Fans of hip hop, get ready to pour 40 years of hip hop into your ears in only four minutes.

The Hood Internet, known for their great mash-ups of indie rock and hip hop tracks, just released arguably their most ambitious music project to date. Titled “40 Years Of Hip Hop,” the Hood Internet created a musical collage of some of the greatest hooks and beats to come out of hip hop over the last several decades. Of course, not every one could be included, but many of the heavyweights, as well as some under appreciated heroes of hip hp make an appearance. Several expected names make an appearance – like Dr. Dre, Run DMC, and Tupac – as well as several great Latino artists, like AZ, Cypress Hill, Kid Cudi and Fat Joe. Do yourself a favor: turn the volume up, hit play, and see if you can name everyone included in the video.
