President Trump Is Touring Around The World And Social Media Is Eating It All Up
After facing mounting criticism and talks of impeachment in the United States, President Donald Trump decided to visit a few places with less political turmoil. You know, places like Saudi Arabia, Israel, and the Vatican. And while he might be out of the country, President Trump cannot escape the unblinking eye of social media. Here’s a quick look at a few of the adventures our commander-in-chief has gotten himself into over the past few days.
In Israel, Melania Trump was seen slapping away the president’s outstretched hand. It became “The Swat Heard ‘Round The World.”
No word on whether or not this was a friendly love slap or full on shade. A body language expert has claimed that Melania’s hand slap was in reaction to Trump treating her like a child.
Twitter was quick to jump on Melania’s slap.
"Melania and I have a very happy marriage" <— Trump, probably, when he sees the 212,000 times we've RTd her batting his hand away.

They couldn’t hold back the snark.
That Melania Trump hand slap is savage. Sad to see a match made in heaven struggling under work stress. Remember why y'all are together guys

Or the savagery.

Trump also visited the Western Wall in Jerusalem, making him the first standing president to do so.
The wall, also known as the Wailing Wall, is one of the holiest sites in Jerusalem. Visitors to the Western Wall often leave prayers or wishes in the form of notes.
Trump’s love of walls was not lost on Twitter.
"Who paid for you?" he whispered. But the old wall keeps her secrets. pic.twitter.com/xplQhXvzQ3

Trump left a note, and some speculated what was written on it.
User @BigAlDell speculated President Trump’s note was less like a prayer and more like a tweet, writing, “I won the electoral college suck it! – DT”
While in Jerusalem, Trump let diplomats know that he had just gotten back from the “Middle East.” Jerusalem is in the Middle East, btw.

While talking to President of Israel, Reuven Rivlin, Trump said the following: “We just got back from the Middle East. We just got back from Saudi Arabia. And we were treated incredibly well.”
Trump’s geographical flub didn’t go unnoticed. The individual sitting to Trump’s left couldn’t hide his disbelief.
Straight ??♂️ up ??♂️ facepalm.
Several members of the Twitterazzi caught the goof-up too.
In Saudi Arabia, President Trump attended the opening of the Global Center for Combating Extremist Ideology in Riyadh.
Nothing weird going on here. Just three world leaders touching a glowing orb in Saudi Arabia.
The Internet showed just how perfect these photos were for memes.
I PHOTOSHOPPED SARUMAN INTO TRUMP'S ORB PICTURE AND IT'S NOT EVEN WEIRD pic.twitter.com/cVJFGP5NPG

References to movie villains were everywhere.
"Surrender, Superman or all of Metropolis will be destroyed" pic.twitter.com/g8Gqh3rAm9

The background made for the perfect evil-villain layer.
the orb photo is unsettling
and the uncropped version is a bit more diabolical
but the reverse shot is just straight out of a bond film pic.twitter.com/3YUORdpW2p

They speculated what magical powers the orb gave President Trump.

Trump plans on meeting with Pope Francis on Wednesday.
Pope Francis says he won’t ‘make a judgment’ about Trump without ‘listening to him first’ https://t.co/QMMSMO2x2K

While the Pope says he “won’t make a judgment” on Trump until they meet, other Twitter users are less forgiving.
One time offer:
If the Pope just hauls off and punches Trump, I will renounce my atheism.

No matter what happens, most people believe the encounter will be somewhat awkward.

But we’ll just have to wait and see how it plays out.
