Before and After: These Latinos Partnered With Family to Recreate Old Photos
Every kid has to grow up and leave the warm, cozy, safe nest of their familia, even if we don’t want to. It’s just a part of life. But at the end of the day, we have to admit – we’ll always be a “Giant Junior” to our parents. AKA we’ll always be their baby, and we’ll never stop depending on them even when we’re grown and independent. Here are 5 photos that prove we will always be a Giant Junior to our parents. After reading this, you know we’re driving over to Wendy’s with our parents, primos and siblings, to enjoy a Giant Junior Bacon Cheeseburger while we talk about old times.
My little cousin and I were at a theme park, and our moms asked us to pose for a picture while we were in line for a ride. Clearly, we were super into it. Also, who knew fanny packs would still be in style? Funny how our moms still look at us as those same little girls. And I’m still down to rock a fanny pack.
There’s no friendship quite like the one between primos. My little cousin and I were at my house for a family dinner and clearly, one of us was really excited about taking a picture! Not much has changed all these years later!
Contrary to popular belief, this is not a picture of my mom holding me on my birthday. Nope, we were just that extra. It’s actually another kid’s birthday party entirely, but look how I showed up for it! Clearly, my mom is in heaven holding me and still is. And of course I’d be eating a Giant Junior Bacon Cheeseburger, since I’m totally still her Giant Junior myself 🙂
Now that is the face of a momma’s boy and I’m not even going to try and deny it. My dad totally took this pic, but guess who dug it up? Yep, my mom.
I still make the same face when my dad hugs me. We took this photo in our backyard in Mexico, and his smile is exactly the same. And I’m still serving the same side-eye. Sass for days.
