You’ll Be ‘Skywalking On Your Haters’ After You Hear Miguel’s Dope Acoustic Version Of His New Song
“Skywalking on these haters…”
Miguel, master of sensual music (and flying across stages), was on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” performing his newest material since the release of his 2015 album “Wildheart.” Miguel’s music usually pulls from the past, a stark contrast from the party R&B of Chris Brown and the dark, over-produced sounds of The Weeknd, so fans were surprised when Miguel released his new single, “Skywalker.” The song features a more contemporary, uptempo vibe and Miguel singing about “sky walking” on haters — something fans were probably not expecting. It was also accompanied by a light-hearted, colorful music video featuring trap artist Travis Scott. Is this a new Miguel?
Last night on Colbert, Miguel played a version of the song much closer to what fans expect from the “Adorn” singer. It was acoustic, moody, and spacey — making it worthy of the name “Skywalker.”
Miguel also got a chance to perform “Come Through and Chill,” another song off from his upcoming album, “War and Leisure.”
Another sleepy, sultry song. Miguel killed this one. The album doesn’t yet have a release date, but we can’t wait.
