didn’t like has more time to tweet after being fired for her unsavory social media activity.

Clark sent a series of tweets to President Trump asking for help in removing “illegal” students from the Fort Worth Independent School District (FWISD). According to Clark, FWISD is “loaded with illegal students from Mexico” with the high school she teaches in being “taken over by them.” She insinuated that the presence of these students led to drug dealers moving unimpeded on the campus.

News of her termination is being met with approval from the national community.

According to NBC News, Clark’s tweets first started to get attention last week and she deleted her Twitter account on May 29 trying to hide the tweets. However, at that time, the school district had become aware of her tweets and she was placed on administrative leave.

The FWISD held a special board meeting to vote on Clark’s employment and her termination was a unanimous decision.

The 8-0 vote cemented Clark’s fate in the educational system of Fort Worth. According to The New York Times, all of the attendees who chose to speak at the special meeting spoke against Clark. There were no meeting attendees that defended Clark and her inappropriate tweets. Clark’s supporters appear to all be online behind screens and keyboards.

This is not the first time Clark has been in trouble with the school system because of her racist language.

School records show that the educator used racist terminology against students of color in her classrooms since 2013. The teacher, who has been teaching in the district since 1998, once separated the students in her class by race seating Mexican students on one side and Black and white students on the other. She then reportedly said the Mexican students were Mexico and the white and Black students were America.

Most people who have seen the story as holding firm that she should be barred from teaching.

Clark is reportedly seeking a hearing from the Texas Education Agency since she thought her tweets were private messages. We’ll update you as this story develops.
