Ana Navarro And Meghan McCain Got Into A Screaming Match On National TV, And McCain Walking Off Stage Is Not What It Seems

We love a good throw down in the name of reality TV. Drama is what makes TV worth watching — it’s like a real-life telenovela, and we don’t care if people on TV are doing it just for the ratings. We live for it. One of our favorite reality shows — which is technically not a reality show, but rather a talk show — is “The View.” Those ladies can fight about anything. In this political climate of us vs. them — a/k/a the Republicans vs. the Democrats — you will not get a better TV experience, while also getting informative perspectives, than “The View.”

And today’s episode did not disappoint.

This might not come as a surprise, but Ana Navarro And Meghan McCain literally yelled at each other on “The View” and left viewers gasping for air.

The two “View” co-anchors got into a fighting match while discussing the latest Donald Trump scandal. Navarro, who typically appears on “The View” on Fridays, was discussing the topic of a whistleblower who came forward to say that President Donald Trump had talks with leaders of Ukraine in secret.

McCain attempted to make a point — which didn’t actually make any sense — that liberals didn’t like how Julian Assage released classified documents yet had issues with the whistleblower disclosing information about Trump and Ukraine.

McCain tried to correct herself and inadvertently began interrupting Navarro while she was speaking.

Once McCain realized that her point didn’t make sense, she tried to correct herself as Navarro was talking, and she really wanted to every one to hear her, which is why she began speaking very, very loudly.

“Excuse me, maybe I was clumsy in the way that I said it,” McCain said rather forcefully. Then Navarro said, pretty calmly, “you don’t have to scream at me.”

McCain said to Navarro, “I don’t know what you just said.” Navarro responded by saying, I said, don’t scream at me. I’m two feet away!”

The audience was clearly in shock, and McCain said, “you know, that’s so rude, Ana.” They quickly cut to a commercial break, but the camera definitely caught McCain walking off the set. By the time the show returned, it was as if the whole thing never happened. It was so weird! They began to talk about another topic, and the two ladies behaved pretty chill toward each other. It almost reminded us of how we are during Thanksgiving dinner when one moment we are fighting with everyone and the next, we’re all good friends again.

Even though the spat lasted two seconds, people on social media ate up the drama with a spoon.

We love a good fight, but that doesn’t mean they have to get physical. That would be the end of “The View”!

You know we had to pick a side.

We’re always rooting for our girl, Ana. Always!

Why did the segment get so heated in the first place?

These ladies can throwdown about anything, honestly. McCain has a thin skin because she always gets frustrated that enough people do not agree with her.

The two women have gone head-to-head in the past, and we can see why they have more tension lately.

McCain’s husband has made fun of Navarro on Twitter. What the heck?

We can always count on Navarro to piss her off.

This is not the first time Navarro and McCain have not seen eye-to-eye on a topic; in fact, fighting is what they do best. We’re just a bit surprised at the tone that it got to today.

McCain was clearly more pissed off at the fact that she messed up her point entirely.

McCain didn’t explain herself well in the first place, so we’re thinking her error plus the fact that everyone else was not seeing her point is what made her upset. Navarro has never backed down if she has felt disrespected.

McCain is going to have to toughen up if she wants to last on the show.

Lots of women have left “The View” because they’re tired of the bickering, so McCain better get a grip or she going to end up going back to Fox News. Girl, we are begging you DO NOT LEAVE “THE VIEW”!

If McCain leaves, who will fight with Navarro or any of the other women?

Out of all the other Republican hosts on “The View” McCain is our favorite, so we are pleading. Stick it out, girl. It’s Friday, let’s get a drink and pretend like this never happened.

McCain did address the walking off on “Watch What Happens Live” with Andy Cohen.

“I just want to say [about] the walking off footage, we are told by producers to leave the table if it’s too heated,” McCain explained. “And I get touched up backstage with my makeup so that’s what I was doing.”

Check out the whole exchange below, and get some popcorn too!

And here is McCain explaining the now-infamous moment of her walking off stage.

The President Tried Making Vulgarity Mainstream With An Attack Against Mitt Romney But Ana Navarro Had Time To Play

The President Tried Making Vulgarity Mainstream With An Attack Against Mitt Romney But Ana Navarro Had Time To Play

Ana Navarro has been one of the most vocal Republican opponents of President Trump since he announced his campaign in 2015. The Nicaragua-born political analyst does not mince words when she takes the president to task. Her latest takedown of Trump went right to the heart of his most sensitive feature: his hair.

President Trump followed his usual strategy when calling out people he doesn’t like by tweeting about them.

Utah Senator Mitt Romney is one Republican who has offered some pushback against Trump and his administration. Sen. Romney recently spoke out about the impeachment inquiry saying that Trump’s calls to Ukraine and China were “wrong and appalling.”

Trump is facing an impeachment inquiry after a call with the Ukrainian president revealed that Trump asked Ukraine to investigate Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden. The transcript released by the White House showed that the president asked the Ukrainian government to directly interfere with the 2020 elections.

Sen. Romney has been vocal about Trump’s negative impact on the U.S.’s place in the world.

In 2016, before Trump was elected president, Sen. Romney called out all of the shortcomings of Trump if he were to become president. His unapologetic and pointed takedowns of Trump are timeless.

Trump’s vulgarity and attack in the tweet are catching a lot of people’s attention.

People are concerned that the actions of the president show a troubling trend. Trump has received backlash in the past for demanding loyalty from people in his administration. Criticism for the loyalty demands was warranted since people should be loyal to the Constitution and the country’s future.

Expert tweeter and renowned Trump critic took a moment to call Trump out.

Navarro has never shied away from going after President Trump when he oversteps his boundaries and acts unpresidential. Her rebuttal against Trump is a fitting response to the president who takes the low road and uses vulgarity when attacking and nicknaming political opponents.

People added to Navarro’s list to show the other things Sen. Romney will have over Trump.

Trump’s financial superiority has been a source of a lot of questions and controversy. Since he has refused to release his tax returns, there is a lot of speculation about his actual finances. However, one thing has been proven, he didn’t do well with the money his father gave him. Had Trump properly invested the money his father gave to him, he would be richer now that he claims to be.

Though, the hair comment made many Twitter users lol on her thread.

Trump critics and dissenters have long focused on the president’s hair. His hair was such a focus during the 2016 election that Jimmy Fallon invited Trump on the show to humanize him by tossing it.

Some even took the time to share stories they have heard about the Romneys.

This one cuts pretty deep. Latino families are notorious for wanting to be the best family so just imagine someone telling your mom or dad this kind of story to make them question you as a family. Woah.

However, there are people who are calling out Romney and the ways they consider him to be a wishy-washy person.

This Is How Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Plans To Tackle Poverty In The US

This Is How Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Plans To Tackle Poverty In The US

Since making her way to Capitol Hill at the start of the year, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has been one of the most progressive voices in Congress — and her recently-unveiled policy package to tackle US poverty assures that her vision for the country hasn’t gotten any less bold.

“I am both energized and humbled to introduce legislation today to build upon the most transformative programs of the last century,” Ocasio-Cortez said in a statement.

The first-year lawmaker’s legislative package is called “A Just Society,” and it includes six individual bills.

First, the Puerto Rican congresswoman aims to update the way the US government currently calculates poverty and determines eligibility for welfare. At the moment, a single person is considered “poor” in the US if they make less than $12,500 a year. If someone makes more than that, then they are unable to benefit from programs like Medicaid, even though they could still be struggling gravely economically.  Through the proposal, called the Recognizing Poverty Act, Ocasio-Cortez would prompt the Secretary of Health and Human Services, the Bureau of the Census and the Bureau of Labor Statistics to modify the equation so that it takes more details into account, including a person’s geographic cost of living, what portion of their income they spend on health insurance or child care, and spending toward utilities. This act would undoubtedly result in a rise in the number of people who live at or below the federal poverty level and would widen people’s eligibility to welfare programs, like Medicaid, food stamps and family planning services.

According to the U.S. Census, about 40 million Americans live in poverty, a harrowing reality that the congresswoman doesn’t think many people in the country know or understand. “If we can acknowledge how many Americans are actually in poverty I think that we can start to address some of the more systemic issues in our economy,” she told NPR.

Her policy bundle includes proposals that could help the country’s most marginalized communities, including immigrants and people who were formerly incarcerated. For instance, her Mercy in Re-entry Act proposes that individuals who have been convicted of a criminal offense would be ensured access to all federal public benefits. Presently, many states ban people with felony drug convictions from receiving welfare and food stamps.

Even more, formerly incarcerated individuals often struggle to obtain government-issued IDs.

Additionally, her so-called Embrace Act would guarantee federal public benefits access to anyone, regardless of their immigration status. Currently, undocumented immigrants, including DACA holders, are not eligible to receive most federal public benefits, including benefits like the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), regular Medicaid, Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF). They’re also ineligible for health care subsidies under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and are prohibited from purchasing unsubsidized health coverage on ACA exchanges. Still, these individuals might be able to take advantage of some benefits that are deemed “necessary to protect life or guarantee safety in dire situations,” such as emergency Medicaid, access to treatment in hospital emergency rooms, or access to healthcare and nutrition programs under the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC). However, rumors that the Trump administration is considering blocking immigrants using public benefits from getting their green cards is currently halting the most vulnerable in these communities from using those life-saving benefits.

“From the New Deal to the Great Society, we have shown time and again that our nation is capable of implementing big ideas and bold solutions that match the scale of the challenges we face,” Ocasio-Cortez, 29, said in her statement. “We must once again recognize the breadth and consequences of poverty in this country and work together to ensure a path forward to economic freedom for everyone.”

Her wide-ranging proposal also considers tenants and workers.

The Place to Prosper Act would tackle the housing crisis by introducing a 3 percent national cap on annual rent increases, among other provisions. Meanwhile, the Uplift Our Workers Act would prompt the Department of Labor and the Office of Management and Budget to create a “worker-friendly score” for federal contractors.

Finally, the congressional freshman also proposed a resolution dubbed A Just Society Guarantees the Economic, Social and Cultural Rights for All that would request the Senate to ratify the U.N. Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights.

While critics have called Ocasio-Cortez’s proposal a “radical, extreme-left agenda,” the congresswoman believes it could effectively tackle the US’ poverty crisis and help the people of one of the wealthiest nations in the world to live a life beyond destitution.

“In a modern, moral, and wealthy society, no person should be too poor to live,” Ocasio-Cortez says in a video introducing her legislation. “That’s what a just society means to me.”

Ocasio-Cortez’s legislative package is her latest ambitious proposal. Back in February, when the congressional newbie was just one month on the job, she introduced the much-talked-about Green New Deal, a series of proposals backed by leading Democrats to tackle climate change.
