9 Love Songs In Spanish To Set The Valentine’s Night Mood

xx

Whether you’re a cynic about love or a hopeless romantic, there’s no denying Valentine’s Day is here. To embrace the official day of love, I’ll be listening to these love songs en español nonstop. Think of it as your V-day CD mix.

“Tu Carcel” by Los Bukis

Yes, this song is super old school, but you can’t help but sigh every time you hear Marco Antonio Solis’s voice.

“No Me Queda Más” by Selena

You cannot have a love song playlist without including Selena. This song, is the most heartbreaking, which is why it can’t go MIA from your Valentine’s Day mix.

“Incondicional” by Luis Miguel

Love is supposed to be unconditional, and no one says that better than Luis Miguel.

“Entre Más Me Ignoras” by Mexrrissey

Morrissey is the epitome of sadness, so when you sing his songs in Spanish it’s 100 times worse, in the best way possible.

“Eres” by Café Tacvba

This song perfectly pens everything you love about your significant other. It describes why you love them and says everything you think of them – but a million times better.

“Luz De Día” by Enanitos Verdes

I seriously considered this song to be my wedding song. Its soothing melody and incredible lyrics are enough to make any heart melt.

“Ciega, Sordomuda” by Shakira

Old school Shakira is completely bad ass. This song speaks to me on a deep level because it reminds me of how blind I can get when it comes to love. That’s what you call pasión.

“Trátame Suavemente” by Soda Estereo

We miss Gustavo Cerati — lead singer of Soda Stereo — so much! But one listen to this song and it’ll feel like he’s serenading you outside your window.

“Amor” by Cristian Castro

We often wonder whatever happened to Christian Castro. Either way, he’s left us so many great love songs, but this one is the best. Listen to it once and it’ll be ringing in your head all day long.

Beyoncé stood out, as usual, at this year’s Grammy awards. Because of her wardrobe and overall aesthetic of her performance, people all over Twitter are now starting to compare Queen Bey to La Virgen De Guadalupe. Yes, the sacred Virgin Mary. Check out how people felt about this comparison:

In case you missed it, here’s how Beyoncé looked during her performance at the Grammys.

Which many of her fans felt blessed to witness. ??

And as soon as Bey began to perform, many noticed the resemblance right away:

Like, “HOLD UP — let me take out my Virgen de Guadalupe statue for comparison really quick.”

The resemblance was actually so spot on, some people even felt like they were in church.⛪️

So Beyoncé’s performance might help you feel a little less guilty in case you missed Sunday morning mass.

Which is why three minutes into Bey’s performance, people on Twitter started reciting prayers like:

I guess you can say this guy was feeling extra blessed.??

For a better wardrobe comparison, check out these side by side images:

Not identical, but definitely a few similarities including the gold details and the over-the-head veil.

Here’s another side by side comparison including Bey’s enormous, gold halo.

The comparisons began before the Grammys, when Beyoncé released her maternity photos:

From the colors to the roses, there are undeniable similarities.

It’s no wonder this man’s niece literally confused Beyoncé for La Virgen de Guadalupe:

Some are even suggesting that Televisa should sign a contract with Beyoncé so that she can be featured in the next season of “La Rosa de Guadalupe.”

Now imagine how badass her audition would be…??

But some people are not liking this comparison at all…

Blasphemy?

Others are absolutely in love with the elements of the Virgen de Guadalupe that they saw in Bey’s wardrobe and performance.

They definitely appreciate the artistic and religious inspiration.

But no matter what Beyoncé wore that night, there’s no doubt many people felt blessed simply by her presence.

#Goddess ??

Not that she can make miracles happen or anything ?…
