Watch Ana Navarro Take Down Meghan McCain On ‘The View’ While Debating DACA

That’s one way to shut someone down.

Things got heated during a recent episode of ABC’s “The View” when guest co-host Ana Navarro and co-host Meghan McCain debated the merits of the government shutdown. It all started when McCain, the daughter of Senator John McCain, questioned why Navarro considers herself to still be a Republican. Navarro has made no secret about her distaste for President Trump and his administration. She spent most of the election year calling out what she considered to be the shortcomings of the Republican Party under then candidate Donald Trump. That same willingness to call out anything she sees as damaging to the Republican Party during the Trump administration has stayed strong. McCain was on the receiving end after one statement to Navarro. Here’s how it went:

Meghan McCain: “I understand that DACA is a very emotional issue at this point but most Republicans are on my side on this one, Ana. It’s really difficult for me to understand sometimes why you still consider yourself a Republican.”

Ana Navarro: “Because I am a Hispanic, immigrant, Latina. Because I was brought to this country when I was eight years old. Because my parents fled communism and it was not my decision to come here. I came here through no decision of my own. I came here through no fault of my own. Had my parents not had visas, had my parents not had the resources to hire lawyers, I would be a Dream Act kid too. That’s why this is personal.”

Fans of “The View” fell in love with Navarro after this segment.

Who else thinks she would make a great co-host for “The View”?

A few people tried to picture McCain after the clapback in her dressing room.

S A V A G E !!

There was definitely a clear winner in this debate.

Navarro – 1. McCain – 0.
