KAREN YOU NEED TO CALM DOWN.

According to NBC News, Klein had in a Lyft and looking at her phone while driving down New York City’s West Side Highway when the incident occurred. She was unaware as to whether or not her drive had cut off the unidentified woman known to the internet as Kidz Bop Karen. However, she did notice the woman giving her driver and herself the bird. This was when Klein decided to give the woman a thumbs up. When the two cars finally came to a stop at a light, Kidz Bop Karen stormed over to Klein’s Lyft vehicle and hit the passenger side woman. Klein says, the altercation made her feel uncomfortable and unsure for her safety, so she began to record.

“I honestly started filming because I was scared she was going to jump in the car,” Klein told NBC News. “The look in her eyes was scary and road rage is kind of scary. I was scared for sure.”

In Klein’s video of the heated exchange, Kidz Bop Karen can be seen leaning into the Lyft driver’s front passenger window and yelling at Klein.

In the video, the Lyft driver seems to calm the situation by conceding that it was his fault. “I’m sorry. I’m really sorry. It’s my fault.” Still, Kidz Bop Karen continued to rage, sticking her tongue out at Klein and staring back at her wide-eyed.

“She thinks it’s cute that her driver almost hit my kids, and she thinks she needs to take a video of it instead of apologizing,” Kidz Bop Karen sparks sarcastically in the video.

Klein can be heard asking the Kidz Bop Karen if standing in the middle of the road helps the situation.

“You being a b—- is going to help?” Klein snapped back before yelling “I don’t know? Calm down! Calm down!”

As the driver once again makes an attempt to defuse the situation by apologizing, Kidz Bop Karen continues her rampage.

“It is your fault,” she tells the driver before whirling around and facing Klein. “And you know, that didn’t upset me, but the b—- a– h– that told me to calm down? What I’d like you to do is apologize instead of being a b—-.”

Klein attempts to apologize before reminding the woman that her children could  hear her calling her a “b—- a– h–.”  Klein told NBC that from her seat she make out an adult and older child in the woman’s card. Kleins says the child looked to be crying.

In response, Kidz Bop Karen barks back with the ultimate line that has garnered her fame.

“My kids can’t hear me calling you a b—- … they can’t hear me because they’re listening to ‘Kidz Bop.'”

Before the video ends, and Klein and her driver drove off, Kidz Bop Karen told Klein that her “attitude sucks d—.”

Soon after capturing the moment, Klein says she shared the altercation with the site Barstool Sports, and it didn’t take long for the video to go viral. As of now, the original video has 16 million views on Twitter. While Kidz Bop Karen has remained unidentified, she did speak to TMZ and says that she’s bothered by being labeled a Republican because of the video. According to TMZ, Kidz Bop Karen has said that she feels her “her behavior is fair game for trolls because she acted like this in public.” She apparently has also said that she does not hold any animosity towards Klein  who filmed her rant and would like to apologize.

Speaking to NBC, a Lyft spokesperson released a statement in response to the incident saying: “The safety of our community is fundamental to Lyft. We have reached out to the rider and driver involved in this incident and stand ready to support any investigation.”

For those interested, Kidz Bop Karen told TMZ that the Kidz Bops tune that her kids were listening to was “Old Town Road.”

There’s A Fake Beauty Site For People To Report Domestic Violence While “Shopping”

Since the start of the pandemic, many communities have seen an increase in the amount of domestic violence reports. With more people staying at home under stay-at-home orders, many have been unable to escape their abusers. This has led to an increased need for resources for domestic assault victims.

Well, one teenager has thought up a pretty ingenious way to get that help into the hands of those who need it in a very discreet way.

Teen launches fake beauty site to help victims of domestic violence.

A teenager who was aware of the increase in domestic violence since the start of the pandemic, has taken it into her own hands to help out victims. She’s launched a resource for domestic assault victims disguised as a fake beauty site. The Facebook page called “Rumianki i Bratki” (Chamomiles and Pansies) allows victims to stuck in their homes to seek help.

“I heard about a French initiative, where people go to the pharmacy and ask for a special mask that lets the pharmacist know they are a victim of domestic violence,” Paszko said in an interview with the BBC. “I thought it was a brilliant idea, so I came up with the idea of selling cosmetics.”

Translated from Polish, the description of the Facebook page reads: “Chamomiles and Pansies is a store with natural cosmetics. We will help you with the purchase of the appropriate specifics, as well as with all other problems.” There are a total of nine products listed on the page, and each has a description detailing how the product can help.

The Facebook page offers a variety of services depending on what the victim is comfortable with.

When someone messages Chamomiles and Pansies inquiring about a face cream, they’re assisted by a psychologist posing as a salesperson. Using Facebook Chat, the psychologist is able to collect essential information. The psychologist can then send authorities to visit the home if the domestic abuse victim chooses to place an order and leave an address.

When Paszko first launched the site, she thought it would only reach her friends and extended family, but the BBC reported that more than 350 people have contacted the website. Since the initiative took off, Paszko has enlisted the help of the Center For Women’s Rights, a Polish nonprofit. It currently has over 22,000 likes.

Cases of domestic violence have been on the rise since the start of the pandemic.

More than 10 million women and men experience violence from an intimate partner  every year, according to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence based in Colorado. The National Domestic Violence Hotline reported a 9%  increase in emergency calls from March through May last year when many states issued lockdown orders. Police departments have reported increases of domestic violence cases around the country including 18% in San Antonio, 22% in Portland and 10% in New York City, according to the American Journal of Emergency Medicine.

If you are experiencing domestic violence in the United States and need help you can go to TheHotline.org to chat with someone or call 1-800-799-SAFE (7233).

Latino Twitter Gifted The World With These Seriously Good Inauguration Memes

It’s official: the United States has a new president! Yesterday was Inauguration Day in the U.S. and we welcomed Joe Biden as the 46th President of the United States and Kamala Harris as the 49th Vice President.

It was an historic day full of major milestones for the country and the world – and that was made obvious by the sheer amount of attention paid to the day’s events. One has to look no further than the amount of memes that were produced in the wake of the inauguration, from Jennifer Lopez and Lady Gaga to Bernie Sanders and the adiós to Donald and Melania Trump.

As usual, Latino Twitter showed up with the memes and left many of us on the floor laughing our a** off. These are some of the honorable mentions from a day full of historical moments and incredible memes.

Tío Bernie may have stolen the spotlight from President Biden with his very practical inauguration attire.

The long-serving Vermont senator was there to watch proceedings, bracing the D.C. cold to witness Biden being sworn in as president. To withstand the cold climes, Sanders came prepared in a big old reliable coat and mittens – with his inaugural look and general demeanour waiting for the event to begin capturing the creativity of the internet through a series of ‘Cold Bernie’ memes.

Bernie was everywhere!

The former presidential candidate was popping up in all sorts of places as the Internet memed him into a frenzy.

And he was all of us…

The former aspiring presidential candidate later addressed the attention his outfit was getting in an interview with Gayle King, noting: ‘You know in Vermont we know something about the cold and are not so concerned about good fashion, we want to keep warm and that’s what I did today.’

The Internet has even created a website where you can insert Tío Bernie into any scene you want with Google Maps.

And yes, it actually works!

Michelle Obama told us all how she felt without telling us all how she felt.

When Michelle and Barack Obama departed the White House in 2017 to make way for Donald and Melania Trump to take over the reigns, Michelle did not hide how difficult and upsetting she found the moment. So a lot of people were thrilled to see the Michelle we know and love, happy, thrilled and generally paving the way at the 2021 inauguration ceremony.

Lady Gaga giving the world Hunger Games vibes…

Lady Gaga had the honour of performing the American national anthem, ‘The Star-Spangled Banner’ and, of course, she ‘killed’ it. The dramatic and rousing performance was made even better by her custom-made Schiaparelli gown, adorned in the US colours and complete with patriotic hidden meanings. However some thought they’d seen it – particularly the brooch – before…

Then there were the adiós Trump memes that left Mexican Twitter on fire!

A la verga! Adiós, Señor Trump! 👋

This one is too good!

I. Can’t. Stop. Laughing.

Mexican Facebook was also on fire!

This Twitter user is too right, Mexican Facebook really is undefeated!

And some want to reclaim red hats!

If you could bring back red hats, what would yours say?
