Hundreds Of Trump’s Senior Policy Advisor’s Emails Supporting White Supremacy Have Been Leaked

White House aide Stephen Miller has been a controversial threat to the integrity and soundness of the White House since he was named Senior Advisor to the President for Policy in 2016. The right-wing political activist and white nationalist has frequently espoused beliefs and talking points of white supremacists and the alt-right. His policies and beliefs have proved to be a stark contrast to New York representative Alexandria-Ocasio-Cortez, a democrat and activist who has made advocacy for the rights of minorities a cornerstone of her own platform.

Recently the two politicians have gone head to toe after AOC called for Miller’s resignation after it was revealed that he had promoted white supremacist articles in the recent past.

Representative Ocasio-Cortez recently called on the White House senior adviser and immigration policy architect to resign this week.

On Tuesday, the Southern Poverty Law Center released over nine hundred of Miller’s emails that had been sent to Breitbart News editors between 2015 and 2016.

After the release of hundreds of Miller’s emails promoting white nationalist content and extremely restrictive immigration policies was released, AOC called for his resignation. Miller’s leaked emails showed that he promoted and shared stories that appeared on white nationalist websites and sparked outrage online and amongst liberal politicians.

Addressing the emails, AOC described Miller as “Trump’s architect of mass human rights abuses at the border” she went onto say that he “has been exposed as a bonafide white nationalist. He’s still at the White House shaping US immigration policy. Miller must resign. Now.” She followed up her tweets with a petition that demanded Miller’s resignation and reads “A white nationalist is currently serving as a top advisor to the President of the United States. In 2019. … This man cannot serve in the White House.”

According to the Southern Poverty Law Center over 80 percent of the leaked emails were sent while Miller served as an aide to Jeff Sessions during his time as a senator. The SPCL claims that the emails primarily touched on race and immigration.

One of the emails shows that Miller sent a Breitbart staffer a link to VDARE, an extremely influential website among white nationalists.

Other emails showed links to the right-wing website InfoWars, a media organization that has been sued by Sandy Hook families for their promotion of false conspiracy theories that the shooting, which took place in 2012 and killed 20 children and six adults, was staged.

According to SPCL, Miller also sent an email to Katie McHugh, a former Breitbart employee who has renounced her views since working at the site, that the survivors of the 2015 hurricane, Patricia “could be given temporary protected status, and that it needed to be ‘the weekend’s BIG story.'”

In response to the leaks a Breitbart spokesperson said “The SPLC claims to have three- to four-year-old emails, many previously reported on, involving an individual whom we fired years ago for a multitude of reasons, and you now have an even better idea why we fired her. Having said that, it is not exactly a newsflash that political staffers pitch stories to journalists — sometimes those pitches are successful, sometimes not.”

Since the emails were leaked, Democrats beside AOC have been quick to strike Miller down.

In a series of tweets, Caroline Orr, a reporter for the National Observer, said that “Stephen Miller emailed Breitbart 900+ times from 2015-2016 to lay out his anti-immigrant policies. His source material included: -White nationalist websites -A “white genocide”-themed novel -Eugenics-era laws that Adolf Hitler lauded in “Mein Kampf.””

Representative Ilhan Omar of Minnesota has also called for Mr. Miller to resign. Rep. Earl Blumenauer, stated in a tweet that Miller Stephen Miller should never have been hired and should be fired immediately. While Senator Bernie Sanders said “Stephen Miller’s white nationalist views are a danger to the American people. We are going to defeat this hateful administration and everything it stands for.”

An overwhelming majority of Americans support protecting Dreamers. Hundreds of thousands of young adults rely on the protection from deportation and work authorization to live with dignity and out of the shadows. Presidential nominee Joe Biden wants to make sure they stay protected.

According to the official Biden campaign website, the presidential nominee will work with Congress to reinstate DACA protections and to create a pathway to citizenship. DACA was won by undocumented activists putting fear aside and publicly fought to change the minds of Americans and politicans.

“Undocumented ‘youth’ are no longer youth,” says Moises Serrano, DACA activist and the man profiled in the documentary “Forbidden.” “DACA recipients and undocumented immigrants have been living in fear and instability for decades now. We survived eight years under the Obama administration and four years under the Trump administration. Immigration reform was promised under the Obama-Biden platform; a promise that is still unfulfilled.”

He added: “We hope that President Biden puts an end to the instability in our lives once and for all, or we are ready to hold him accountable in the same way we held Obama accountable in our fight for Administrative Relief.”

Biden promises to reinstate DACA to protect Dreamers and will be looking into ways to protect their families. The policy put forth by a potential Biden administration is pivotal in giving those who are DACA recipients a chance to live without fear and with all of the rights as their fellow citizens.

“After living through a deep loss in 2016 after losing my second mother and only being granted access to be on her deathbed in Mexico through my ability to get advanced parole through DACA I learned that no loss would ever be greater than that,” said Cindy Nava, a DACA recipient, political operative and policy advocate. “However, November rolled around and another loss took place. One that impacted my life, that of my family and my community.”

DACA is a very important issue as hundreds of thousands of Dreamers are on the line.

People like Nava are hopeful that a Biden administration will bring that dignity back to the immigrant community. It is a community that is vibrant and has contributed vastly to American culture. A BIden administration would be a chance for Nava to see herself reflected in government.

“I am hopeful to see the daughter of immigrants, a woman of color, and a woman I can finally feel represented by be sworn in as the first woman VP of this country,” Nava says. “I will look forward to an administration that listens to the communities it intends to represent. An administration that empowers the entire country to work with each other to support, strengthen, respect and uplift each other each and every day. An administration that values and is grateful for the contributions that immigrants bring to the foundation of our country each and every day.”

Nava wants to see an immigration reform that puts immigrant humanity at the forefront. One that understands the needs for people to seek refuge and a better life in a foreign country.

“No immigrant seeks to find a fix on a silver platter. Nor do they believe that this will be an easy task,” Nava says. “The only thing our families ask for is a chance. Una oportunidad para recordarle a este pais that their lucha and determination comes from a deep sense of ganas to create a life filled with more opportunities than they ever had.”

The battle over DACA is far from over but it is clear that the Trump administration is on the wrong side of public opinion. Biden’s plan would strengthen DACA and restore the program to its full functionality.

Talk about a take back.

Yesterday, Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez celebrated her 31st birthday, and to pay tribute to her, some of her biggest fans used the congresswoman’s signature looks and iconic words. The result was a mass of Tik Tok and Twitter makeup tutorials set to a mashup of Kendrick Lamar’s 2017 track “Humble.” AOC’s recent spack down of Representative Ted Yoho, who allegedly called the congresswoman a “crazy,” “disgusting” “f*cking b*tch” also made an appearance.

In an ode to AOC’s iconic takedown of Representative Ted Yoho this past July, users donned amazing lip colors and AOC’s finest words.

The AOC Birthday celebration meme saw users do their makeup and style their hair while mouthing a speech AOC gave this past July. Some of the videos featured facts about AOC and her accomplishments in office.

“I am here because I have to show my parents that I am their daughter and that they did not raise me to accept abuse from men,” the user’s mouth while the audio clip of AOC plays.

Olympic medalist Laurie Hernandez even took part in the trend.

Earlier this summer, Rep. AOC admonished Rep. Ted Yoho on the House floor after he called her a “f*cking b*tch.”

According to reports, the confrontation occurred when the two members of Congress were passing each other on the steps of the U.S. Capitol. Rep. Yoho allegedly confronted AOC and accused her of being “disgusting.” This occurred after she made comments that New York’s spike in crime had been caused by the current COVID-19 pandemic.

Rep. AOC rebuked Yoho for his lack of apology at the time on the house floor soon after.

“It is cultural. It is a culture of lack of impunity, of accepting violence and violent language against women, an entire structure of power that supports that,” AOC said before adding “Mr. Yoho mentioned that he has a wife and two daughters – I am two years younger than Mr. Yoho’s youngest daughter. I am someone’s daughter, too. My father, thankfully, is not alive to see how Mr. Yoho treated his daughter. My mother got to see Mr. Yoho’s disrespect.”
